Pacing back and forth, a few strides forward before he turned around and repeated the action once more. No matter how bad things looked and despite how the evidence was stacked against him, he would not admit it; for if he did it would make no difference, he’d still be stuck in the situation of which he’d walked into. Gingerly, a pale hand ran through his matted hair, freeing some strands from the tangled mess but overall, making little difference to his hairstyle; in his opinion, maintaining his hair was an effort and so he’d long ago given up on it. I am not lost, I am not lost… the words were muttered repeatedly within the confines of his mind.

Coming to a stop, he scanned the surrounding area once more, desperately trying to remember where he’d come from or pick out something that looked remotely familiar. Light shined through the gaps In the trees which towered above him and everything around him seemed lush and green, so alive and crowded. Suddenly feeling claustrophobic, he clenched his hands into tight fists and thought to remain a sense of calm. “It’s not the first time this has happened… you’re still within the pack lands, someone will find you.. you’ll be okay” his voice came out as a barely audible whisper as he tried to convince himself that everything would work out.

Blindly, he rummaged through his bag and plucked a small dagger from the leather pouch, never taking his eyes of what surrounded him, for the pale male was only somewhat starting to become paranoid and freaking out ever so slightly. His body tensed as he eyes narrowed, his grip around the feeble weapon tightening. A sudden rustling of foliage had the male turning to the left, his body poised to attack whatever came his way, when a rabbit suddenly rushed out of nowhere. “Holy crud!” he cursed as he jumped back by reflex alone, his foot connected to a fallen branch and before he could somewhat regain his composure, he feel to the floor with a loud ‘thump’, limbs sprawled out in all directions and his pride damaged in the process. “Uurgh” he groaned, but made no attempt to move.

“Okay, I admit it. I’m lost!” he shouted aloud, frustration intertwining with his fear of being lost and alone.

Hope this is alright. ^.^ Tawny needs to meet some new people, get more comfortable in her own skin. WC: 347

Tawny had been wandering around for a long while now, not really caring where she was going or who was out there as well. She hadn't been a part of a pack since she was very young, and didn't really remember what the protocol was about checking out the lands. If it was something she wasn't supposed to be doing, then too bad, because she was far away from the main group by now.

While walking, almost always in lupus form, she had her head close to the ground, sniffling and watching for anything interesting to pick up. A few times she had picked little flowers and even some colorful mushrooms, thought she was cautious with them after her experience in the woods. She got especially excited when the scent of something sharp and foreign hit her nose, rising up through the dirt, and she began to dig eagerly. It didn’t take very long before her nails scratched against a dirty chunk of pottery, the top layer a soft egg color beneath the dust and grass.

The little pouch around her neck had been emptied, all of her possessions hidden under a rock near the place where Nayru had been sleeping. For some reason the little mottled female felt that she could really trust the black and white woman, as both an alpha and a possible friend. Still thinking about her new family, she didn't realize that there was a new scent mixed in with the others, and broke through the underbrush into the small clearing where the pale gray male was freaking out.

Upon seeing him, the little wolf halted and stumbled backwards a few steps, her dark blue eyes zeroed in on the knife in his hand, afraid that he would try to strike out at her. When her bottom bumped into a tree, she crouched a bit and flattened her ears to her head, watching his feet. Soft, pathetic whimpers rose through her throat in place of the words that she could not speak, her mind not working in the moment of hazy nervousness.

Sorry about the delay replying to this >.<

Lying down flat out on his back, he found he suddenly had a fantastic view of the trees tops that stretched out above him, blocking the sun from reaching the floor in places and casting mottled like shadows across the ground. Taking a few deep breaths in he tried to calm himself. He’d be fine; he can hunt and cater for himself and surely at some point he would encounter a pack member whom could guide him back. With that vague plan in mind he lay there breathing and working on confining his panic, which was all good and well until another sound startled him. Lifting his torso up and getting his feet beneath him, he was up and crouched ready to defend and attack from whatever was coming, ears flattened back against his matted cream hair and his lips pulled back to revel rows of sharp teeth; a small part of his mind pleaded that it was another rabbit.

As his mind finally caught up with him, he slowly began to access what he saw before him; a small female in lupus form, whimpering because of him. Realizing that he hadn’t been the only one startled, he fell back onto the ground; his hind hitting the dirt first and legs stretching out before him. Slowly, he placed the knife back into his bag and raised a hand to scratch the back of his head, his expression turning rather sheepish and embarrassed. “Sorry, had myself somewhat wound up and you scared me there”. As he apologised, he allowed himself to take in the others scent and confirm that she was pack; which she thankfully was. Panic now over, he relaxed his taller form and looked towards the other unsure what to do next.

