short post is fail ;__;

She was just so annoyed with the entire fucking thing, it was a huge gaping problem. The hybrid snarled to herself as she walked along, trying to avoid the scents of others, the strangers that didn't belong. None of them belonged here, and she had been placed in such a high position within the ranks it was almost indecent, she was almost required to be happy about it all and it gnawed at her self restraint like an overly enthusiastic rodent chewing on wood. She took no notice of the landscape around her and instead was simply following the scent markers that proclaimed the edge of the territory like she had done back at Phoenix Valley. Woe betide anyone who tried to cheer her up about this whole farce.

Not sure if this is what you wanted in a reply, but here ya go. WC: 318

Like the young, simple minded woman that she was, Tawny took off into the forest, wanting to explore this new place thoroughly before the others got to it. Her timid demeanor kept her away from the idea of searching the grounds with her new pack mates. The only ones she’d allow to accompany her would have been Jace or Saul, and they were both occupied somewhere else, she was sure.

Tawny pressed her nose to the ground and began moving around, taking in scents and the texture of the dirt and grass beneath her paws. The summer air was crisp and chilly, making her body shiver slightly, for she was still too skinny to properly keep herself warm. The exploring was going good, especially since she saw many built structures within the first mile or so. She knew that this place would be good for the others, simply because they would all have somewhere to sleep at night. Despite their reluctance to try and get along with each other, things would be okay.

The small female kept moving, wanting to cover as much ground as possible within the next hour or so. She was starting to get hungry, and her leg was really hurting again. The small fracture had been acting up ever since the rains that had driven her from her den on the beach. All of this traveling was just making it worse, and she didn’t know what to do to make the pain go away. Every few minutes she’d stop moving and lean up against a big tree, resting her body and letting the hurt leg hang limply in the air, keeping her weight off of it. Eventually she just started walking with it tucked up against her chest, only using her two back legs and right front paw for balance as she walked, not willing to inflict any more pain on herself.

Big Grin

Perhaps more than the rest, Razekiel was far more estranged. Former Dahlians had other former Dahlians to stick by until they met the rest of their new packmates of the Valley, and of course that worked vice versa; Razekiel, on the other hand, was almost entirely on his own.

He would not reveal to those around him that it dug at him deeply. He knew very well that many of the Valley and Dahlians were hardly happy with him or with the changes forced so suddenly upon them — well, perhaps "forced" was too strong a word. They'd had their choice, and now all the coyote could do was try to comfort and ease them into a life they weren't used to. It would be a difficult task, indeed.

How was he even going to do that, anyway? Well, he certainly didn't know. It would take time, and he was not about to force himself upon them... so-to-say. Instead, he lay face up in the grass, staring up at the clouded sky, contemplating such things. After some time it became frustrating, especially without the aid of marijuana to ease his thoughts to a slower pace, and instead Razekiel found himself rolling about on his back instead, tongue lolling despite the giddy giggles that escaped his maw. How strange the sky was, such a bright color without the tinge of his rose-tinted glasses to color it beautiful! It needed no such manipulation, of course; the Great Mother bore unspeakable beauty especially in rawest form.

Air untainted by the usual reek of marijuana that clouded him, the coyote noticed other scents much more directly, and one loomed in the air clear as day. Two scents? Bah, his mind was surely tricking him. The prince rolled onto his stomach, bramble and grass possessing his face and fur like a wild demon, straw eyes dotting from place to place in search for the source. One, out of sight; the other, rather frustrated in her stalking of the borders. He did not walk to join her, no; he rolled, stomach to back and back again a dozen times over, until he rolled up right next to her, bright eyes and four legs dangling in the air like a child.

"Hello, peach," he grinned, undaunted by her apparent foul mood. "Your fur's like a painting, man; a real groovy motley of brush strokes 'n' rain, man. I dig it."

Ookami wasn't very happy with the move. Sure he had agreed to go along, but that was only because he wanted a home for him and Adonia. His viens pulsed as he quickly walked. He wasn't paying attention, he was just 'patrolling' the borders. He didn't pay attention to anything on either sides of the marked lines, he only stared at the ground. Homesickness eating at him. He missed the Valley. Things were never going to be the same, in this moment he knew it. Nothing would ever be the same. He was in a place that he didn't belong with people he didn't know.

