His life had turned upside down when he'd gotten news of his pack down south. How he had been found in Cercatori by wolves that never knew he traveled this far, he had no idea, but when he got the news that his mother was in terrible danger, he couldn't help but rush from the pack, any evidence that he had left of where he might be going was a letter he left Sky for when she returned. He doubted she loved him anymore, even after all he had to do for a pack that never cared for him. Well he wasn't doing it for the pack, it was for his mother.

He had found that she was in danger, and so were some of his niece's and nephews. His brother had been killed and sisters were being held captive with his mother and their children. He had found himself face to face with wolves he didn't know and soon found himself fighting for his mother and the children that were being held captive. He had no idea why nor how it could have happened, he only cared about tearing away those who were guarding the prisoners. His only problem was he was too late... They had been slaughtered as soon as there was word the brute of a man had come for them. He did not know that until he saw their bodies on the floor and the crazy wolf that did it. Shaw himself went into a rage he did not know he possessed, but was only released from it after his child, Demetrius gave him words of wisdom. When Shawchert found what he had done, and the scene before him, he couldn't believe his eyes, but as he tried to get away he found he couldn't move his arm, which he soon found he had dislocated it, and that there was no breaks, though he could not use it for some time before finally making his way home. He had to set his own arm, though he knew how to do it, it was rather painful and hard for the man to do. Once he felt he could take the journey he set off for home, reliving the nightmare of his actions, and wondering why he couldn't save any of his family. Like his son, now his brothers and sisters were dead, his mother, and even nieces and nephews... Where his father was in all this he had no clue, he was sure the man had passed away a while ago.

Now as he stepped on such familiar grounds, he felt some kind of ease go through his body. Though the man had a simple love for the flute, and enjoyed carving, he now felt extra protective around those he loved. He wouldn't know what could happen, and it made him want to be next to Sky all the more, he wanted to be with her and have her children for the rest of his life. He loved her dearly and this was the only reason he came back, that was until he stepped paw into the lands of Cercatori d' Arte. He was home. This was where he had established himself. Yes he could understand that everyone would hate him for running off, and they would hate him for it, but he hoped, come time, they would forget about it in the long run. Feeling the leader, most likely Skye, should be notified of his returned he sounded out a howl of his return, wondering how different the pack had become without him

The female felt broken inside.

She felt that she had failed her son, Nathaniel. She felt that she had failed him and had failed as a mother to him. She held her two remaining pups in her arms as she walked along the territory - she didn't let them go, nor did she put them on the ground or fall asleep like she had done the day that she had lost her beloved son. Bangle, she thought, was still searching for him, but each day she felt more and more hopeless as he didn't return with her son.

She tried to stay strong for the pack, putting up a strong exterior and not letting anyone know anything was wrong; most of the pack hadn't seen all her pups at once, so they assumed nothing was wrong. She couldn't let them know that one of her pups had run away and gotten lost... taken by another man... they would think it was something like Argul all over again, and instead of standing beside her, they would panic and scatter around like ants like Mars, Krystalle, and Ouija had done.

Her thoughts were interrupted, however, as she heard a sound and froze. That sound was a howl, but not just any howl... It seemed eerily familiar. It brought back sudden, flashing memories - creating the pack that she was the leader of now, calling together all of the pack to celebrate, telling them of the murderer Argul, bringing them together one last time... that howl was something special. That howl.. was Shawchert's howl?!

The female raced as fast as she dared with her pups in tow and eventually found herself face to face with the former leader. She could do nothing but stare.. her eyes were no doubt bloodshot and baggy, having shadows under them. Her face seemed haunted now that her facade was being lowered. Her pups looked at Shawchert curiously, and their mother asked raspingly -

"Shaw?"

Shawchert didn't expect to see what he did see, though he wasn't expecting Skye to be the same woman she had been before her pregnancy, he definitely didn't expect her to look absolutely drained, as though she took on so much weight. He felt bad and wanted to help her, but how? He was no leader anymore, and he never was.

Yes.... but are you alright Skye? You look tired to the bone.

He didn't want this to be about him. He didn't want her to ask him in depth of what happened to him and why he left. He wanted to be a part of the pack he had created. He wanted to be its protector from now on. It seemed he would have to start as to why Skye was in the state she was in. He would then have to find his mate, and try his best to reconcile with her. That was for later though. He looked at the pups that looked at him with curiosity and smiled at them. He wondered how old his own pups would be and where they were now, but that would come later, at least he hoped it would. His mind went to thinking Bangle had left her to deal with the two pups, or that something left him unable to do so, or even a sickly pup, which made him feel guilty.

