Time to [p]ay the piper

He had intended to visit his brother. The two males were not as close as they had been growing up, but they were still family. He halted outside of the borders, realizing the scent that should have been there weren't there. His ears folded back. He walked deeper into the Valley Territory. Except...it wasn't Valley territory anymore, it seemed. There were no pack scents here, only a distant memory of them. He stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets, looking around the abandoned packlands. He adjusted his pack, catching the scent of the Patriarch. Perhaps Jefferson could explain to him what was going on.

He made his way to where the scent was strongest, pausing a small distance away from the house. Bi-colored eyes looked up at the house. Tal had been so wrapped up in his own life, he was unaware of his father's demise. He was unaware of the Dahlia - Valley merger. He shifted the pack again. Inside the pack was a small gift for the male, a small bundle of fresh garlic. He'd though the Phoenix Valley members would appreciate it. Perhaps Jefferson would have a use for it.

He paused, hesitating. There was still time to leave, but he needed to know what had happened to his brother, if Noah was safe still. He spoke up in the still of the mid afternoon heat. "Hello? Jefferson?"