Sure he had always been positive about meeting new people, but not like this... Not like this. He wanted to go home. He wanted Phoenix Valley to be alive again. But he knew he would never get what he was wishing for. So he may as well just put up with it and try to, to just go with it. He could adjust, just like he adjusted to life in the Valley... But that was different wasn't it? He had gone there because his heart led him there. This time it was his brain. His brain told him he needed to have a home for him and his mate. And his brain told him to say yes!

He almost didn't see the others. The first thing that reached him were two familiar scents. He looked up sharply in time to see Jace, whom he had recently spoken too, and one of his new leaders... And another wolf he didn't know. He nodded to all of them. "Hello." His voice was tight and full of... what was it? He didn't have a word to describe what he was feeling. He wasn't angry, so what was it?

Tawny is gunna have to make herself more noticable XD

So consumed in her anger and upset thoughts she missed the scent of Tawny entirely and almost missed her perceived cause of all this madness as he came rolling up to her. Rolling? What was wrong with this man? Was he bent in the head or something she wondered to herself as she looked down upon him with a badly disguised frown, it would not do after all to disrespect the leader, she took a few steps back from him and raised and eyebrow at him. Peach? That was.. almost funny but she would be damned if she laughed or even cracked a smile, instead her frown lessened ever so slightly.

She didn't really know what to say to him, she longed to place all the blame solely on this males shoulders but she knew she would be wronging him most grievously and that was not something she would allow herself to do at all. Still he was on the floor at her feet in a manner most un befitting of someone who was leader of a pack, to be honest the female was quite confused about the entire situation forcing some of her anger away so that she could focus on being confused for this moment in time.

"Uhhm thanks, I guess. Personally I think it looks ugly and mismatched." The woman folded her arms across her chest and shifted uneasily, she was very self conscious about how she looked. She looked up to see Ookami making his way towards them. She waved at the huge golden male and spoke to him as he got into earshot,

"Hey Ookami." She felt somewhat better with Ookami here now, as though there was a physical barrier between her and this entire mess that was unfolding before her very blue and amber eyes.

Tawny could smell Jace nearby, and hoped that the beautifully colored wolf would help her out a little bit since it was getting harder to walk. As she drew closer, the scent of a few others hit her nose and sent her reeling. Was she ready to meet new pack mates? Was she in good enough condition to greet them, knowing that they would most likely be put off by her appearance and lack of knowledge? It was hard to know, but despite her rapidly beating heart, she kept moving at a steady pace. There really was no reason to avoid the inevitable. Eventually she'd have to deal with letting others see her and socialize in some way, so why not start right now?

Breaking through the trees, the young woman's deep blue eyes took in the scene quickly. Jace looked really angry, making Tawny stop her movements and step backwards, not willing to get close to a pissed of female. Her new leader, the male that made her laugh, was rolled onto his back with his hands in the air, his head tilted as he looked at Jace. Lastly, another male stepped through the trees at about the same time she did, his expression seeming to mirror Jace's closely.

Shaking slightly, Tawny crouched into a rather submissive stance and hobbled closer to Jace and Razekiel, until she was almost touching the upside down male. The smell of something sharp and earthy came from his fur and she leaned in a little bit, sniffing the scent in and trying to identify it. Tilting her head to the side, she got closer still, pressing her nose to his shoulder and inhaling once more, totally forgetting that he might like his personal space. That was the problem with being alone for so long at such a young age, she forgot a lot of the rules that went with being around other canines.

Tawny huffed in frustration, pulling back and looking at Razekial's face in confusion, trying and failing to figure out what the scent on him was.

Man I love playing this character.

