The cool night was soothing to the male as he sat on the edge of the small pool of water. The Grandfathers Tears held certain spiritual qualities for the male- most running water did. One dark paw lay in the water itself, connecting his soul to the water around him. Hania sat in his usual spot on his head, body draped down the back of his neck while his little tail hooked over his shoulder. Small paws rested on the crest of his head as well as the margay's upper body. Nahele didnt understand why the small spirit guide wished to be up at the heights that he did- he stood at a large 7 foot and towered over most. But the guide seemed pleased to be up so high. In some respects Nahele thought Hania wanted to be a bird, up so high and without limits. For the most part, the male slept on Nahele's head, a constant purr emitting from the margay. The Guardian was pleased that the male chose to stay invisible to most- he couldn't imagine the end to the issues he would have if Hania was visible, atop his head like a strange living crown.

His bow lay at his side, the large pouch of arrow head open. While one hand rested on the water in his peaceful moment where he chose to reflect on life, the other slowly gathered the downy feathers left by ducks, geese and swans that swam around here. They were of no use to him- his arrows needed strong fletches than downy feathers. But there was always a use to something and he gathered them in a soft pile by his left knee. Dull golden eyes were intent over the water, the moon high and bright, providing all the light he needed. In these peaceful, calm times, Nahele was almost rational and human. It was when he opened his mouth that things came out unbidden, unchecked.

Renaria

The night had approached quickly for the fae; she had lost track of time wandering among the horses belonging to the AniWaya Pack. She was getting herself acquainted with them, since her job from now on would revolve around the gentle giants. The last horse she had seen was a buckskin by the name of Buck. He was fine horse; good structure and strong legs, and Renaria had taken a liking to him.

She left the stables, surprised to see stars above her. The sky was growing a deep, inky blue, a strong contrast to the clear and sunny sky she had entered to. She glanced round her, unsure of where to go next. The female was still new to AniWaya's territory, and she had yet to see each corner of it.

She chose a direction at random and set off, heading south, deeper into the territory. She kept to her Optime form, wanting to walk at a comfortable pace and observe her surroundings as she went. After a time, the trees began to thicken, and soon she was walking through much denser forest. She smiled and shifted her bag higher onto her shoulder. The forest was calming; Renaria decided she had found the pace she would come to think.

After a little more time, she entered a more open area in the trees, a small pool of water before her. Her eyes lit up; it really was a lovely little place. However, she was not alone. Her eyes fell on a male seated right at the edge of the water. SHe had disturbed him, and she mentally chided herself for it. She gave the male an apologetic glance. "Ah, I'm sorry."

Hania warned him early on that there was a figure walking through the woods towards him, as if he didnt already know. He could hear the person, no matter how quietly she walked. It was his job to hear them, although Hania helped greatly with this. He nodded softly, almost dislodging the margay spirit who still insisted on sitting on his head. The cat dug its claws into his head, making him wince. The spirt wasnt exactly heavy, not by a long shot. But the spirits position on his head still had the ability to make his head bend in a way that said there was weight on there. He tried to consciously hold his head upright, but the spirit often deliberately put weight on his neck to see if the warrior would bend. So far, Nahele had always managed to outstand the spirits playful games. He got on well with the cat, although there were times were he thought the spirit had been send to torture him.

It wasnt a shock, therefore, when the female slipped out of the forest. Still, her words made him snort softly. He did not own the Tears, although he was damned if he would allow Dawali to lead the tribe and therefore own the pools. These were tribe lands and therefore, for the moment, they belonged to Maska. He looked up, removing his hand from the water and swiftly pushing the downy feathers behind him in one swift movement. She addressed him in English, so he would answer in English. "You are sorry for walking through the forest and discovering me here? I think there are better things to be sorry for." His speech was uncomfortable, but he wasnt exactly used to this tongue. Having grown up his whole life in the Great Tribe, he was much more used to speaking the ancient language that he thought in, instead of the foreign language with which he had learnt for convenienc sake.

Renaria

Renaria was unsure why she had apologized. Of course the male there did not own the pool, nor the forest. She was just an extremely polite individual, and a newcomer to these lands. That, and she had feared she'd interrupted some important thought, or a quiet need of solitude.

From his completely un-startled expression, she figured that he had heard her long before she had appeared. Of course, they had excellent hearing, so she did not put it past him to have been alerted some time ago. Her own sensitive ears flickered, picking up the faint sound of snorted amusement. Perhaps he thought her apology was silly, unneeded? She stepped over to the edge of the pool, but kept her distance from him. She was not going to interrupt his evening activities and invade his personal space all at once.

As he spoke, she could hear from his voice that her tongue was not his native language. She assumed that he usually spoke the language she had heard the other Pack members using, and made a silent vow to study meticulously and learn it. "Well yes, I suppose there are better things." She glanced up at him and met his gaze. "Although I understand that not everyone likes being interrupted. So I suppose I was apologizing for interrupting whatever you were doing, rather than simply finding you."

