Night time was beginning to set in as Songan was making his way home after meeting with Roran and learning of the next item he would have to make on his list of projects. He gave a yawn as he looked along the stream and saw the fish swimming around. His eyes gazed upwards as he noticed the stars coming into the sky. He smiled as he came close to his home and gazed off into the woods. Liluye had emerged and flew around the old wolf’s home before vanishing. It seemed like she needed a rest from everything too. He stretched his arms before beginning to make his way across the creek.

As Songan was making his way across when he moved his ears up and looked behind him to the woods. He thought he had heard something in there moving around. The male slowly moved his hand towards his knife as he gazed over to the bushes. As he was about to pull out the knife when he noticed a black and white pup running out and noticed the male. The pup rushed over to him and said hello to him. The old wolf moved his hand away from the knife and kneeled down in the pup, asking who he was. The pup was about to say something when a voice came from the woods. "Pivane, please come back. We’re not allowed to be inside the borders without permission." The young pup whined before beginning to make his way back. The red wolf rose to his feet and began to head back with the pup. He was sure he knew the voice of the one who spoke to the pup. As Pivane came back to his mother, the male gave a warm smile. "Sanuye. It’s wonderful to see that you and your pups made it here safely." The she coyote looked up to the male and gave him a smile. "Songan… it’s good to see you too." The pup looked to his mother confused before she explained to him that this was the one who helped look over them when they were born. Pivane smiled happily and began to bounce around Songan. "Pivane, you have such boundless energy." The pup nodded and then moved back over to his mother.

Songan’s eyes looked around as he asked where the other pups were. Sanuye moved a leather sling and showed the other two pups sleeping. The wolf smiled as he looked to them and stood up. "Sanuye, it’s good to see that you’re back. Why don’t you and your pups come back with me? It’s alright. You don’t have to worry about trespassing on the tribe. I’ll be sure to tell Dawali that you and your pups are here with me." Pivane wanted to lead the way, but then again he didn’t know where he would be going. The old wolf looked down to the young pup and began to lead them back to his home. Sanuye stood up as she began to pull Niyol behind her. Songan kept turning his head back to make sure that the she coyote was following him. She was close behind him and they soon crossed the creek, coming to his home. He opened the tent and let Pivane in, telling him to be careful and lay on the middle group of pelts. Pivane smiled as he curled up and told his mother to come in with him. Sanuye smiled as she left Niyol out of the tent and followed the red wolf in. He sat down on his pelts as the mother moved to her son. She carefully placed her other pups down with their brother and curled up with them. Songan closed his eyes half way as Sanuye thanked him for letting her stay with him. He nodded before laying down himself. He took a glance to the moon before closing his eyes and resting for the night.
