Songan breathed a heavy sigh as he sat up and woke from his slumber. He gazed outside and noticed it was a bit later in the day. He was still down from his meeting with Maska, and although he agreed to make the weapons for the councilman, he was not looking forward to it. He crossed his legs as he tried to relax his mind, though wasn’t having much luck. He wished there was some way he would be able to help his brother regain the authority he deserved and send Maska back to the Great Tribe. With him being here, he was nothing but an annoyance. The red wolf’s gaze moved over to his companion, who of course was already awake and looking over him. He could see she was worried, especially more so now than before. He tried to give her a smile before getting up and heading outside by Rain. He began to pet her gently and needed something to help take his mind off things. Perhaps some time to groom the equine would be nice. He climbed up onto her back and looked over to the she coyote, offering to let her come with. She gently shook her head and said she would stay behind and clean up a bit. He gave her a small nod before giving Rain a kick and beginning to make his way towards the main area.

He paused as he began to pass through. He knew the stables were a little ways off and didn’t like that he had to cut through here. As he passed the Town Hall, he narrowed his eyes and gave a small growl. He hadn’t forgotten what Maska and his guardians did, and it was likely he wouldn’t forget until this situation with him being here was dealt with. He turned his gaze forward and began to head towards the stables.

The old wolf stopped as he came close to the stable and carefully slid off the horse’s back. He stood next to Rain’s side and began to lead her towards the stabled. He was sure there would be someone here to help groom her and he was sure the equine would like it. The silver dapple followed her master towards the stables and looked around before standing at Songan’s side. He gently pet her before moving into the stables. He looked around at the other horses in the stalls, wondering if any of them had owners here in the tribe. His golden orbs gazed around as he walked forward, calling out to anyone who worked here. ”Hello? Is there anyone here?” He stopped as he leaned gently against Rain. She didn’t seem to mind the wolf doing so. He folded his ears down slightly as he waited. He brushed his fingers gently through the horse’s mane and gave her a small smile. It was nice to have her around as well as the support of his companion and spirit guide. They helped to make the change in leadership somewhat bearable.

OOC: Big Grin

Liliana was angry about the whole thing. Everything she worked for, worked so hard to build up on.... was gone, she was no longer a master, no longer one of the higher ranks and she now felt like the half dog she was. She tried not to show this to her mate or children but she was sure they suspected something. Liliana was out in the back pasture teaching her children about horses. Thiswas how her own mother taught her, she didn’t think by doing this they would be like her, but it gave them the option of the trade itself, there was so much more to learn in a pack though and she always taught them what she knew about the pack traditions, though the recent changes seemed to do more confusing and angering her than anything else. She couldn’t understand why this had to happen. Dawali was a great leader. Then she heard a voice call out from inside the stables, frowning slightly she let the horse she had go back to pasture and motioned her children to stay close. She walked into the stables from the back with the two pups trailing behind.

“Hello, is there something I can help you with?”

Liliana asked, though she was made to the Itse status she still formed authority here. She alone knew what horses were here what they needed and how much. She had labored too hard not to have the authority of these stables. The man seemed new, but not so new as the other man who had taken over as leader, at first she thought he came with the man, but he too seemed to have an air of unhappiness around him.

Songan's mind was in another place besides focusing on where he was going. So much had changed since the councilman came here to AinWaya and demoted his bother to the worst rank in the tribe. He found it a bit hard to focus on his work while he thought about Maska and his brother, though he had tried his best. So much had to be done and he had many weapons to make, though he was trying to put it off for as long as he could. He sighed, knowing he would have to work on them eventually, though now was not the time. His gaze moved back forward as he neared his target area. He was actually glad that the stables were a little ways off from the main village. He didn't like to stay there long anymore. It was better for him to stay away from the new leadership as much as he could. He was still sore after his last meeting with Maska. He gave a small huff as he passed through and could see the stables coming into view.

