Ouija just had to get away from Anathema. Too much had happened there. It seemed almost as if it were cursed. Or perhaps that was himself. After all he had left a place that he had said he would help out before it had fallen to ruin. Though the place had gone downhill and was no longer safe for expectant families when he had left. If each member was being killed one by one then what reason was there to stay? And when he had left he had been expecting to start a family, not that such had worked out. Of course he ended up finding out that Mars had left the area as well and took up residence elsewhere.

It had been awhile since he had actually sat down and had a real conversation with Mars. Until recently Ouija had been caring for another only to have nothing at all come of it. Of course he ended up pouring himself even more into his work. But he finally had to take a break from that. Not that he was really taking a break. He had completed work that he worked upon transporting elsewhere. The pelt he had with him now was nowhere near as rare as the one that he had previously given away. It was still an interesting find nonetheless and so he had a few of them with him. Of course they varied in sizes since it had been a small family that Ouija had managed to capture and skin. But knowing him he had done it for the meat as well as the pelts. He didn't waste anything when he hunted. So even though he liked the pelts that hadn't been the only reason for their deaths.

Once he had the furs ready he had packed all of them within his satchel, along with the smoked meat, so that he could transport all of it easily. He knew that the skins that he had now weren't nearly as impressive as the one that he had given away before but figured that use might still be able to made from them. After all they would prove to be slick against water. These animals spent time in the water so of course the fur wouldn't let that through to get to the body. He figured that quality alone would make it worth having even if it wasn't an impressive sight to look upon.

He made his way to the borders of the pack that Mars had said he was moving to and waited there. He sent up a short, non-urgent call to allow the male to know he had a visitor. After all he hadn't warned the other before hand that he was was coming or had found out just where the other was staying so that he could knock on the actual door instead. Ah well, he figured that he could always ask for the other if Mars didn't end up being the one to heed his call.

OOC: because we were having bart show up instead of mars, ja? +3

Bartholomew had been on his way out of Dahlia De Mai. Those little kids were cramping his style and he needed some sort of get away from them. Bart knew that he would come home later, probably as Mars or someone would make sure of. The man looked rather careless as he made his way from Mars' and Krystalle's home and towards the borders of Dahlia, to maybe go meet someone and screw or something to keep his mind off of puppies and Krystalle. Maybe he could go out and get a drum or something that would be good for him to have around the house. Perhaps some paints too. He also needed a backpack to carry it all in because Bartholomew was against taking things that were not his. For example, he actually didn't have on Mars' clothing, rather he had on the white leather jacket that Mars had made in the winter and no pants because he had not been lucky to find a pair that he knew Mars didn't wear and Mars hadn't made any for him.

When Bartholomew had heard the sound of a howl that was calling for Mars,Bart couldn't possibly ignore it, because the call had been distinctly male, and Bartholomew wondered who the hell Mars knew that was a male. He had met Orin, and there was Krystalle, and Skye, and...well that's the only friends of Mars that Bartholomew knew. Mars wasn't a social creature so Bart didn't think that there would be any other friends, but apparently there was a male friend out there. Bart did not hurry in the direction of the male because he was rather lazy and he was not the one that the male was looking for, so why try and give the illusion that he was by rushing to his side?

When he had come upon the vision of the caller whom had called his other personality, he was surprised to find a man whom was two times bigger than himself and also white and painted with many different colors. Bartholomew thought that the male might have had some disease, or there was funky looking mold growing on his fur or something. He approached slowly, and almost carelessly and he looked at the male through those icy blue eyes. Who arr ya? Mars ain't 'ere right naw. the man spoke to Ouija, insisting that he was not Mars Russo and that Mars wasn't around.

OOC here: Table & Coding © Zero; Yeah, that is what we had settled on though Ouija has never met Bart and doesn't realize Mars has DID/MPD; 344 words

He was glad to find the other approaching. It really would save the hassle of trying to explain why he was hanging around the borders to someone else. He wouldn't have to say that he wasn't of ill intentions. It really was so much easier to have someone that knew him approach. He lifted a hand and gave a wave to the other. Heck, he even reached out to try and hug Mars, though he knew the other wasn't really into touch but he had been able to get away with it on sparse occasions, briefly before he allowed his arms to drop back to his sides again. He had been about to ask the other how he was doing when he said the strangest of things. What did he mean that Mars wasn't there when he could see him standing right in front of him.

