OOC: Anyone is welcomed Smile || 315 Words

Sascha had convinced his own self to leave his room in which he felt the safest. With his club strapped to his back and his bag which carried all he needed to communicate with others if the occasion came, he left the mansion in Inferni and began walking with Donder and Blitzen following close behind. Donder nuzzled the boy's hand as if he was asking for something and Sas happily petted the side of his neck. They sure have grown; he remembered that day when he got high for the first time with Cotl. That was the day he attempted to ride Blitzen and learned it felt different than riding a horse. Nonetheless, it wasn't a horrible ride; he was a little awkward and wobbly but in time he was sure he would get better.

The area was relatively flat and open, making it a good place to practice. There wasn't much obstacles to avoid which would make things easier. Long legs came to a stop as Blitzen and Donder stood at his side. Being in the middle, he lifted both hands and petted them. He then turned to face the albino reindeer in order to place himself on his back. At first he hesitated but eventually he was successful in climbing onto his back. Now it was time to move, and though he knew the command, he remained still. Donder began grazing, flicking his tail every now and then, while Sascha began blowing raspberries.

It was like he was stuck and unsure what to do, despite the fact he had already gone through this with his father. It wasn't like he completely forgot even though he was high during that time. Perhaps he was unsure of himself, still not use to the feeling of riding a reindeer. Any moment now, the boy would order Blitzen to move with a physical gesture...any moment now...

Hope you don't mind Melee! Big Grin

Word Count: 401

This was the farthest that Melee Soul had been from her home since they Dahlia de Mar had merged with Phoenix Valley. For that matter, she hadn't really been this far very often before that either. Maybe she had never been that far at all. Drifter Bay was certainly new to her. Then again, that was how this territory worked. It was constantly turning over with new debris, driftwood, seashells, and other odds & ends that ended up there with the tide. This was why she was traveling there in the first place, because she wanted to see all of the things that were there today. Perhaps she would find something useful that she could either use or gift to someone else. It wasn't a place for cultured gifts - pens, metalwork, or something else - but she might be able to find interesting driftwood or seashells. For this reason, she had brought along a satchel that swung loosely at her side. Occasionally, it tapped against her leg while she walked.

As she was walking along the beach in her Optime form, though, she spotted something far odder than what she had expected. Horses... with antlers, one of which had a Luperci astride. Was this what happened when a deer bred with a horse? She raised her ears, inhaling the smells of the beach. Unfortunately the stranger was still far enough away that she couldn't smell him, but she was somewhat wary of the unknown wolf. If it even was a wolf. She was close enough to Inferni that it might very well be a coyote. From what she had heard of the bloodthirsty tribe, she wasn't really that interested in coming across any of their members. Apprehensively, the normally outgoing young female stood still. Wondering what she should do. To approach or not to approach? That was the question.

After a brief moment of standing and staring, the eleven-month-old wolfling walked toward the stranger and his odd pair of deer-horse beasts. Her six-fingered hand raised in greeting. "Hello!" she said loudly when she was close enough that he could hear her. Melee kept walking toward him, but her eyes were attentive to catch any signs that he was disinterested or even hostile toward her approach. Because if she saw sign of trouble, the girl would no longer be approaching. The fight or flight instinct would kick in to protect her.

OOC: I forgot to mention in my post that Donder is a buffalo XD | 371 Words

He just sat there on Blitzen, staring at the back of his head while Donder continued to graze. Every now and then the buffalo would glance up, waiting for the boy to do something. Donder made a sound that a buffalo usually would make as if he were trying to encourage him. Ruby eyes moved to the animal's direction for a short moment before he returned to staring at the back of Blitzen's neck. Any moment now he would command him to move....yes....no....maybe. His scowl deepened on his face as the tip of his tongue peeked out from his mouth, itching to blow raspberries. At this time, he was unaware that there was anyone near by as he was too focused on what he was trying to do. Well, more like what he was failing to do. His fingers ran through the white hair of the reindeer's neck, showing Blitzen some kind of affection despite the look on his face. Any minute now....