OOC: This kinda sucks. xD Oh, and her speech is really weird, I know. It'll get better eventually. :/
WC: 316

Even though she was still crouched close to the ground, Tawny's head tilted to the side as she listened to him speak, only able to understand a few words as they passed through the air. The sight of his knife being tucked back into the bag did more for her than the apology, and she shook herself before standing up normally and stretching. A deep breath was taken in, making sure he was someone that was supposed to be here. He was pack, a part of her new family, someone that she should be able to greet happily and possibly get to know. After yawning widely, she took a few hesitant steps closer, until she could almost touch his outstretched leg, and sat down.

There was no use in trying to speak to him at the moment, as her nerves were still a little bit frayed and she'd just end up stuttering. When she was calmed down more it would be easier to tell him her name and say that she was sorry for startling him as well. Sighing softly, she sank down until her chest was lying on the ground and her head was flat on her paws, fur brushing up against his foot. Dark blue eyes flickered all over, taking him in as he sat there, looking unsure of the situation. Licking her chops, she scrunched her nose up a few times and decided to figure out why he was out so far all alone. Perhaps the reason was the same as her own, exploring and searching for interesting things to take back home…but he seemed very lost.

After opening and closing her mouth a few times, Tawny coughed and started speaking in her broken, stuttering way. "I...um, I'm Tah...Taw-nee..." A frown pulled at her features and she glanced away, frustrated with her inability to speak like a normal creature. "Y-you f-fam...alee? And lossst…"

WC:341+ - ^^

Silently he watched the female settle herself down a short distance before him; seemingly just as spooked as he was by the humiliating situation. Thankfully, the pale male had long ago disregarded most of his pride and so it took more than a stumble and getting lost to shame him. Hard headed as he was abut his own embarrassment, he felt a pang of guilt for having startled someone else; it was one thing working himself into a state and playing the fool, but a completely different matter if by doing so scared a young female. Relaxing facial muscles first and working on making his body language as least intimidating as he could manage, he found himself silently sat upon the ground staring at her and waiting for the female to calm her nerves and initiate a conversation if she so choose to.

It did not take long before the female spoke, stuttering as she did so. Titling his head the shot her what he hoped was an encouraging smile and patiently waited for her to say her piece. Surprisingly, the younger female had guessed his particular situation rather quickly and he couldn’t help but throw his head back and laugh. “You got me there, was wondering how I was gonna get back to the residential area of these confusing lands. Thank god you came along; my sense of direction is awful” scrunching up his nose, he tested the air. “And I think it may rain soon, air kinda smells that way”

His sense of the weather was something he supposed he’s always had and never paid much attention; any animal could learn to watch and tell the weather if they tried, or at least that was his personal opinion. With the formation of the new pack, he’d settled into the rank of Guan Han and had been polishing off his weather telling skills, along with his guessing skills. To say the least, his predictions were normally guesses than actual skill and knowledge; he just had the knack for guessing right.

OOC: I think these two might become friends. Smile
WC: 323

Tawny listened to everything the male said, trying to understand the words passing from his mouth and into the air. A few of them stuck with her, but mostly she just had a hard time figuring out what he was trying to tell her. She knew that she had been right about him being lost though, by his enthusiastic reply and expression to her words before. Nodding a little bit, she stood up again and stretched, making sure her rabbit skin pouch was secured around her neck. The few items she had collected that could fit were all stuffed in the pouch. The other things were in a pile back the way she had come from. Thanks to the abuse from her mother when she was a pup, the young female still had a hard time making herself stay in optime form for more than a few minutes at a time. She’d found that it was really hard to carry an armful of metal, wood and odd trinkets when one had no arms.

Yipping softly, she hopped forward and nudged the male's leg with her head, tilting her muzzle to the woods. She was a good tracker and had no problem finding her way around the new land, probably because of all her time wandering around in the Canadian wilderness. The 'Souls territory was wild and large, but nothing compared to the places that she was accustomed to. Waiting until he got up and was ready to go, Tawny took off at a slow trot, keeping to a path that she thought would be easier for him to navigate on two legs. Though the foliage was thick and tangled in this area, it was pretty easy for them to get through, seeing as they were basically beasts made for doing such. If they had been the soft skinned, furless humans that inhabited the earth so long ago, it would have been nearly impossible.
