M-Strolling through the park

(Pre-dated to july 28th)

She was wearing something a so called friend had made her, well they weren't exactly best friends, her best friend had abandoned her some days ago. The leather clung to her form rather pleasantly, supporting her chest and ending just at her mid section, the suit banded around her chest and crawled down her arms just short of her elbows. It looked absolutely awesome on her, the other piece wrapped around her thighs and rear like a glove, sticking to her down to her ankles. At first it had been rather hard to put on, but with some work and the instructions given to her she had figured out the best way to go about it. Usually it just meant laying on her back in bed with her feet pointing to the ceiling and pulling it down her legs until it rested pleasantly around her waist. She had feared it would be to restricting but as promised once on it was rather comfortable. Made her feel empowered, she could envision herself adorning it with numerous weapons, and walking about like some warrior princess but even that pipe dream was way to far fetched for even her. Finally her leather satchel hung around her waist, carrying several items she normally kept on her for journeys, today though it was packed with shrooms and some of her own weed, grown in her “herb” garden. She hoped at least Sage would approve of her efforts since she normally had her own supply.

Demi was on her way to inferni and come hell or high water she would meet with Sage, and they would have a blast, because she needed it above all else. Needed someone to talk with not in Anathema, someone who wouldn't look upon her as a damaged good after all that had happened to her. Secretly she hoped more from the encounter, thinking the tender touch of a female would do her good. Inferni was a quick trip from Anathema, hoping her presence wouldn't be needed at home for some dumb idiot getting hurt again. On the other hand she felt an overwhelming need to reconnect with Ouija again at some point, hoping at some point she could patch up their brother and sister relationship.

You mean June 28 right? :3

Thoughts of Anathema and it's members had been far from Sage's mind recently; her concerns were more well-placed elsewhere. Her father had given her plenty to consider during their meeting, and it all swam together in the heavy current that was her mind. Should she continue her endeavors in Inferni, despite the lack of concern by it's members for their misdeeds? Was it worth it? Maybe Talitha had been right after all.

A shaky sigh rattled out of her parted lips and she drew a lit joint up to them in comfort, inhaling readily. The heavy lope of Lennon's stride kept her lethargic body rocking and jolting. Leaning forward to rest her body against his neck, her free hand stroked his thick mane, and she cooed her sad concerns to him in Low-speech. The horse could not help her dilemma much, although his head turned back towards her with a nod and a soft snort; she knew that he cared, and that was enough.

The Optio paid little attention to when she had passed Inferni's skull-piked borders. Despite her efforts before, few flowers bloomed there. It seemed it was a placed doomed to express nothing but death, as was it's original purpose.

The Dampwoods had often been a common haunt of Sage's, and even still it was today. For troubled times, she sought it out as the closest alternative to the favored coast of Cours des Miracles. Her mind was dulled, and so when she picked up the familiar scent, it did not immediately register in her smoke-filled brain. Quickly, though, Lennon began to seem agitated; he had not at all liked visiting Anathema, and Sage couldn't blame him. It wasn't exactly welcoming, either.

When she came into view, it took Sage a moment to recognize her, but when she did she happily noticed the silvery girl wearing the tight-fitting clothing she had sewn herself. Demi still smelled strongly of the underground pack, and immediately she longed to see Ouija again. Perking up at the sight of someone familiar, no matter how rarely acquainted they had been, she urged Lennon forward.

Demi! she called out through a cupped hand, closing the distance between them shortly. What brings you out this way? Despite the haze, Sage did not fail to notice Demi moving swiftly in the direction of Inferni. What business did she, an Anatheman, have there? Surely she knew it was still dangerous? Concerned, Sage glanced around warily, knowing that despite the distance from Inferni's border, there could still be some that would gladly do harm to her so close.

Curious, golden eyes wandered over the clothing she had created. It is holding up well, then? she asked, nodding to the sleek leather piece covering Demi's well-curved body. Sage's seams had improved greatly, and she was proud of them now. Certainly there was more to learn, always, but for now, she could produce articles of clothing without the constant worry of the seams breaking apart. The earthen Lykoi had little time for sewing lately, but that didn't mean that she didn't still care for her work.

The stroll was doing her some good, mood wise at least. Happily stepping along the grass, enjoying the feeling of the leather against her fur, the way it supported her chest, and the feeling of her tail swishing against her backside. It was marvelous and she dared to admit the trade was lopsided; Sage deserved more for her work.