The confusion was probably written all over his face. "What are you talking about? You are right here." Certainly it hadn't been so long since they last talked that the other couldn't remember him, could it? "Has something happened?" His other thought had been spoken out loud. Had the other gotten injured to the point that he couldn't remember anything? Maybe he would have to speak with Krys and see what she knew. If he could help out then he would.

"I brought you something." The words were stated tentatively as he slid his satchel off. He knelt down in order to reach into the bag and pull out the furs. "Not as impressive as the other one but should work well for keeping the water out." He offered up the furs to the other and pulled out some of the jerky that he had made as well. "Doesn't taste too bad either." He held both the furs and the meat for the other male to take. He wasn't sure if his gifts would be accepted since the other seemed unable to remember him. He didn't know if he would still be trusted to not do any harm.

OOC: Yeah it's not a widely known thing, usually people figure it out by encountering the second personality, they usually aren't told unless Krystalle saids something.. +3

The other man had reached for a hug, and if he hadn't put his arms down, then Bart might have given the guy a hug. He cocked his head at the other when he had asked him what he was talking about and that he was right there. He also would ask if something happened. Pfft, I'va always been 'ere, man. Witha Krystalle, an'uh Vox an' Senorita. Mars brought home this gnarly fuckin black sheep one day though. Still got him too. the man openly spoke to Ouija, being rather talkative unlike Mars was. Bartholomew was the total opposite of Mars in most every way, him being the charming side of Mars that people would be lucky to see, and even more lucky to know more so than the dominate personality whom was anti-social and sometimes unpleasant to be around. Bartholomew was even the one whom Krystalle fell in love with, since he had been around a lot more in the past. Uh, who're ya' again? the man even had a fake accent (that sounded real) on his tongue, from California, where Bartholomew claimed to have come from.

The man offered him gifts though, furs and meat, and Bartholomew smiled brightly to the other man, and his curled tail wagged happily behind him. Why thank ya', dear sir! the man thanked the other before he had looked back towards Berwick, maybe to invite the man back to his house since it seemed to be the right thing to do. We can go back ta' tha' house if ya' like sir. Krystalle makes some mad tea that isa too good not 'ta try. She'd also prolly appreci-tate tha' meat an' furs too, buddy. Thanks so much agai'n! Bartholomew spoke to the painted man and he threw his arms around the man whom was taller than he.

OOC here: Table & Coding © Zero; Yeah, I don't think Krys would have told him, not that I've consulted it with Kiki either; 552 words

He honestly had no qualms at all with Mars. The other male had seemed to open up enough as they had a back and forth while Ouija worked. But then again he was curious about the pelt that Ouija had found and the meat that went along with it. How was the painted male to know that he wasn't as inquisitive and conversational with others? Just as Ouija thought nothing odd about showing the other affection. He could seemingly get away with holding the other. But that was also because he wouldn't take things further than what the other wanted and was comfortable with. There was no need to force himself on one when many others were willing.

"Yes, I believe I remember the sheep. You kept him tied up outside while you warmed up inside." He had only caught a glimpse of the animal and had no real interaction with it. Still he remembered something about Mars having a couple of animals. It really wasn't that the other was speaking so much that felt off to him but simply the way that the other was speaking. Why did he insist on referring himself in the third person sense now? He hadn't habitually called himself by his own name before.

Things felt even more off when the other asked for his name. It made him really think that something bad had happened. Especially since Mars had kept in contact and allowed him to know of the move. Sure, they didn't meet every weekend but he thought them to be on friendly enough terms at least. "I'm Ouija..." His voice trailed off as he made to study the other male's face in hopes of catching some sort of glimmer of recognition. "Remember the really soft and fluffy white fur that you wanted?"