The only pointed ear on his head pivoted in the direction of the voice he heard. His body became stiff as he forced his head to turn so he could see who had called out to him. He could see the figure approach and he immediately felt the need to hide behind something. Maybe he should pretend not to notice the other....but then that wouldn't work with him obviously looking their way. One would think that this moment was the perfect motivator to make the albino pet move but still he remained. He continued to watch in silence as the other finalized their approach and Sascha lifted a hand to wave hello in a shy manner, the corners of his lips pulled down like they always were.

The strap of his bag rested diagonally across his chest, the pouch at his side where he would have to dig into it to access his means of communicating. He was debating whether to take it out now, finding himself unsure if the other would stay for a conversation or not. He remained silent, due to the fact that he was shy and unable to speak if he wanted to, as his red eyes darted between the other's blue and green ones.

Sorry for the delay!

The creatures were both odd, she thought. They weren't horses but they were docile like the Ichikan steeds. It seemed as if they didn't care that she was approaching, though, as they continued doing whatever they had been doing before. One of them looked massive, too. Like it could easily crush the ribcage of a Luperci and just keep going. A dangerous animal to hunt, if one were so inclined. Yet it had somehow been tamed by this strange ruddy male. It made her wonder what sort of tricks he had to capture animals. Perhaps he had a clue that he could tell her so that she could get a horse of her own. Yes! This could be a very good learning experience indeed for her if he was able to give her that. It was something that she had been seeking for several weeks and here was opportunity presenting itself.

At his hand raised to hail her, she raised her own hand and smiled to show her good intent. Her ears also swayed and she was surprised not to hear words in return. The girl hadn't noticed his scars yet, because she had been more focused on the creatures around him. It was now that her gaze settled on them and she frowned a bit; wondering who could cause harm like that to another wolf. Melee raised her hand to her throat, as if to indicate where the sounds of her own voice came from. How horrible! It made her fur bristle just to think about someone doing that to someone. As an Ichikan, she believed firmly in peace and wasn't one to cause pain. Sympathetically, her throat throbbed in a steady beat against her hand. She finally lowered her hand, her ears lying back against her head in sadness.

"Can you not talk?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. She had never met someone before who was physically incapable of vocalizing.

OOC: Oh no no, there's no need to apologize. it's all good. <333 | 509 Words

Unlike Sascha, Donder and Blitzen were more relaxed around others than the boy was. One would think it would be the opposite, them hiding behind him to feel more safe when it was the coyote mix that wanted to hide behind them. The two beasts acknowledged the other's approach with a lift of their heads and simply looking at him. Perhaps they were more curious than nervous though they didn't make a move to help close the distance. It wasn't long before Donder continued to graze as Blitzen stood there unsure of what he was to do with the young Ulrich just sitting on his back. With the approaching stranger, he found it harder to command him to move when that should have been the best opportunity to do so seeing as he wanted to hide.

All the signs he had witnessed, the other wasn't a threat but that didn't change how the boy felt. He was a pathetic timid male which may never change. She even waved back at him with a smile which should have convinced him to relax even more but failed to. Just as she looked him over, he did as well. He noticed the sudden change in her expression, a sad look now occupying her appearance as her hand rested on her throat. He tilted his head ever so slightly, mimicking her actions as he raised a free hand to his throat to touch the tattooed scar, wondering at first why she did that. It wasn't until she spoke when he understood her actions and sudden change in demeanor. Though English wasn't his strong language, he pretty much understood what she had asked. He shook his head no in which confirmed that he was unable to speak.

He was debating whether or not to dismount from Blitzen so both of them wouldn't have to strain their necks. But that would mean getting closer to the girl so he gave it some thought and after a moment, he had come to a conclusion. He climbed off of the albino reindeer on the opposite side of where the girl stood and walked to the front of Blitzen where his hand rested on the side of his neck to pet him. Blitzen's head was now between him and the girl so in a way, he was hiding but still interacting with the other. He then dug into his back, his hand leaving Blitzen for the time being, and pulled out a pad of papers and a pen so that he could write down what he wished to say. Sascha. He then held up the book, making sure Blitzen's head wasn't blocking it, so that she could read it. He hoped she had the capability to do so or else it would make communicating with her harder. It was then that Donder made his way over to the girl to sniff at her fur, being a little curious of who Sascha was interacting with. The buffalo had more bravery than him, would one think that to be sad?
