Words-400 Anyone is welcome to post. Trying to get to know more of the pack =)

Throughout the whole day Jaden had been digging. Home was proving to be hard work. Ever since the move from Dahlia to Ichika things had been slow. Maybe it was just for the thick coated tundra wolf that things seemed slow. Everyone else was bustling with energy and exited about being in new territory. It wasn’t that Jaden himself wasn’t excited he just felt there was so much to do. He’d never had to join a pack before Ichika and the responsibility was monstrous. Every part of the land had to be explored, every pack member met, and a home had to be built from nothing.

What Jaden had been working on was the foundation of home, the more physical part. A small den now lay hidden under the gnarled roots of a fallen oak. It was small and inconspicuous against the forest’s dark backdrop. Looking at it again, Jaden snorted and rolled his eyes. If it were any smaller it would be a snake hole. But that was okay. Jaden didn’t have anybody to live with or even any real friends yet. Where he slept wasn’t really all that important. If he ever decided to settle down with someone or become more social and invite his pack members into his home, he’d have to find a new place. Those were thoughts for a different time though.

Jaden was content with his hole in the ground. After spending two days digging out the little thing he wasn’t ready to call it inadequate. No, he was just ready to relax. The sun was too far down for anything else to be done today and he was much too drained to hunt. With a sigh the Shishen tossed his satchel and other belongings into his den and wandered north toward the East river. The dirt in his fur was irritating. He had to clean himself before resigning for the night.

It didn’t take long to reach the East river from Jaden’s den. It was the prime reason he decided to settle there. It would be useful to clean and rehydrate the exhausted luprci. Upon meeting the water, he shifted from secui to optime and knelt at its dark edge. He splashed it on his face and body and began to take the smears of dirt out of his dark black and crimson coat.

Jaden does. "Jaden speaks." Jaden thinks.

The smell of fresh dirt rolled into the male’s nose, it was not alarming to him. But it was something that the pale male wanted to know more about, maybe Jefferson was back, maybe it was a member from the Valley that didn’t make the trip. The thoughts ran though his head; there was many of the, what if’s questions running though his one track mind. The male rolled his ears (well ear and half?) upon his ear upon his head. The male lowered his head down to find the scent of where would help lead him to the being that had been digging in the dirt, maybe then Noah would be able to do some star looking, and charting. It wasn’t and would not be his normal spot, but it would be neat to see the lovely balls of burning gas from a different view sight, but for his normal spot he would have to visit tonight.

The three legs of the male moved in an offbeat pattern as it carried the tripod though the lands, he was getting better and better at moving around upon only three legs, it had only been a few month since the large beam came down and took his leg off while trying to save Tala from the cave in. Coming to what looked like a wolf had been digging out a den; the pale hued male lowered his nose to the ground, picking up on the scent of the being in question. The silver beast saw him standing near the water pulling the dirt out of his coat, Noah stood back watching smiling as his tail softly wagged side to side. The male closed his pale blue eye as he watched the male grooming him-self. He was glad that at least the male wanted to strive for cleanliness, after all the pack didn’t need to start stinking up already.

Cool air rushed through Jaden’s fur as he splashed some water on his face. Smoothing the fur on his face with one hand and brushing some water from his ear, the Shishen took a refreshing breath. It felt many times better to be clean even if he was exhausted.

A subtle sound brushed through the air and Jaden’s ears perked. It only took him a few seconds to locate the sound’s origin. He stood slowly and turned, expecting to find a fellow pack member but still a little alarmed. His deep blue eyes met those of two shades of blue lighter and darker. “Excuse me,” Jaden said, shaking himself dry and taking a few steps toward his Ichika brethren. “Namaste,” he then put his hand together in a sort of prayer pose and bowed to the other.

Upon getting a better look at his new acquaintance, Jaden could see that he was quite scarred. Whether this was from battle or other causes he wasn’t sure. Jaden himself had more than a few scars now. Most from blades or pure stupidity, he felt they were a sign of experience nevertheless. The different healed injuries that littered this other male’s body gained him some easy respect. The Shishen had the gumption to hold neutral body language despite the respect and waited respectfully for an answer.

With the traditional pack greeting the darkened male stood back up, Noah did not want to great the black male with words, it was it not that he did not have the respect for the greeting that the leaders had set forth for them, it was not that at all, it really was very much more simple then that. Noah hated to talk, well verbally anyways. He was not a mean or hateful he just rather not subjects others to his stuttering issues. The silver male smiled thankfully at the blacked male as he brought his head down to his leg and then brought it back up. The silver beast gave a smooth wage of his silver tail, greeting the black pack member in his own way. ”Noah.” He spoke his name without a stutter or a slur, it was just as smooth and clear as it would have been two years ago. Before Sera, before Tala, before Yuki, before every one, but there was one thing that was in his life. There had been on one common issue in his life the whole time, and that was Lucifer. Noah had felt like once he got old enough to see his father in a different light, that it was his job to try to right his wrongs. Sadly Lucifer had beaten him with in every inch of his life, not once but twice.

The male looked up to stars that shimmered over top of the two of them. The night was just born upon the two of them, but the silver male was already out and looking at the stars. The male moved his head up to the sky with a nod, then back down to the back male to see if he had gotten what he was trying to say. ”Nice?!”

Jaden watched Noah for a reply and it wasn’t long before he got one he didn’t expect. The silver wolf replied only with a bow and his name. The name was expected, but as with most conversations, so was a bit more. The Shishen watched Noah for a few more seconds even after he spoke his name, waiting for something that never came. “Jaden,” He finally said with a questioning glance.

The stars were something that Jaden never really paid a whole lot of attention to. He knew they were beautiful and took notice of them once again as Noah nodded to them and asked a single word question but didn’t love them the same way his silvery companion did. The shining points were just that to him: white light. He had no understanding that they actually existed as burning balls of gas millions and millions of miles away or that they created planets like Earth. It was a lot to comprehend. Even if someone tried to explain it to the man, he would most likely not understand or tell them they were crazy.

But he could appreciate the beauty just as well as anyone else. “They are very nice,” he said with his blue eyes still glued to the heavens. Slowly moving his gaze from the sky back down to Noah, he then asked, “Do you go out just to watch the stars?” The other seemed very enthusiastic about how nice the night sky could be.

The male slimed softly as he gave another dip of his head as the male offered up a name to him. The silver male new of the traditions that came with greeting fellow pack members, but that wasn’t him. It was not meant as disrespect or anything of those sorts. He just was very much laid back and did not act all formal in front of other pack members, or other beings he figured he could trust. After all were they not all family in one way or the other in these lands? Noah was glad that the male was not mean and with held his name, it just wouldn’t be fair, and surely Noah did not want to be the one to seem over friendly. Not that being overly friendly was a bad thing; he just did not want to make him-self look like a fool

As the black and red male looked up the stars that Noah had made a head motion toward earlier. Noah rolled his shoulder; he came out her part because it was his job in the pack, and then another part because he did truly love to lay out here at night, and just gather and sort out his thoughts and feelings. ”Sort of.” The silver male spoke, as he tried to figure out which way he could tell the male without having to use a bunch of words. The male looked down to the ground blinking a few times, as he thought over of how to say it. ”You get ta….uh…ta…to pick your juh..uh…juhb…job, this is muh…meh…muh…mine.” The silver male looked up at the stars taking in all the wonders that they could offer to him. The male shook his head, looking earnestly to the black and red male.”Sorry..” The Sawtooth male could not help it.