She stopped for a moment to move her hands over the soft leather, grinning quietly to herself, oh how nice it was to finally look and feel sexy again. With the pregnancy, being sick and the miscarriage it had been awhile since she had felt that way. Her eyes where brightened with this revelation as a traveler on the horizon came into view to her fluttering blue eyes. Squinting she barely made out the outline of the horse and it’s rider, and for a moment considered ducking into some hole to hide. But she felt confident today, felt like her old charms could still protect her after she had done everything possible to dismantle her old ways. Back before Teddy her vanity was astronomical, no one stopped her from getting anything she wanted, and she would do just about anything to get a thrill. But that just simply wasn’t her anymore as much as she tried to regain it, a coping mechanism of not having a strong, fierce and handsome mate to protect her anymore.

And at once her face lit up with a happy chirp of excitement as the riders appearance was recognized as none other than the women she was seeking out. Her form at once took off in her direction stopping just short of the great horse she sat atop of. The leather outfit had performed well with her quick sprint, allowing all the movement she had needed.

“I was coming to visit you actually! I must admit I was feeling lonely for some girl talk!” she chirped up happily at the flower girl. She instantly saw the joint and grinned at her in a knowing manner. Demi placed her hands at her hips for effect and posed for her to show off the outfit.

“It fits like a glove, I love it! And the seams are holding up very nicely! Thank you!” again she was extremely happy, which was out of character in some respects for her. But happy, chipper Demi was indeed coming out to play more and more lately, and she went with the flow. Probably didn’t hurt that the smell of weed clung to her as well, along with those slightly red eyes.

“So Sage, how have you been? And how has that new promotion of sorts I heard about going?” Demi truly was someone who didn’t care much for pack politics, she cared more for the personal relationships she held with others.

“And is there any new boy toy I should know about?” she giggled up to her. Wanting very much a gossipy girly conversation with someone, anyone, because her word was completely filled up to the brim with silent grouchy men and bitchy women.

Sorry for the wait!

Sage's expression brightened furthe as Demi closed the distance between them, her demeanor all smiles and sunshine; the Optio was quite sure that the ashy girl had been so cheery before? She hadn't the time to think about a reason behind it, though, because the D'Angelo was chatting excitedly and at top speed about the outfit Sage had made. Humbled and happy to have been of service, the tan girl gave a demure smile and clapped her hands together happily. Oh, I'm so glad! she commented brightly, swaying on the spot. I suppose I've been alright, she began; I've been a bit busy, she replied vaguely. Despite their supposed friendship, Sage was still wary of Anathema, and particularly of this girl who had brought Ouija so down recently.

Demi was quick to change the subject to men, and Sage's ears lowered, her tail flicking as she looked away slyly. I wouldn't say that, exactly, she mumbled, hiding a small smile before turning back to Demi. Should she tell the truth? Oh, maybe if she pursues... Sage thought, wondering how the girl would react, and realizing instantly that she had no idea what Demi might do. It would be most prudent to remain silent about it, for now, she supposed. The petite girl did not want to break the pleasant mood that her current company carried, and so continued with the upbeat conversation.

What about you, love? How is life underground? she jested lightly, flashing a grin and a small laugh. In all honesty, Sage really was curious about how her pack lived, but would never dare get near enough to find out.

Demi smiled a bit as she listened to the lady speak, and answer her questions. She didn't get much about her pack or her position but she assumed it was for the best anyways. Inferni and Anathema weren't exactly on the best terms for now it seemed. Still though she nodded with understanding, knowing at times her job was busy, especially with that repeat costumer Alaki running about.

Once her quick barrage of questions had been answered the conversation turned to her and how she was doing. She gave a quick smile before turning away from her companion for the moment. Demi had lost the fat from her failed pregnancy but her breasts still carried more weight than they had before, but for all purposes she had shed any evidence of that, but shedding the mental scars would be more difficult. Her mate had disappeared, she had hoped something had befalling him, some reasonable excuse to explain his absence, but none had come up. Now that it had been several weeks her mind was still reeling but she hid it well now. But how would she answer such a simple question that required such a long answer. Did she want to tell her of how she hated the caves and wanted to move away, or that she was pleased with her living quarters and everything was just fine. She sighed heavily then.

“Not been a good two months Sage.” she replied quietly, wolves couldn't cry but a single tear would have fallen down her cheek if it had been possible just then. Demi didn't know where exactly to start or if she even wanted to know.

“Lets just say I really just needed to get out of those damp musty caves and breathe free air, and try to forget for a few hours.” Really that's all she wanted, not sure even now, if she wanted to divulge all that had transpired within Anathema, related to her and the former second in command, to someone in a rival pack. After all Sage hadn't felt comfortable speaking much about her question.