How quickly a situation turned into a scene! Before the others arrived, Razekiel was graced with Jace and Jace alone, even if she did not strike him as being in the best of moods. Nonetheless, the Seiryu went entirely undaunted against her unspoken pessimism, and though she argued with his wholly honest words, the coyote knew no discouragement. "Oh, no, no no! You are a painting of perfection, my love, and I only speak the truth. You look as if a rolling thunderstorm, with white lightning here and dark clouds here," he grinned, eyes wide like a child's, as his paw moving from place to place on her pelt as he pointed out the colors as seen in his eyes. Flattening the tops of his ears against the ground and looking at her purely upside-down, he grinned toothily. "You are not a thunderstorm in your heart though, this I know. I hate to see it rain in your eyes when surely the brightest of suns hides behind the clouds." His smile became innocent as if to silently encourage her to cheer up.

Straw eyes shifted at the approach of another, at whom the coyote held his smile strong but analyzed in the white male's approach. "And a sunshower as well," he remarked as he compared the golden male's bright coat to his less-than-bright demeanor, the coyote's grin unfaltering but tone dipping ever-so-slightly with subtly unmasked concern. Was Ichika no Ho-en so bad that none could simply give it a chance? He knew the former Valleymen had been rather attached to their scar-faced former leader; even if Jefferson had been his polar opposite, perhaps there was hope for Razekiel to warm their hearts yet. "You walk with such strength in your stride, yet the rain hides the true sun and colors, man. Such magnificent creatures, the both of you, yeah? I am truly honored, man, truly honored." A genuine smile as straw eyes glanced between them, levels of compassion evident in his bright-eyed gaze... and all the while, he was still flat on his back, childishly addressing them with legs hanging in the air.

And suddenly another was with them and upon him, her snout in his ear. Ah! How had he missed her? Grin broadening earnestly, the coyote licked her nose affectionately when she drew close enough, then chuckled. "And the Mother's earthquake," he considered her trembling aloud. "You shake me with your beauty as well! Dear Mother, I did not know I would be graced with such groovy cats in my radical pad!"

He rolled to his feet and rose rather quickly and, his fur messied and coated with grass, bowed elegantly and submissively in respect to them all. "This Razekiel would be the Mother's most blessed to be named a friend to each of you."

ooc- Sorry for the wait! XD and also I am loving the way Razekiel talks ! XDXDXDXD

"Hi Jace." Ookami couldn't help but smile at the male's words. They just were so lively and... strange. They just completly brightened his day. No matter how angry he was. "I am honered as well. I'm Ookami.. Sorry I'm in such a bad mood.. I just miss the lands of Phoenix Valley." He frowned slightly, and also he wasn't sure about this new place. But he didn't add that in there. He knew that Razekiel and Nayru had worked hard on everything and he respected that. But he just missed his old home.

He chuckled a bit at Razekiel's words. They were so strange to him but they were cool as well. He smiled at the other female that was there, he didn't know her though. She had been there to here what his name was though so he didn't speak it again. When the leader bowed, Ookami dipped his head at him. "That would be nice." He smiled kindly. He looked somewhat happy on the outside, but really at this moment he was just trying to be nice and show respect. He didn't want his leader to get a bad impression from him or anything.

so sorry for the wait

Razekiel's words to her, about her fur coloring being a thunderstorm of color and beauty instead of a patchwork sheet of mismatched-ness had her shuffling her feet and unknowing what to say back to him. No body had ever referred to her as a thunderstorm before, her birth pack had called she and her sister as different ones to them but still part of the pack for their striking colors and Jace had been under the impression that everyone else found her ugly as she did herself with the exception of Temo, it was just they were all too polite to say so because no one had ever told her otherwise. For being as smart and fierce as she was, Jace was surprisingly silly about her appearance and what others thought of it. Then he expressed his sadness at seeing her upset, she was beginning to get the hang of his strange speech, he seemed to genuinely care that she was not happy and she answered with the truth,

"I miss my home is all."

Her form turned to the submissive form of Tawny as she crept closer to the small gathering that was forming here and the hybrids eyes narrowed in concern for the smaller and younger minded woman, she was visibly limping and her ribs pushed out more from her skin since the last time Jace had run into her, her wrists and ankles a little thinner and her spine pushing from her back with more sharpness. Her mind was only partially on what Razekiel was saying to Ookami as she looked over Tawny with a mother's concern. It had not been so long since her own pups had died so maybe Jace was transferring all the maternal instinct meant for them onto this brown toned one who could not care for herself effectively or efficiently, who needed some kind of help and a mother's love and care, in the same way she had taken in Roran.