The man seemed surprised, and Skye wasn't sure why until she remembered herself; she tried to put on a smile and put on the facade again, but it didn't work - she couldn't pretend in front of her oldest and best friend, not now after he returned. She spoke -

"It's so wonderful to see you again..."

She was about to ask where he had been, but instead shifted so that both of her pups were being supported by one of her arms and gave Shawchert a long hug. She pulled away and then looked up at him, questions burning in her mind, but for some reason she wasn't able to voice them. She didn't have to; Shawchert asked her a question, if she was alright.

In a way... she was alright in that she wasn't hurt physically. It was true that the leader had grown much stronger, physically, than he had last seen her; she had taken up duties like fixing buildings and moving large branches that had fallen in the territory to keep it clean and clear, and she had grown much stronger and leaner for it. She was much tougher, and it showed; she wasn't the little girl that had joined Cercatori so long ago. But for now, her spirit was shattered.

She glanced at the white puppy in her hands. "This is Erzulie," she said. Looking over to the other pup, the creamy-white one with the brown and red markings on his face, she said; "And this one is Robert Frost." She then looked at the ground, unable to help it when a single tear rolled down her face.

"And Nathaniel... wandered off. We... couldn't find him." She looked up at Shawchert, pain showing on her face. "Bangle's out looking for him.. he's been looking for weeks."

Her hug alone made him glad he came back all the more, but her lack of words when he asked if she was alright disturbed him. Then she seemed to ignore his question introducing her pups, but it became apparent that was why she was disturbed, unkempt and unhappy. He frowned, a worried frown. Bangle was going after him, but it seemed they were not to be found. Shaw's heart dropped and he felt for her he moved closer and put his arm around her shoulder and squeezed.

"I'm sorry to here that, it's very hard to lose children. You still have two beautiful pups though and if you need help I can help you."

He said. He too had seemed to have grown up since his disappearance. The sight of his family had evidently changed him, and the sword that his mother had given him was now strapped to his side at all times. he left nowhere without it now. He was still as tall as he had been but in a sense that he would neither be taking any unnecessary drama from anyone that he comes along. Not to mention the few extra scars that littered his body. He had been a wreck himself for only a week. Demetrius had gotten him out of his trance and soon Shaw was on his way back home. Now he was glad for the ghost of his son, he couldn't have returned at a better time, though he wished he never left at all, but he couldn't blame himself, how was he suppose to protect someone who wandered off from their own parents? In any case the man was here now and would not allow for anything horrible to happen within the pack he made.

Skye nodded half-heartedly as Shaw said that she still had two very beautiful pups; he was right, her pups were beautiful, she thought as she looked at them both. One, Erzulie, was a pale creamy-white, lighter than Skye herself, with soft yellowish splotches around her that faded beautifully into her fur. She had Banlge's trademark laugh, but more feminine, although just as loud and contagious. Her other child, Robert, took on the cream coat of his mother, but had Bangle's brown mask on his face and dark red ears, as well as brown that went down his back and around his cheeks. His tail and toes were also brown. He, who was normally the more quiet of the two, looked at Shawchert curiously and then spoke;

"You joinee?"

Skye laughed. "I've been taking my pups with me to accept joiners," she explained to the tall man. "Shawchert is a very old friend of mine. He's returned to Cercatori d'Arte..." She trailed off and looked at the man. "Have you? Where did you go...? If you don't want to share, you don't have to, Shaw. I'm just glad you're back at Souls."

She studied him more closely; he had seemed to have grown more... not grown in height, which was the same, although he stood much straighter and prouder than he had been before he had left Cercatori d'Arte. He donned more scars that he had before, which worried Skye a bit, although it was clear that he was alright. She also just noticed a new weapon that he had - a sword - that hung by his side in a sheath. Taking it all in, she realized that he looked very heroic - like a vigilante.

Shawchert couldn't help but chuckle at the young pup as he asked if he was going to join, but was quiet as his mother explained Shawchert was an old friend and that he was already a member. Shawchert smiled and nodded at her then turned his attention to the young male pup that reminded him of Bangle.

"Yes Mr. Robert Frost. I would like to join."

He said in a joking tone, he would not mention he was the former leader, nor would he ask for that possition back, for now he would be a loyal member.... for the rest of his life. She asked him where he ahd gone and he turned his head. He didn't want to tell her... maybe Sky, as he had mentioned in his letter, he thought she would tell Skye by now but it seemed she didn't.

"I'm here to stay. I will protect us from now on that's all that matters.

He stated in a finality. He did not wish to speak of it, he wanted to get back to building things and making sure nothing went wrong in the pack. He would do all in his power to hunt anyone who hurt anyone in this pack.
