She awoke before sunrise, not even a single bird was out yet. The wolf/husky had a task she wanted to accomplish, and with much exploration of the new territory accomplished she was wanting to go to Serendipity Shore and watch the sunrise and perhaps do some meditation. She wasn't entirely new to meditation, but she rarely ever did it, but something had her wanting to take the day to meditate and enjoy the beach and waters that came in slow waves. Oh, how the thought excited her.

Her legs carried her swiftly in the direction of Serendipity without slowing down. It wasn't long before her eyes caught the shoreline and soon her feet felt the coldness of the beach sand that would soon enough be heated by the brazen sun. With a warm smile her eyes sought the east where a dim light began to show. A light sigh came from her as she went to seat herself quietly upon a grassy patch. This was where she'd plant herself, back straight, head tall. Her eyes half closed as she inhaled deep and slowly through her nostrils taking in the fresh air. Glorious, she thought to herself as the sound of birds, wind, and water hit her ears.

Hope you don’t mind me posting…

Jaden was sleeping not far away. The beach was one of his pleasures, one that reminded him of the days when his Alaskan home had been perfect. What seemed like a life time ago now still hurt unbearably to think about but would never change his love for the sea. Late the night before, Jaden had found his way to Serendipity Shore from his den to the south-west. He sat on the beach and watched the ocean, listened to its natural ambiance, and fell into a restful sleep. It wasn’t an accident either. The Shishen had meant to sleep there because today he would create a training plan. After today he would wake every morning and follow that plan until he was too old or weak to do so. It was expected from him. Being a warrior of Ichika came with a price the black and crimson man was eagerly willing to pay.

His being awoken wasn’t sharp or sudden, but rather soothing and peasant. Quiet foot falls in the soft sand slowly brought him out of his sleep as they came closer and closer. First his ears twitched, then he shifted his lupus paws in the grass before finally, the foot steps stopped and the man opened his eyes. Pulling himself up onto his belly, he looked for the source of the pleasant sound. A pretty wolfess sat calmly by the shore not twenty feet away. She smelled of Ichika but he had no doubt she was part of the pack. Just a stranger he hadn’t met yet. One of many he hoped to meet eventually. So, still droopy eyed and yawning, Jaden pulled himself out of the grass and stretched before lumbering over to her. He purposely made sure to make noise and avoid the silence he often walked with in order to alert her if she hadn’t already seen him. Then he plopped down next to her and tried to clear his sleepy mind and put together a coherent sentence. “Pleasant morning isn’t it?” He managed to sigh after yawning again and putting his head on his paws.

Jaden does. "Jaden speaks." Jaden thinks.

She had managed to put herself in a sedated state of mind where nothing but the sweet sounds of the ocean and wind filled her ears. With this said, she was in a zone by the time the brute began to make his way to her. Still she showed recognition of his motion by a simple ear moving back in his direction. Her nose twitched in an attempt to gather his scent as he sat down next to her, eyes didn't motion toward him, not yet. He was part of Ichika No Ho-en she gathered and it was someone she hadn't met or noticed before. Her eyes opened when he spoke and she put herself in a relaxed position. Adonia was slightly annoyed, but she showed no sign of such feelings as she turned to look at the stranger with a small smile, "Yes, it is quite a nice morning..."

Her eyes took in the unique look of the male, and his handsome eyes, which she turned away quickly. She was embarrassed by her own thought on finding the other attractive since she was a taken female. Surely thoughts wouldn't get her in trouble, after all she wasn't acting upon them. The Ma-tzu let out a soft sigh as she looked down to the sandy shore, "My name is Adonia Demos, and you are?" Her head tilted in his direction and a soft smile formed in a friendly gesture attempting to be cool and calm. It wasn't easy for Adonia as she usually was shy and preferred to be away from new things, but today she would try and be less shy and make a new friend other than Ookami...who was more than a friend, he was her mate...

The man’s mind was almost running at full capacity when he heard his new acquaintance respond. She agreed that the morning was pleasant calmly. Jaden’s eyes were lulling on the beach but he noticed her turn and look at him before quickly turning away again. Unsure of why, he then sat up a little and his eyes wandered onto her and he looked for a reason.