Songan paused as he can in and heard someone reply. He came closer and looked to the one here tending to the horses. He thought he had caught a glimpse of her when Maska held the meeting and took over, though he didn't really know much about her. It looked like she had been here a while and really did care about the horses. He gave her a small smile as he tipped his head a bit. "My name is Songan Amara. I was hoping I could bring Rain here and have someone help me groom her. She's gotten a bit dirty. Would you mind helping me?" Rain came a bit more into view as the red wolf began to speak to the she wolf. She seemed happy to be here and stood by her master's side. It would be alright with him if she didn't want to and instead tended to the other horses while he groomed, though it would be nice to get to know the hybrid. Making friends with this new leadership around was going to be easier seeing as it looked like most of them were not happy with the outcome. He folded his ears down a bit before speaking again. "May I ask what your name is?"

The old wolf gently brushed his finger's along the horse's neck as he waited to see if she would be able to help him. Even if she didn't he would need some tools to help groom her and he didn't have those. He had hoped there would be a spare set laying around here that he would be able to use. His eyes gazed around the stables looking for the grooming supplies. He was not able to see them in sight, though his eyes moved back to the hybrid, showing her his attention. He tried to keep a smile as he waited for her reply. It was proving to be a bit difficult.

OOC: Smile

Liliana looked at the horse and smiled at the man’s request and she nodded. The pups looked at the man with interest but stayed behind her mother’s legs.

“I would love to help you.”

She said, she could tell he was not one of the minions that had come with that Maska person, the one who stripped her of her ranks. She knew mostly because she had spotted the man from a distance but had been far too busy to introduce herself. She had found herself like that since having pups and breeding and training her new horses. Now she had stopped the breeding it was much less work for her, though it still consumed much of her time.

“My name is Liliana Utina, and this is Siqui and Kuruk here let me get the grooming things for us I’ll be right back.”

She said with a pleasant smile before turning to the back of the stables where she kept the supplies together. She put them in a bucket and walked over to Songan and put the bucket next to the horse.

“We can keep the horse out here, not much room to groom with two inside a stall.”

She said picking up a brush and working on starting to brush the horse. She looked down at her pups who were no bored and were playing with one another, They had found a small corner where there was no horses or animals that could hurt them tackling one another Her attention came back to the man and smiled.

“So you are Dawali’s relative?”

She asked calmly, slightly unsure of the reaction, due to the man’s demotion to the worst possible rank ever. She, herself did not like it, he had been the best leader she'd known, though he was the only one. He had made everyone feel at home, and everyone did their jobs as they were supposed to.

Songan was glad that the she wolf didn't mind helping him clean the horse. It was nice to still be able to find nice ones after the change in leadership. His golden orbs glanced down as he noticed the two pups at her feet. He gave them a smile before moving his head back up to their mother. She also introduced herself and the pups. She then said she would go to get the supplies. He smiled and would speak once she returned. He made sure to keep the horse close to him so that he pups would not be in danger from him. He went down to their level, though came back up. His back was still in pain and really shouldn't be doing too much with it. He hoped that he didn't frighten them. He was sure there was nothing about him that was scary, though his sudden movement mght have worried them. He rubbed his back gently as he waited for Liliana to return.

She soon returned with a smile on her face and he gave one back. He noticed the supplies in the bucket and nodded to her statement. He watched the pups and moved Rain into the middle of them so there was room for one of them on each side. Rain didn't seem to mind being led around and cleaned. He took the other brush and began on the other side of the horse. His gaze followed Liliana as she looked over to the pups who went off to play together. It was nice to see that they were able to entertain themselves in these hard times, though they surely wouldn't really know what was going on in the tribe and to his brother. He turned his attention back to the she wolf as she asked if he was related to Dawali. He folded his ears down slightly as he nodded. "Yes. Dawali is my younger brother. I'm the oldest of the Amaras."

He tried to regain his mood, though was finding it rather difficult at the mention of his brother. Surely anyone in the tribe would after what happened when Maska came. He gave a small sigh and tried to change the subject back to her. "You mentioned your name was Liliana Utina. Does that mean you and your pups are related to Nayati Utina?" He had known the white male briefly while he was in the Great Tribe and had asked Sanuye about him seeing as they were childhood friends. It was nice to see that the Amaras were not the only family that was here in AniWaya. He brushed Rain gently and with nice strokes. He watched as the dust flew off her back. Boy was she really dirty. He was sure she would like having this and feeling clean again. Rain tossed her head gently as she shifted her position. The red wolf gently brushed his fingers along her neck before beginning to clean that area. He would get to the rest of her side in a moment.

