Tomorrow's Dawn
It had taken him a while to get acclimated to his new home, but Soribus had learned every nook and cranny and thought of them as just that now. After so long wandering, it was quite startling to finally settle in one place. But he had a job now, and a family of sorts, and he had to put priority on them. He had discovered the little village that some of his packmates had settled in, examining each house with a fascination he didn't know he could muster. they were all so perfectly designed for settling, and he managed to peer into one at the vast rooms and old furnishings. He had never seen a town before, how was he to react to something like a run-down couch?

Soribus was, currently, exploring the town as usual. He was to take care of livestock in this pack, a job which he understood was quite needed. He always had an affinity for creatures, both in the hunt and out of it, so it made sense for him to be in charge of their well being. He had already amassed a few goats from up in the mountains and had tied them aside, to one of the empty houses in the town. He was started on building a fence to house them, but... ah, it was slow going. He was no artisan, and his work was clumsy and slow going, frequented by stopping to care for the animals. Perhaps it would serve him well to get to know someone, rather than isolate himself like this. But he wasn't outwardly social by nature, not in the slightest. So how was he to do this? He knew it would be far better if he could ask someone to build him his fence, and he had already gained a few splinters from botched attempts.

"Agh," he hissed softly, lifting his hand in front of his face and growling softly at the splinter in his thumb, carefully pulling it between his claws and jerking it out with another hiss and quick lick to his thumb. Third one today. He gave a surreptitious glance towards his goats - three of them, all tied up nibbling at some overgrowth coming up around their feet. He was proud of himself for catching them as he did. Only one was hurt in the attempt, favoring its left foreleg a bit. Soribus, however, had wrapped it tight and was minding it carefully. Couldn't have the goat going completely lame. And that lead him back to his fence problem... containing the animals would certainly keep them safer, but...

"I really need to find someone to help me," he admitted under his breath, standing and glancing back over his shoulder as if expecting one of his packmates to be miraculously standing there waiting for him. "Where should I start?"
