M-Unforgivable transgression

(if the date is bad just lemme know and I can change it)

It was just another day to him, patrolling the borders of the infamous Dahlia de Mai, full of villains, rapists, murderers and your normal bout of cheap thieves and prostitutes. Well if it was an inferni member describing the famed borders, today though it was much further away than the myths held about it. In some degree those myths still helped keep the borders safe, no one would dare trespass these borders with the stigma that came with them. And as much as the lumbering mountain wanted to keep it that way, he was about the only one left who could strike enough fear in an individual to ensure they would never think of breaking protocol ever again. Saluce sat mounted a top that massive horse that only added to his impressive height. Dressed as he always was in the armor that was quickly becoming the stuff of legend around those he met.

Today looked to be one of ease, he’d be able to retire early to his solitary house hold and finish off the day with a bottle of wine. But his nose struck a scent that made his blood boil. He was currently some distance inside of Dahlia, checking the trail leading out of his home, when he came across the unfamiliar scent. The mountain knew they didn’t belong, the border had been breached and maybe there hadn’t been enough fear spread about to keep their borders safe. A hand swiftly grabbed the weapon with the biblical inscription set into the steel, and his impressive frame became aloof and bristling with energy. The horse sensed the change in its rider and its steps became more pronounced, snorting in anger as well.

Oh the thrill, today would be a day he’d get to relapse and become the savage animal he always was.

Darn this sucks bad. In short, he's waiting for someone to cross his path... up a tree ¬.¬

Marbas; a new rank which came with more responsibilities. The young male wasn’t entirely sure what to make of the whole thing; he was more than aware that he wasn’t the most trustworthy, mature of wolves within Anathema and yet, now he was raised another rank. Simply considering his new position made panic rush through him, his body felt as if it was being crushed by an unknown weight. Heck, he didn’t even truly know what was expected from one of his new found rank, but he could only trust that he was capable of doing it. One of the few things he did know was that he was expected to expand upon his knowledge of weapons and so now he found himself within his room, head stuck in his box as he rummaged around for whatever weapons he’d dumped in there.

After a moment of rummaging around, he felt the distinctive cool, smooth feel of metal and cautiously wrapped a hand around the object and pulled it out of his make-shift box’s depths. He’d managed to find one of the larger daggers, gifted to him by his adoptive father during their travels. After having found his Katana, he’d left the blade in the box, long forgotten; he’d never been all that skilled with it and had only really used it for odd jobs, yet maybe now he could incorporate some of his new knowledge and learn to master the blade. Picking up a few leather straps, he attached them to his left forearm, strapping the dagger to his body.

Next, he grabbed his pocket knife and added that to his array of weapons; considering what he had planned, the more sharp objects he had with him, the better. Finally, he thread his katana through his belt and begun to leave the darkness of the caves and make his way to his destination; he would not tell anyone what he had in mind, for no doubt none of them would approve of such reckless actions. But these days it seemed he had nothing left to live for, and yet he had this new rank, so surely this was what he was meant to do?

Travelling by dark and remaining hidden during they day, the Marbas had successfully managed to reach his destination without being spotted by anyone he knew. It was as if he was guilty of something, they way he was trying so desperately to hide what he planned to do. But standing upon the Dahlia de Mai borders, there was no going back and so he crossed them, keeping low and alert to avoid detection, using the darkness of the night to surround and hide him from sight, for even if someone of the pack scented him, he would not make himself easy to catch. Time passed as he searched the packs territory, making his way deeper and deeper into the unknown lands, searching for whoever had been lurking around Anathema, for that canine was his target; no one lurked and threatened the pack he called home, no. This foolish canine, whose scent had made him so easy to find, would pay for his actions.

Bark scraped at his back as he shifted his weight, slowly blue eyes opened to quickly closed; the sun had risen already and even the leaves and branches above him could only block out some of the blinding light. Reaching behind him, he grabbed the branch and pulled himself into a more up-right position and pushed his back up against the tree’s trunk. Sleeping in trees wasn’t ideal; to remain undetected, one had to go up them fairly high, but if one were to fall from such a height during their sleep, they would without a doubt be severely injured; a lesson he had learned the hard way, many times over. Looking down upon him, he saw no movement, no tell tale sign of someone waiting for him to come down so that they may rip his throat out. Still, he turned to the albino crow, “Anyone?” he asked, getting a blank stare in response and so he could only assume that no one had passed them by as he slept.

Reaching for his Katana, he wrapped one had around its handle and used his other to steady himself in the tree. As he’d made his way into the territory, he’d made no attempt to hide his scent so someone would come this way eventually. A smirk spread across his lips; foolish wolves never consider that their enemies may lurk above them and when such a fool stumbles across his location, he fully intended to capture the canine and interrogate it before killing it.