Uncertainty crossed the females mind and Nahele found he was glad that she was not as liberal as the whores Dawali had allowed to flourish under his reign. The only female worth acknowledging at the moment was Chitsa- she understood why they were here and why they had to so as they had done. There was hope for this one however- it appeared she had joined AniWaya after Maska had taken control and that meant she was unused to any rule but their current commander. It would do her well indeed to remain in this kind of a mindset, and she would go well in the months ahead. It was for this reason, this certain humility about her that Nahele felt the need to keep her closer. He shuffled back, perhaps indicating that there was room at the banks for her to sit down also. Foreign tongue worked to explain herself and Nahele could hear her uncertainty in her tone.

She agreed that there were better things to apologise for, conceeding that he was right which made him nod softly. Hania gave a silent hiss on his perch on top of Nahele's head, silent to everyone but himself. He was tempted to shaking his skull to dislodge the slumbering spirit further, but decided against it as she continued speaking. Nahele turned back, his own brain slower to comprehend her words but getting there in the end. "That is the truth, Atsilvsgi" He said, an awkward phrasing for agreeing that she was right. He looked up at her, dull gold eyes wondering what her name was.

"I am called Nahele" His mouth didnt fit right to the words, but he tried his best anyway. He pointed towards her, cocking his head to the side to indicate that he was asking her name as well. He supposed he would have to get used to talking in this way if they were to be here for a while.

Renaria

She could tell that the male was evaluating her, and she suddenly grew nervous. She sincerely hoped that he was not coming to the conclusion that she was just a member, one of a handful of new faces that she assumed now wandered the pack lands. She was still trying to figure things out; to learn the ways of the AniWayan's. Her lack of knowledge in their language was evidence of that. She watched, azure eyes alight with a sudden curiosity, as the male shifted over. Was he indicating space? Inviting her to sit? She stepped slowly over, wary of impinging on his personal space.

However, he seemed more than comfortable, which meant she was probably correct in assuming that was his intention. She sat next to him, lowering herself to the ground with grace. She reflected his nod as he agreed with her; it seemed they both thought each had a valid point. She could hear again that he had trouble finding the words in her native tongue, and she was sorry that she could not help him with it. Her own blue eyes met his golden ones, and she gave him a small smile.

"Nahele." She repeated his name to ensure she had understood it's pronunciation, giving a satisfied nod and another smile. She read his body language, understanding he was asking for her own name. "Renaria." She tried to keep her words as simple as she could make them. She could tell he was unused to speaking her language, but she did not know what his understanding of it was. "I am Renaria."

She formulated a question of her own. "How long have you been with AniWaya?" Hoping that he could understand, she added, "I am sorry I cannot speak your language."

So I suck COMPLETELY! My replies should be quicker hun!

Her wary eyes were easy to read and Nahele could see that she was worried about making the wrong impression. She was no tribe female, but she wasnt as loosely moralled as the rest of the females in this place. As she moved forward, dull gold eyes watched as her body moved fluidly and gracefully, a trait he hadnt seen in a long time. She sat beside him and he shuffled just a movement closer although he didnt actually move. Despite this female being completely untraditional, he felt himself drawn to her in a way that completely confused him. Hania dug his claws into his head and Nahele faltered just slightly, a flinch perhaps revealing the existance of the cat on his head. Hania hadn't revealed himself to anyone in AniWaya yet and as such the members were unaware of what his spirit guide was. Maska knew, as didn Shadi and Wematin, but they'd travelled with each other for a long time and the spirit had had a lot of time to get used to them. Shadi's spirit was still a little gruff, but it seemed Hania spent a lot of his time ignoring the wolverine.

His ears twitched forward as his own name was repeated back to him. It sounded different, strange to him, but it was his name alright. Gold eyes looked towards the female as she spoke again, a strange word that he took to be her name. "Renaria" The vowels sounded strange to his tongue, but he was satisfied that he'd said the word properly. He looked over at her, dull eyes narrowed softly before he chirped "Ren.." A much easier set of letters for him to pronounce. He nodded gently in return before her voice came again. It took him a moment to work out what she was saying before his shoulders shruged softly. He had no word for July so he didnt bother. "We have been in this tribe since Guyequoni... a moon ago." He said, trying to work out dates in his mind. They had been in AniWaya for just under a month and so much had changed.

He looked up as she apologised, understanding that she meant to say sorry for not speaking his own language. He shook his head softly before allowing Hania to resettle once more. "It is... good for me to learn your language, by speaking it back to you." He said, knowing it was an awkward phrasing of what he meant but that the meaning would be clear to her. He played with a piece of grass before looking over again. "Where have you come from? Where is your Sidanelvhi... your family?" He asked, the word family getting stuck on his tongue. He sounded it out evenly but it was still a distorted sound of the original word. He was getting there though, which was an improvement.
