As the days grew warmer, Oak felt increasingly happier. He had spent the remainder of the winter and the entire spring hunting for the pack as Alder had suggested, improving his skill in reading with Kansas, and exploring the world outside of his comfortable home. Though he enjoyed the stories he had read, as the days grew warmer he could not sit still with a book like the mysterious, pale man seemed to do all the time. Oak preferred to be out and about, and during the past several months, he had discovered countless beautiful places. The world was as magnificent as it was gigantic, and the boy almost could not believe that it spanned far, far beyond what he would ever see. Still, he was happy with all that he had seen.

Since his ill-fated visit to Inferni, the crimson and ivory youth was wary of treading close to the lands of other packs, but somehow his paws took him just beyond the southwestern border of Crimson Dreams and toward what he understood to be AniWaya. He had heard only good things about it, and since he was too tired from a long night of tracking elk for an extended journey into unclaimed lands, he wished to go no further and figured that he might as well satisfy his curiosity about the tribal pack. He paused well away from its borders, tilted his two-toned maw toward the bright blue sky. His call rang loud and confident, belying the anxiety of his past experience. Cobalt eyes gazed ahead with uncertainty as he sat on his haunches to await whomever would come to answer him.

sorry for the wait!

Mizu felt good these days. Her wrist was healing quite nicely and her stomach was growing bigger. Pretty soon she would have her pups. She didn't know why but today the Kunikoti felt like patroling the borders. A smile grew on her face as she grabbed her bag, slung it over her shoulder and walked out the door. J'adore was out training somewhere so she had left a note on their bed. As she walked outside she was surprised by the warm air that greeted her. It felt nice along with a slight breeze. She took a look up at the clouds and saw that they were puffy and white. She smiled, her favorite.

As she walked around the borders she thought of all the things that had happened to her. Some good, some bad, some great! She smiled, though all the bad ones prepared her for the good ones. Overall, she was very happy with the way her life had played out. If there was one thing she could change it would be that her brother didn't hate her. But things happen the way the do for a reason.

As she came out of a group of trees she heard a howl. It wasn't too far away so she decided to answer it. She walked semi-quickly and soon saw a reddish colored male. She smiled, and continued walking over there, "Hello! Can I help you with something?" She waved a greeting and kept walking towards him. She went right up to him, perhaps a dangerous thing given the recent events going on. "I'm Mizi Kuin, Kunikoti of Aniwaya." She introduced herself with a smile.

Many apologies and chocolates for this wait. 300+

Oak sensed something about this place that he truly liked. He could not name it, only feel it as it penetrated each of his senses and settled into his subconscious. Since he had not yet seen beyond the pack borders, Oak ignored the feeling, though he remained eager to see how it blossomed. It was not long before he heard a sharp call in response to his, and as it died down the fur along his ruff and spine began to stand, his bulky muscles growing taught. He had to be prepared for anything. There was a stirring in all the lands, and he was not blind to it. He must remain cautious whenever he went beyond the borders of his home.

Through the trees appeared a creature that was quite the opposite of threatening. He sniffed the air, and knew she was female before she had even drawn up to him. As her features became clear when the distance between them closed, Oak totally relaxed, his ears dropping cordially and his body loosening up. She was absolutely beautiful. Older than he was, for sure, but that did not deter him from looking her up and down. She had a nice figure, though there was a slight roundness to her abdomen — it never occured to him that she might be pregnant, just that she might be a little on the heavier side, but she was still breathtakingly beautiful. A little chunk did not bother him one bit.

Oak gazed at her, the inside of his mouth growing moist with saliva, but he continuously swallowed it down to keep himself from drooling before the gorgeous woman. Her fur was pure white, but marked with a soft blue beneath her shimmering eyes and around her ruff. Her words were friendly and cordial, staving off the any remnant of uncertainty that he had felt before. Hello, Beautiful, he spoke with a wicked grin, though his cobalt eyes were soft and his tail waved steadily behind him. I'm Oak, of Crimson Dreams. Here, Oak went all out, stretching his forelegs into a chivalrous bow. Rising up to his full height, he stated his business as she had asked. I came to visit our neighbors. I like this place, and I want to see more of it. He gazed beyond her into the trees as he spoke, then as quick as a snap of fangs his eyes returned to her. Would you show me around, Princess? he queried with a raised brow.

blech, short post. didn't know what else to say thooo.

Mizu smiled at the orange male's greeting. "Hello Oak. It's nice to meet you. Tell me, how is Crimson Dreams doing these days? I used to live there." She smiled, throwing that out, just to make small talk. Oak's small words of admiration didn't phase Mizu, even though she had a mate she didn't mind that he said things like he was. As long as he didn't try to go further than words she could brush on by them.

Mizu nodded her head, "Of course I can show you around." She smiled, "Follow me Oak." She started to walk away, but paused waiting for the male to follow her. She needed to figure out where to take him first.. Perhaps the stables. Yes that would be nice. She loved that area, though she hadn't been there for a while. "Would you like to see the stables first?"

can we forward date this to the 23rd or so?

He thought she looked a little familiar. He faintly recalled seeing a blue-tinted wolf around Crimson Dreams, but perhaps in the time that had passed he had confused her with Kansas. It wasn't important; she did not seem to remember him either. We had a hard winter, but now everything's fine. You remember my mother? he asked curiously, never passing up the chance to talk about his mother with others who knew the gray woman. He adored her.

The ivory female before him puzzled Oak, for she did not in any way respond to his flirting. He felt a bit deflated, wondering if there was something about him that she did not like — or perhaps she was in love. Oak knew by watching Kansas and Savina's ridiculousness not to ever attempt to make a move on someone who was in love. Whatever it was that caused her to reject his pathetic advances, he was a smart boy, and he would not attempt to woo her any longer. He figured he would casually ask if she had a mate at some point, but for now, the lovely young woman had not only accepted his request and invited him into her home, she had offered to show him the stables. Coal rimmed ears perked excitedly. He had been fascinated by horses since he had first seen Lexington, and that fascination had grown after Alder had shown him the stables of Cour des Miracles. That's kind of you, he said with a smile, his tail giving one swift wag. Lead the way.
