Luna had woken up that morning with the soft smell of pineneedles and wild flowers lingering in her nose. These smells made her feel homesick, and for a minute she had thought of abandoning this enterprize and walking back to AniWaya, the place where she had made herself at home. But then, a white face adorned with two deep blue eyes and a cheerful smile filled her head. No, she was not about to fail her friend. She had promised that she would find her mate and bring him back; and she was not about to break that promise.

Later on that day, she found herself running towards the north, her resolution acting as the fuel that powered her long limbs to move forward. Even when her low stamia showed up as a burning sensation on them, she tried to keep her pace for long periods of time, only stopping to hunt her daily portion of food and to catch her breath when it was absolutely necessary. When she ran, she could feel her hear beating fast because of a combination of effort and excitement, the second one being the emotion that ruled her mind in that moment. She could feel the mountain close by, the same place where she had met Roran for the first time. She tried to run faster, but, despite how much did she tried to push herself to the limit, time passed equally slow as before, as if it was trying to piss her off. Unavoidably she had to stop every now and then to catch her breath and to allow her exhausted limbs a rest before retaking her path. And it was during one of these pauses when a smell other than pine needles and musk reached her nose. It meant that there was a pack close by, and it had a faint touch of familiarity within it. So, tired and panting, the wooden shaded woman decided to invesigate.

She hadn't walk too far when the scent started to become stronger, so it was easier for the female to recognize it. It was the pack where she had taken that injured wolf so many weeks ago. And where she had almost been disposed by that other hybrid. Anathema. The memory made her shudder, but she dismissed those thoughts away as she sat on her spot, her legs finally giving up after forcing them further than their limit. But as she did so, she became even more alert. Green eyes watched over the close borders of the Anatheman grounds, in case that somebody decided to show up. Neither her ears or her nose percieved something out of normal, but the female decided that she had already rested enough, so she resumed her path, walking along the invisible division and at the same time moving away from it. A tiny part of her mind wondered how was Alaki, the dark-grey wolf that she had rescued, doing right now. She remembered that his wounds had been really serious, and that he had been very close to death. It had been a great fortune that she had found his torned body before it was too late. But had she been in time? Had he survived the days following his accident? She had no idea. As she pondered about this, she had came to a halt, her gaze set on the territory again. Would it be a bad idea if she called for him? She didn't want to attract unwanted residents, so she decided to sit there as she recovered completely from her race. She could spare a few minutes from her journey after all.