The other was being quite amicable for not remembering who he was. He was inviting him back to his home and everything. "Yeah sure, if you want to go back to your place then that is fine." A smile twitched its way onto his lips as he returned the hug that he was given. "You sure you weren't headed out elsewhere? I wouldn't want to impose if this is a bad time." After all it wasn't as if a date had been scheduled for the visit. No, he had simply decided to make a trip out this way on his own without any warning.

His fingers aimed to lightly caress the shorter male's back as he hugged him. It was more of a gesture for comfort than anything else since he figured that his friend must be ill or something. Ouija hadn't the words to express his concern and so he relied upon actions to portray it. "You know it's not a problem at all. I tend to always have extras. Besides, you are making use of them and that is better than just letting it all pile up to not be touched." Of course he liked keeping extras. Some he used for his own projects but most he ended up giving away if others needed them or expressed interest in them. He could always make more after all. And he continued to do so even when they weren't requested simply because he needed something to focus on and keep busy.

OOC: Smile Krystalle never really was the one to openly tell others about him anyways. not unless they ask wtf is up with him. +3

The male said that he remembered the sheep. That meant that they had met before, with him as Mars. There was no doubt within the Cubbins' mind. The Cubbins man had listened to the other when he had introduced himself. Bartholomew nodded his head. Itsa pleasures, Ouija, Mah name is Bartholomew Cubbins. the man spoke to the other, telling him of the name he should have been called by when he had the white jacket perched on his shoulders. He looked at the painted male and wondered where Mars had met this colorful fellow. Ouija then asked him if he remembered a white fur that he had wanted. Bartholomew perked a brow at the man and cocked his head. Nah man, I'mma saying, you and I neva talked before now. the man commented and shook his head.

When Ouija had accepted his invitation to the house, Bartholomew's hug tightened around the other male before he would let him go. He then took the largest otter fur and he wrapped it around his waist and he tied the font legs to the back legs so that it would become a skirt of sorts. He would pick up the other furs then and the meat, and put a slice of meat in his mouth and he chewed on the delicious meat. He hadn't tasted meat like this before, he wondered what animal it was. Ouija would speak again before Bartholomew was going to say something, so he ended up only finding an answer in his head for Ouija rather than commenting. Nah, I wasn't goin' nowhere really. Wassa jus' wanderin'round. Bartholomew spoke to the other male before he had started to walk back into Dahlia and towards Berwick, making sure the other male was following. Ya' have extras? Nuh, I didn't know tha'. Imma sure Mars could use some mores.. the wolfdog told Ouija, a bright smile on his face as he lead the male back to the house in Berwick.

Where ya' from, Ouija? afterall, the male smelt of a pack that Bartholomew did not know of.

The words of the other male continued to confuse Ouija. None of it made any sense to him. He was introducing himself with entirely the wrong name. Yet he still spoke of Mars. He wasn't certain what was going on. If he was suffering from some sort of memory loss then how could he know of Mars? Had he been told about Mars and just assumed it was someone else rather than himself? It seemed to almost make sense he supposed. At least that was the only way that the large and colorful male could make it work in his own mind. "No, you are Mars." The words were given with a shake of the taller male's head. He wasn't certain how he was meant to convince the other of who he was and not who he thought he was. He had never had to deal with this before. How was he to convince someone that seemed so certain that they had never met before?

He chuckled as the hug was tightened. Was the other really that eager and excited for company? Not that Ouija couldn't use it. After all that was the whole reason that he had traveled so far. He needed some time away from Anathema. He could use a friendly face. Of course he had come with the thought in mind that he would be remembered and that hadn't really happened. Even so he wasn't being turned away but was greeted with a great amount of affection. And well, he could really use that affection with all that had been going on with him lately. And well his gifts hadn't been turned away either. Actually they seemed to work better than he had originally imagined. Actually it was being put into direct use right away.

He watched as the largest of the furs was wrapped around the other's waist. He wasn't certain of the purpose for that. But it wasn't like Ouija knew anything about clothing anyways. Still the other made use of what he had brought and seemed satisfied with it. The smaller male didn't seem to mind the smoked meat either. So at least it wasn't a completely wasted trip. Especially not when he was following the other back to his home. "From a cult across the bay originally. It was where I was born." At least he figured that is what the other was talking about since they had never discussed where they had lived prior to meeting in Cercatori d'Arte. And well, he had told the other of his move to Anathema. Just as the other had mentioned his own move. That was how he knew just where to find Mars to deliver his goodies. So yes, he assumed that the other male wished to know where he had come from before he had lived within this area. "Have you always lived here then? Or did you come from somewhere else as well?" Ouija figured that is was only polite to return the question. if the other was curious about where he had come from then he should wish to know the same about the other male.

