Things were rather different now, whether that was a good thing or bad he had yet to truly make his mind up. Changes; from where he lived, to whom he passed on a day to day basis surrounded him. It was all overwhelming and frightening, but at the same time he knew that it was a simple matter of allowing time to pass so that he could adjust. The move itself had gone smoothly for him, for having owned few possessions he had had little to carry along the distance. Now that he and his belongings were within the new lands, there was the seemingly less complicated matter of locating a new dwelling that needed to be addressed. Judging from the whispers of over heard conversations, it seemed as if there were primarily two locations in which canines had been settling down; Westville and Trenton.

Not what one would call a ‘social butterfly’ he had opted to explore the seemingly smaller and quieter of the two. The new designated Guan Han didn’t want some grand mansion; just a small place he could return to when he wasn’t wandering the lands around him. Something he could adapt to be his own and feel at home within, maybe something which provided clear views and a garden; heck, he was in charge of watching the weather now so he might as well have a view… the garden was more or less a whim of his. After being impressed by the vineyard back in the old Dahlia de Mai, he wanted to try his hand at gardening.

Strolling through what he believed to be the north-east part of the area, the number of houses seemed to decrease while a small lake came into sight. Approaching the edge of the water, he cast his eyes across its surface. Simply taking in the sights that surrounded him.

That Arye be happy in her new home was Pripyat's topmost priority. The woman was amazingly adaptable, taking to her new home and the new sets of faces almost instantly. The slate colored boy was a bit more apprehensive, but willing enough and he made the jump head first alongside Arye. And yet when they arrived in the new lands the girl didn't slow down. Already she knew more faces and names than he, and already she was beginning to understand her duties and fully integrate herself. Pripyat too was finding his niche, but it was a slower process. When he realized that Arye was happy enough without his efforts he turned toward making himself merry in Ichika no Ho-en. It seemed easy enough.

Yet as Arye was off on her own Pripyat found himself pacing alone, trying to figure out what would make himself happy just then. It seemed he had no desires of his own and try as he might, his thoughts kept turning to Arye. What was she doing now? What would she have to tell him tonight when they met up again? They spent every night together and yet still they had no home, and that thought hung over him too. Although he loved to sleep out under the stars next to her side, the weather wouldn't stay fine forever and they would have to sooner or later move inside. It was when this realization struck him that he found motivation and muse for the day.

Combing over Westville and Trenton took the better part of the morning and still he was unsatisfied with the houses he saw. Surely he had not seen them all but they all seemed too worn down, or too large, or even sometimes too small. It was only he and Arye, so why any house seemed too small seemed strange, but Pripyat looked at many and he felt that they simply were not suitable. He was still busy with his search when he came across a man at the edge of a lake.
It would have been just as easy to turn away and continue on, but he was growing frustrated with not finding anything he liked. Besides, again he thought of Arye and it was her face in his mind's eyes that compelled him forward.

The younger boy approached with sure steps, once he decided to speak to the man there was no hesitancy in his actions. When he came closer he cleared his throat, not knowing just what he would say before it was said but letting the words come anyway. "Hey there. What are you doing?"