As Razekiel was rising to his feet, Jace was stooping down to her knees, lowering herself to the child woman's level so as to appraise her from all angles. Her tattered ear was still situated on their eccentric leader and his words and actions, which quiet frankly confused the hell out of her hierarchy instincts, was she above or below this one who kept submitting himself to her? Her rational mind knew without a doubt that he was the leader and therefore above her but wild instincts from more wild times still buzzed in confusion. She allowed him a few seconds of her attention, instead keeping half an ear on Tawny and managed an almost half smile, the best she could do under the circumstances,

"Sure." Then her attention was back on the brown Kusala and her hands began to run along thin limbs, the female wincing at how much the bones stuck out and their sharpness, surely she must be in pain to have this little fat upon her?

"Tawny, do you need help catching some food, dear?"

OOC: Jace is so sweeet! Big Grin
WC: +3

Shaking like a leaf in a strong breeze once more, the little female crawled towards the only one in the clearing that she knew and trusted so far. She had known the colorful woman for a while now, ever since their encounter before the move, and Jace had never done anything to harm their interesting relationship. The other female was so pretty, such a splash of colors that kept the young girl's eyes busy, taking it all in. Once she had reached the wolf hybrid, Tawny stretched out on the ground and looked up at Jace, baring her teeth in a playful smile, a soft, non-threatening growl rumbling in her chest. The young one rolled onto her back when Jace's hand slid through her fur and over her sharp bones feeling all the places where it was obvious that she was malnourished and under fed. The petting, as Tawny saw it, felt so good that her tongue lolled out of her mouth and she yawned widely, relaxing even though she would normally be tense.

Jace's words made her head tilt to the side, trying to understand the question. Only 'help' and 'food' stood out in her mind, and she was easily able to catch on after that. Hopping up onto three paws, the hind one still tucked up near her tummy, she wiggled around with excitement. Nothing remotely healthy or filling had passed her jaws in a long time, and she'd been resorting to eating like a rabbit over the past few days. It was obvious that her body wasn't taking to the new diet very well, and she had continued to loose weight. All of her constant moving around the territory wasn't helping either, because her restlessness was making all of her injuries worse than they already were. "Y-yes...pleaaase, M-misss Jace."

A little late due to absence, but here I am! ^^

Each soul gathered to be a piece of Ichika no Ho-en had its own story to tell. This intrigued Razekiel to no end, and despite his whimsical and airy exterior tainted by drugs and whatever else was possessing his mind with love and peace, the coyote was well aware most underestimated him and were not quite jumping out of their skin to open up to him. After all, he provided a rare type of conversation, one most might interpret as mindless and constantly misunderstanding. Even though this was quite the opposite — the red-faced Seiryu heard and absorbed all that entered his ears' space and subtly calculated and discerned from it beneath a mask of peaceloving airiness and ignorance — Razekiel respected their space, and allowed those in his presence to approach him with whatever information they wished.

The coyote's ear twitched with subtle discouragement; none had really acknowledged his offer for friendship — Jace's response, if even to him, had been quick and dismissive — and the trembling girl Tawny had not even uttered a word. For a few seconds his brows furrowed and his smile waned, straw eyes following Jace and Tawny as he analyzed and recorded within his clouded mind. Seconds after the smile returned, renewed and undaunted, as if nothing at all had happened. He did not worry if any had seen; after all, even with his unpredictable and quirky behavior, Razekiel still had other emotions.

"I have laid in the breast of many, many homes in my years," he said, tongue twirling the still-smoking joint round and round between his lips. Eyes rolled to Ookami and back, addressing him now as he allowed the girls to do whatever it was they were doing, and he observed out of the way and from afar. "I miss each one. The people, the air, the wind, the birds. These eyes have seen a thousand things once, and would love to see them each again."

He dipped his head, smiling quietly as he straightened the glasses perched over his nose. "But this treehugger's been called to bigger things... like founding a sanctuary for those that deserve it most." He motioned, just quickly, at both Tawny and Jace, then adopted an expression of quiet contentedness and sat back to observe.