Adonia was quite pretty. He noticed this again as he admired the subtle shades of her fir and the uncommon softness he felt in her eyes. The female was a bread of wolf Jaden had never seen before and that interested him slightly. But, what he realized now that he was more awake was the woman’s posture. He was no stranger to meditation having done it once or twice himself, but knew instantly that he may have destroyed any amount of serenity Adonia may have had. When she said her name and asked for his, the Alaskan answered respectfully. “Jaden Ohanzee,” Taking his eyes off her and letting them fall again on the beach, he added, “I’m sorry if I’m intruding on your view of the sunrise. Such things are sometimes better to watch in silence.” He put his head back down on his paws and closed his eyes. “In fact,” he breathed, “don’t mind me. Enjoy the sunrise and we can just wait to speak.” Jaden was being honest and his voice held not a trace of anything but kindness. He was tired anyway and if she didn’t want to talk right then that gave him more time to sleep.

Jaden does. "Jaden speaks." Jaden thinks.

The stranger was quite kind as well, she noted. A light smile came to her muzzle and her eyes glanced over before speaking, "Nice to meet you Jaden..and you are fine, I'm not very good at meditation anyway to be honest...staying still isn't too easy for me, but I'm hoping to try it today.." With that she began to allow her eyes to refocus on the waves ahead of her. The shades of color that reflected from the sun were visually stunning to her and she wondered if he too enjoyed such things. He did catch her curiosity a bit, but again she would refrain from showing her curiosity.

She drew in a slow methodical manner as she closed her eyes for a split second enjoying the relaxation that came with the slow breath of air. Her eyes again opened when she released the breath from her mouth. A light smile fell onto her and she continued to enjoy the view of the waters and the smell of moisture in the air. The presence of another didn't bother her, in fact she sort of liked knowing there was someone near, even if she didn't know him well. He was a pack member and that was all she needed to know to allow herself to give some sort of trust his way.

Continuing her breathing exercise she found herself in the most tranquil state she'd been in a very long time. It was as if nothing around her bothered her in the slightest, not even the stranger she just met. A shocker in all reality since Adonia was a very shy, but meditation calmed the restless soul of the Ma-tzu even if it only lasted for so long and it wasn't long before her mind wondered to what the strange brute was doing. With eyes half closed her orbs slowly moved to glance at him remaining calm now that the sunrise was gone and the heat of the sun began to beat upon the dark shades that ran through her pelt. Luckily, the breeze from the waters kept the sun from becoming unbearable for the time being.

As Adonia found her peace Jaden began to find some of his own as well. His breathing was slow and he was almost asleep, waiting for the wolfess to initiate more of a conversation and show that she was ready to speak. The silence that the two shared didn’t bother him at all though and he would have fallen asleep. What kept him from falling into a nice, restful sleep was the sun. Its rays fell on his thick pelt and began to warm the dark fur immensely. At first it was pleasant but the tundra wolf quickly began to overheat as he warmth built up.

If wolves could sweat, Jaden would have started to. The dark colored wolf sighed in acknowledgement of his discomfort and one of his eyes peaked open to see if Adonia was ready to move from this position. Seeing that she was in the same meditative posture she had been before, he decided he would move either. He didn’t want to move because he still wanted to talk to Adonia when she was ready. He also didn’t want to sit up because he was much bigger than the petite female. He knew talking up to wolves larger than oneself could be intimidating. So, he rolled over and exposed his dark crimson dyed belly to the sun and was unable to relax much again once he had.

Jaden’s now upside down view of the ocean made him analyze it more closely and he sighed again, “I really love the ocean.” He spoke now forgetting about his promised silence and admired it for a bit longer before craning his neck to look up at Adonia. Unsure of how to read the relaxed look he noticed when he met her attractive blues eyes, the Alaskan smiled and chuckled lightly, “Has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes?” The Shishen let his head fall back to the grass. “They are a very nice shade of blue.” he complemented warmly.

She began to feel an odd sensation of tranquility spread over her the longer she meditated. The soothing sound of water cascading over the sand began to meld into the sound of birds flapping their wings and calling to one another. The minutes seemed to fly by and the sun basking upon her coat the only thing that seemed to stop her from reaching nirvana. Either way, it was the most peaceful feeling she had ever felt in her life. A large smile formed on her muzzle when she heard the first set of words from Jaden and she opened her eyes fully to glance at him in silent agreement. Her smile soon changed to a grin as her head bowed and turned away lightly in a shy manner. "..not that I can recall...thank you.." Her voice was soft a almost a whisper really. It was hard for her to take compliments as she didn't get them often in her life. Usually because she avoided them, but they were still nice to receive. Her thoughts were none existent for a moment before she thought of her mate who she was beginning to miss. Her mind tried to remember the last compliment she had received from him and wondered if he had ever said anything about her eyes.