OOC: hope you don't mind me keeping things moving +3

The other male was telling him that he was Mars still. Bartholomew did not appreciate that the male did not see the differences between the two, and was growing increasingly offended by the male's rude behavior, he was being nice about other things, but about his identity the male was not playing along. The last person whom had thought he was Mars, he had to make up some bullshit about how Mars was his twin brother or something, and Bartholomew did not want to use that stupid excuse again. He wasn't going to explain that he was just another personality to Mars either because he was against admitting that he was Mars, unless it was to Krystalle since she knew that they were the same person. Bartholomew let an unhappy look pass his face for a moment before he was leading the male into the Dahlia De Mai territory.

The dyed male had told Bartholomew that he was from a cult across the bay. That was not so far from here, and then he asked Bartholomew where he was from or if he had lived here for the whole time.Bart let a chuckle pass his lips and he shook his head at the other male. Nah, Imma not from here. Too cold 'ere ferr all tha shiz'. the male spoke, smiling at the male and chuckling. Imma from Ame-rica. California ta be 'spific. the man spoke as he walked on towards Berwick. Mars was the reason we're 'ere though. Stupid asshole movin' all the time. Bartholomew commented and threw his hands in a weird way and continued to walk along carelessly.

The two got to Berwick awhile into their walk, finding it pretty far from the borders that Bart had been wandering towards and where Ouija had been located. Bartholomew looked at his painted friend. Krystalle an' Me have pups now. Itsa insanity, man. the man randomly brought up, figuring that the man would know about Krystalle since he knew Mars. He didn't know if the man had been told already, or if Ouija was around when Krystalle was pregnant or not. He was never around when Ouija was, so how would they know?

OOC here: Table & Coding © Zero; Nope, but I failed at keeping things moving though you know my circumstances; 503 words

He wasn't meaning to be rude. No, he though it was a case of forgotten identity and that if he repeated it enough times then the other would finally pick up on it and remember just who he was. He didn't realize it was a separate personality entirely. No, he thought it might be the afflictions of a curse instead. After all he believed that where they had once lived together had to be cursed because of the spilled blood of innocent lives. They hadn't gotten a prayer or retribution. That could end up plaguing the land and those that continue to reside upon it. So this turn of events had him slightly fretting that the other hadn't left in time to escape the touch of the curse.

He nodded his head as the other explained that he came from somewhere else instead. "I've always lived up this way so I guess I don't ever really notice the cold." Well, he knew there was a change in temperature and seasons but it didn't bother him all that much since he had been born with this weather close to a time when the weather had been changing. He had a thick coat in order to block out the chill. So it wasn't the weather itself that got to him but how all the plant life went to sleep and made it hard for him to dye himself. But he would be prepared this time. He had already started to work on reserves. Sure, they would be faint when winter came around but faint color would be better than no color at all. At least that was his opinion. After all he hand made up for lack of color with blood and dirt the past winter.

He followed the other male towards his home. He had never visited before so he didn't know his way around. Instead he was depending on the other to show him around. "Really? I didn't know that you were trying." He looked at the other in surprise. He knew that Krystalle had been living with Mars but he had no idea that there was more to it than that. "I still don't have any." He said, then after a pause for a sigh he continued. "Addi left me. She just left our den without warning." And to think it came after her confession of feelings. She had talked of having a family with him and then just disappeared during the middle of the night. And that is why he was out this way, in an attempt to forget his troubles. "She isn't the first one. Just guess the future doesn't hold that for me." He mused softly, gaze focused solely upon the ground. His thoughts were troubled no matter how he tried to ignore them. He forced his head up and forced a smile onto his lips. "Maybe I should just give up on women for awhile and start looking at men for some satisfaction. Or just some instant gratification."