OOC Stuff

She worked on the mare’s back, one of the favorite spots on a horse to brush as well as the hardes, as hair tended to turn every which way and going with the fur was always essential. She could hear the hurt in the man’s throat and she gave him an apologetic mood.

“Dawali is a good man, he’s my friend, my leader, and will always be so even if someone denounced him. He’s done nothing bad.”

She said, trying to reassure him, and tell him that there was at least a few on Dawali’s side. Liliana was a loyal wolf dog. She would never turn her back on someone unless they truley deserved it.... and Dawali was not one who deserved it.

“Well in a way, I am his mate and they are his children. I was mated into his family.... though Maska believes it is a lie because Dawali mated us...”

She said bitterly She didn’t care though She was an Utina now and would remain so for the rest of her life. She would never be the same if she had to lose her surname as well. Her brush was going over the rump of the mare now. She stayed quiet not sure of what to say, but when worse came to worse she got on the subject of the horse.

“Where did you come by such a beautiful horse?”

Songan's gaze moved over to the she wolf as she began to work on the horse's back. It seemed like this was one of her favorite places to clean, so he carefully cleaned along the neck as well as working back down to the side and gently on the legs. Rain lifted her foot and gently placed it back down as she continued to shift her weight around so she was comfortable. His ears moved up as she began to speak. He could hear the apologetic sound in her voice. Her word brought slight joy to the old wolf, though he was still worried about members saying such things out loud. He feared that if a guardian or even Maska heard them, then they would be in trouble. The last thing he wanted to see was another member of the tribe besides himself getting hurt. As much as he wanted to agree with her on her statements, he remained silent and turned his attention back to the grooming. He did not wish to seem rude, though he did not wish to speak about that matter.

Liliana then began to explain that she was Nayati's mate. So that was how she got the Utina surname. He was happy for her and Nayati, and hapy that they were now starting a family, though he still worried about it because of the last part of her statement. He did not want harm to come to the Utina family because of the recent events, though there was not much Maska could do about it. Who was he to say who could fall in love with who in the tribe. Nayati had even right to fall in love and mate with the she wolf. He gave her a small smile before going back to work. He also grew worried about the bitterness in her voice. As much as he didn't like Maska, he was positive that bitterness towards him would be nothing but trouble. He would know considering what happened when he dared not to show his respect and was rather bitter himself. He shook his head gently to get the worry out of his head, though it would remain there for a while.

She then asked where he had gotten his horse from. His golden orbs moved over towards Rain's face as he patted her neck gently. "She was given to me by the master care taker back in the Great Tribe. I've had her for a while, though she still has a habit of wandering off when I'm not around." He made quick movements over her back before looking over to Liliana. "Do you have something I can use for her mane?" He wait for her to hand him the tool before beginning to comb out Rain's mane. It had gotten really tangled since he had arrived here from the Great Tribe and really though Rain would feel better if it was straightened out too. His tail swayed slightly as he worked on the mane, though his eyes remained on the she wolf as much as he could.

He did not return her encouragement about Dawali, but she didn’t blame him. She knew she was being too upfront about it, but she wasn’t going to hide her feelings, yes it might get her in trouble someday, but what harm could words get her? The topic about her and Nayati being mates was also a delicate one and she did not try to further the conversation. As he spoke about the horse Liliana grinned, she’d met the current one in the great tribe there when she had visited, and learned more about how the tribe trained their horses. It gave her great insight of not only the training she was taught but of the traditions that the great tribe had, so why was Maska such a tyrant? Why couldn’t he just leave AniWaya to the peaceful ways it once was. That was not to be answered quickly if at all.

“That was very thoughtful. A horse trainer does know what horse would fit which wolf best though. I’ve had my experience myself even my mother had to trade a person horses because it wasn’t the right one for them, though she didn’t give him that horse to begin with. She was great at telling what horse went to who, which personality would best co exist.”

She said, the last memory of her mother only came in vaguely, but she had been training herself to remember the good in her parents bcause that’s what she wanted to do, anything bad was worthless to remember, though she would always remember her father died trying to save her and her mother died out of love for her father. In any case the current subject seemed harmless enough and it was better than talking about how she was the master animal carer here, her bitterness towards that was still quite new, but she kept her mouth shut and kept to her chores as usual. Horses didn’t stop living because wolves changed things around.