It was useless, she couldn't recall a single compliment but she knew he'd given her at least one, maybe two of them. Still, her mind willed itself back to the semi-stranger next to her. "..are you a fighter of some sort? You have quite a few scars.." It was sort of exciting to her to meet a fighter as she always thought of them as strong brutes who were possessive and feisty. She didn't know why she liked it but really it was harmless, not like she'd ever act on such likings. Adonia was not fiercely loyal, but she was a loyal female though she thought about harmless flirting and the mere thought made her heart pick up a little. Her eyes parted from the scars she looked at to make eye contact for a second taking in again how blue his eyes were. It wasn't often one saw those shades of blue. Her eyes soon parted fully from the male as the sound of fighting birds caught her attention. Light laughter came from her as she saw two seagulls going at it, it was hard to tell why at first until she saw a claw wavering between the two. A third came to join in the battle over the crab and Adonia was quite amused by it.

The grass at the beach’s head was surprisingly comfortable. Having fallen asleep here last night the realization wasn’t a surprise for Jaden but he noticed again when he laid the top of his head on the soft ground. The woman’s response to the complement he’d given was shy, cute in a way because of how lightly she’d voiced it. Jaden smiled showing off his a sharp grin, “Don’t mention it.” He breathed.

The Sea was beautiful. From his new vantage point, it was also more interesting then usual, but the man’s attention wasn’t there. Though he tried to appear interested in the natural scenery, he found that his attention was almost completely on the female seated next to him. Adonia looked to be actually admiring the sea and he took this chance to analyze the intriguing hues of her dark coat without being obvious about it. She was pretty and he was mildly interested just as any man would be. His interests too were innocent though. Because of the loss of his loved one any serious thoughts of that sort would do more damage then good. No, he simply wanted to talk, maybe flirt a little and appreciate her beauty. The amount of attention Adonia received from the man made it easy for him to realize when she turned her gaze from the sea and set it onto his exposed crimson belly. He had to suppress the erg to puff out his chest a bit and waited for her to speak first this time. Her comment reassured Jaden that she had given him a good look over, but also caught him a bit off guard, “Mm, I used to be a… fighter of sorts.” He hesitated a little just as he did whenever his past came up in conversation, “but hopefully no more. Ichika is peaceful enough to avoid making enemies.” Adonia’s eyes ensnared his as he finished speaking, “but if we do, I’ll be here to protect her.”

When the women’s eyes left Jaden’s he let his gaze hesitate on her slim muzzle for a moment longer before following it to where the gulls battled. The man grinned and watched for a short time, but was more interested in Adonia. “What about you?” He asked rolling back onto a laying position and gazing at her once again. “Are you dangerous too?” he chuckled knowing full well that, with her body type, the feme was more than likely not a fighter. It was more of a playful remark then an accusation like she had given. “I wouldn’t want to say something stupid and have my tail handed to me by a pretty Lady...”

It's okay ^.^

She was oblivious to the male's gaze on her as she had watched the waters and the birds though she was quite curious of him. It was exciting to meet a battle scarred male and to know he was capable of fighting successfully. His question about her made her ears go back and a light burst of laughter come out of her, his statement about her handing a butt kick his way made her give a big grin. "No, I'm not a fighter, though I have kicked my brother's butt a few times but that was at least a year or so ago..." She looked down to her feet for a moment then back over to him meeting his gaze, "...my brother was quite good at karate he did teach me a few things but, again, I'm not a fighter." more like a lover she wanted to say but feared he'd take it the wrong way and the last thing she wanted was to worry about something happening that would cause Ookami to become upset despite her already being a little upset with her mate's lack of attention.

