WC:247+ - Starter fail... badly ¬.¬

The Marbas paced the newly scented area, indicating the boundary line of a unknown packs territory. Back and forth, his route repetitive, the motion almost hypnotizing. It would seem that he’d been dragged into a game of hide and seek. He was ‘it’ and he was now seeking an entire pack or atleast, one particular female from the disappearing pack. Placing the pieces together, he could only assume that the new pack, of which was disgustingly close to Anathema, was actually just phoenix valley relocated. Still, even if it was her pack it still annoyed him; forever over protective of his home it seemed. Pulling back his lips to reveal white teeth he snarled into the dark nothing before him, remaining outside of the borders rather than barging in; something he’s recently learned from experience.

Continuing to pace, he found his sides beginning to throb and his breath becoming harder and more often. Knowing that he was in no state to be pushing his luck, he moved further back from the borders and found a tree to lean against, blue eyes remaining fixed upon the dark territory before him. Under the moonlit night he was well hidden, his various grey coloured coat provided him with a strong camouflage. But at the moment he didn’t want to remain unnoticed and so he threw back his head and howled; his sides screamed with pain and he was gasping for breath afterwards.

“Better have gotten someone’s attention” he wheezed out.

It was the dead of night but the female was awake like she usually was, the woman never slept the night through it was just something she had never done even from being young. Her mismatched gaze reflected what little moonlight there was out into her surroundings, a headlamp blaze of the fierce blue and gentle amber that made her up. A warrior she was in her own right but also like a mother, caring and kind. So when a familiar howl came from outside the borders naturally the woman answered the call for attention. Her light to dark gradient-ed legs bringing her closer and closer to the borders in a relatively quick time.

She shook her head, the brown and white mane rippling out behind her in a cascade of unseeable color. Around her thighs were her knife sheaths, strapped in place with leather made from reindeer hide. Along with her knifes and her necklaces they were the only things she had with her that were a reminder of her birth pack. She gave the borders little note as she passed them, they were not her borders even if she belonged to the pack they contained, in name only. The sound of wheezing met her ears and she was slightly concerned for the grey male hiding in the dark before her. She lowered herself down next to him with a weary sigh and tried to find his face in the darkness,

"How are ya then laddie?"

“’Bout time ya showed up” he choose harsh words to welcome her, concentrating on breathing slowly and easing the ache in his side. As he breaths gradually became more and more steady, he allowed himself to ease into a more comfortable position, his head raised to look at the female beside him. Dark as it was, he could just about make out her and his forms, small highlights of reflected moonlight framing their forms. At her question, the compulsive urge to laugh hit him and he had to clamp his mouth shut and concentrate on not straining his sides anymore than he already had. “Oh, the usual. Near death experience recently. Good news is, the other guy didn’t touch my pretty face” he smirked at her, taking up a playful tone.

Shifting a little, he raised an arm and whistled, summing the white bird down from the skies. After having decide to approach the unknown packs borders, he’d sent the bird into the air for the albino crow stood out like a sore thumb at the best of times and he had not wished to draw unnecessary attention upon himself. “Pheonix Valley has some nerve I must say. No offence, but you guys are seriously close to Anathema” he frowned slightly, wondering if she’d take offence from his words, then decided he really didn’t care. “Stupid, pointless move if you ask me. It’s pretty much like asking for trouble.” He complained some more.

Sliding down the tree, his back rubbing along it’s bark as he lowered himself, he reached the ground with a soft thump and yawned. “Oh! And.. what did he call it? Oh yeah, I’m apparently married it would seem” he added nonchalantly to the end.

She brushed off his harsh words with a flick of her multicolored head and a roll of her two toned eyes, she was used to his eccentrics. She nodded along serenely as he prattled on about his 'near death experience' she knew he was not lying because she could smell the blood and sense his injured state from his scent but knowing Alaki he had probably done something to deserve the beating, more than likely he insulted someone stronger then himself or invaded someones land. She snorted and laughed as he mentioned his face surviving injury,

"Oh that's good, we wouldn't want your pretty boy face to be messed up now would we." She sniggered to herself at her comment and looked up as he whistled for something. Her eyes could just make out the white outline of some kind of bird flying overhead. Her ears pinned back when he mentioned the pack's closeness to Anathema and she snarled, her anger with the entire situation coming back to her, violence and rage bubbled underneath her voice,

"Phoenix Valley no longer exists, our leader handed the pack over and the new leader decided the merge with Dahlia de Mai and relocate to all the fucking way up here to the arse end of nowhere. We were perfectly fucking happy where the hell we were." She grabbed onto a pebble in front of her and launched it into the night, hearing it thump against a tree and crash to the floor. She barely even registered what he had said as she stewed on her anger, married? She wondered who the hell would be mental enough to want to spend their life with Alaki. She nudged him with a foot in a half arsed way,

"That's for not inviting me you prick." She grumbled bad naturedly.