Her small triangle ears pointed alert as she lifted her head letting her hands rest onto her feet, "My role here is just to care for the ranch animals and that's how I like it. I personally don't like anytime of confrontation...I avoid it as best I can.." She was sure she spoke too much but couldn't help but throw that last bit in there. "...what is your role here in Ichika?" Her head gave a light tilt to the right as a small smile came to her. She gave up on the meditation, Jaden stole her attention but she didn't mind, her task was forgotten. In truth it was nice to talk with someone and not feel any pressure or nervousness. He seemed laid back and perhaps she could make a friend, heaven knew she needed one of those.

Jaden watched and smiled when Adonia answered his question. “Karate?” he mused. The Shishen hadn’t herd of Karate before now. In fact, he hadn’t heard of any style of fighting besides his own, which he had never been given a name for. The realization of this was slightly odd. There were different styles of fighting and Jaden knew that, but that he knew none but his own seemed slightly like a disadvantage. Putting these thoughts aside, he decided not to ask into it. “I see…”

Dark blue eyes wandered about the beach slowly away from Adonia. It would not be polite to stare and the slightly nervous feeling Jaden suddenly found sputtering under his rib cage seemed to tell him he was looking at her too intently, watching her too closely and the last thing he wanted was to make the hybrid uncomfortable.

Adonia remarked of a brother she had and of his knowledge of Karate which peaked Jaden’s interest slightly more. He had no one to spare with in Ichika as of yet and the possibility of going against karate might also prove to be a good learning experience. But before the brute could voice his thoughts, the feme told him of her position in Ichika and asked of his. Jaden didn’t mind though. The man was guilty of talking too much more often than not and thought nothing of if as he put together an answer. “I guess you could say I’m the local archer though I can do much more. ‘Shishen’ is what Nayru calls it. But I also lead pack hunts.” He smiled and paused. He was supposed to lead pack hunts. None had been lead yet and he felt slightly like he might be slacking his duties. The truth was that he didn’t feel comfortable calling pack members he hadn’t met to lead them into anything. “I was thinking of holding one soon. Would you be interested in hunting with a few other Ichikans?”

She hadn't thought that Karate wasn't very well known, so to hear the slight questioning tone made her realize that Karate probably wasn't all that well known. Before she could think of a way to explain it he seemed to not question it further. Their conversation moved on, and that was fine with her as she really wasn't good at explaining things, or so that was how she felt.

Jaden seemed to have quite an interesting role. Archer. Fascinating. She had always wanted to learn the cross and bow but never actually tried it. She didn't know there was even a rank for it in the pack, but that didn't surprise Adonia. There was a lot she didn't really know, but that was because she kept to herself. She did her job and that was that. Her head turned to look at Jaden. Ears went back a little hearing his question. "...um...sure, why not?" He tone was unsure for a moment then lightened up ending with a slight giggle and smile. "Sounds like it will be fun." Her tail couldn't help but give a light wag as she turned away to look at the water. "It's been a long time since I've hunted with anyone..." As she recalled the last time was with her Father. He was quite a hunter in her mind, however, that was childish memories she recalled.Still, no one could match how she felt about her father, he was one of nobility, but it had all crashed when he met his new mate. She pushed Adonia away, and now that was how she found Novia Scotia. A new home, and a new life. Still her past could never be forgotten. She wished she could see her family again, but she knew none of them had changed and she couldn't take the pain they had given her.

She had to pull her mind out of the dark thoughts for a second and come back to reality. What was going on now and not what had gone on. Her blue hued eyes found themselves once more glancing over to him. "Could I ask you a bold question?"

It’s short Sad

Jaden was overjoyed to hear of Adonia’s interest, even if it was slight, in hunting with others from their pack. The Shishen’s had spent most of his time eyeing different herds and watching their movements. He wanted to know how they migrated and what their favorite clearings were. Winter would be her eventually and when it finally showed its cold face, the man needed to start making food cashes. Hunting for himself was one thing, but hunting for the entire pack should the winter be bad would take time and planning. Even before that, planning a group hunt seemed difficult.

The brute’s eyes were still on the waves when she asked of asking. A funny thing to do it seemed. Jaden glanced at her and tried to read her features, tried to see why someone would have to ask permission to ask a question. Bold was the key word in her inquiry and that implied that he might take offence of or find the question inappropriate in some way. Tilting his head in a questioning look, he watched her blue eyes and smiled a little, “A bold question is better than a boring one I suppose. What’s on your mind?”
