Alli: permission to grab Anu/you can pp Maska grabbing her/other if you want that to happen? Smile

While his Guardians might have been brutal towards the prisoners, Maska was not such a male. The prisoners had been in this condition when he found them, honestly. He took breath to form a reply, but before he could continue to endulge the femme in her little pathetic games she suddenly threw herself forward, all teeth and claw. Maska stepped backwards as he watched how she made for Thel, and seemingly without much effort quickly chewing on his neck. But Maska had one advantage; they did not know AniWayan. "Atsiyvgiyv!" He moved sideways swiftly, moving towards the older prisoner. Deftly, he slipped a knife into his hand and moved towards her - Savina would likely think twice before she moved in with him putting that to Anu's throat. All around him the Guardians had already reacted, two of them already lunging for Savina to tear her off Thel. Will and Wisteria both came running in from Savina's rear, spear and bow at the ready. All in all, Maska was impressed with the femme's ferocity. Was it bravery or foolishness to attack a force with such superior technology as they had?

Soon enough, Maska was by Anu, and the Guardian holding her had tightened their grip on her. Quickly, Maska lifted his knife to the wolfess' throat, while calling out to Savina. "I came to answer your questions and you answer me with murder. I had killed no one, but you leave me no choice!" His voice was loud and clear over the roar of the confusion, and the sharp knife was pointed threateningly towards Anu's neck. How foolish was Savina, really? Would she continue to surprise him?

as a game I put my hand over the flame

Gotham is fighting with Will, to keep him off Savina. Word Count »

Everything changed in an instant. He had stood by silently, glaring at the strangers, hating them as he had never imagined he could Each insult to his mother was an insult to him. Each foul sneer and crooked eye stabbed his pride. A swelling tide of noise rose from their faction as Fia fought, fell, and was struck. It was Savina who made the kill, Savina who gave into the beast he knew she carried, and Savina who now was the target of the strange, savage wolves.

Gotham threw himself into the fray, grappling with the male carrying the spear. He managed to grip this firmly, but earned a strong blow to the face for his trouble. Unwilling to let the armed man pass, the two began to spin and snap and snarl as they fought for the right to hold the spear. Both seemed to recognize that it alone might save them from one another.

OOc: Durr durr… Those four were NPC’s right? ^^' Hope I didn't over do this ><

Leon’s anger only rose as the male spoke in the odd tongue. His back stiffened and he bore his fangs as a larger wolf stepped protectively before the twig. He knew not what they spoke of, but he knew that tone well enough. Gripping his weapon in both arms, the Timber took a step forward, willing to accept the others challenge.

But his glaring eyes were drawn once more to the females who were being held as hostages as the younger female made a sudden attempt to escape. He watched as the guard yanked the collar and held it till she passed out from lack of air. And he shouted with rage as another male used a whip on the unconscious girl. He threw his body into motion at the same moment Savina lunged. She covered the gap much quicker than he, ripping the throat from the male. But four more guardians quickly moved to surround her.

Behind him, he could hear the other Dreamers moving to join her, and her son quickly gaining on him. He angled himself towards the wolf with the bow and lowered his shoulder to bash the guardian’s back, knocking him to the ground. He spun his weapon about and used the butt end to jab the archers throat hard, drawing a rewarding gasp of pain. He left the gagging man, and moved quickly past Savina to swing his steel bladed weapon at the male holding the younger Dreamer. The guard raised his own wooden spear to deflect the blow, splintering the shaft as he did so. Leon snarled and pressed on with several more strikes, driving the warrior of Aniwaya further from the unconscious girl.

And as the twig leader of Aniwaya yelled at Savina, Leon’s anger boiled over. He thrust low at his opponent, then caught the other mans weapon as he parried. He spun his spear quickly and forcefully, tearing the weapon from the man’s right hand. The timber dropped his weapons and rushed forward, bashing the male’s face with a hard right cross. He caught the disorientated wolf’s arm and spun it around, forcing the man to his knees. Then he placed his right hand at the man’s elbow and used his left to break the guardians arm. As he yelped, Leon punched him in the back of the head, turning his body into the punch. And as the male fell unconscious, Leon picked up his fallen weapon, raising it above his shoulder, eyes fixed on the still man.

All she felt was the sudden shot of energy surge through the crowd. Savina had spoken her conclusion, and the rest had come to chaos. She felt the hands of the Guardians grip her tightly, then the face of Maska fill her view. The sharp pressure of the hard blade caused the woman to go still, her heart stopping as she faced the realization that she might be about to die. Blue eyes shot open, the movements of bodies around her mere blurs. The wolfess hung in their grips, the world around her moving too quickly for her to react or fight. Her form too weak to scream out, the rope around her neck biting relentlessly. He spoke and the words rang in her ears, their meanings curiously sharp in her mind for the others had been muffled and dulled by the pain of her injuries. Anu closed her eyes and braced for the knife.

It was difficult for him to concentrate on anything, even orders to with strain himself from attacking the monsters who had snuck into his home in the middle of the night, attacked his family, and taken his long time friend as well as his own blood. As Fia and Anu were dragged forward his fur prickled in aggression and anger, his lips hesitantly curling up and back down periodically to show his deathly fangs. All the father wanted to do was protect his little girl from the evils that were now laced around her neck. They were breaking her, breaking his litter girl and he was under oath not to do anything about it. All he could do was wait.

The words passed between the leaders were lost on his ears as he looked at Fia, longing for her to understand that in a few short minutes he would do anything, including give his life for hers. It tore the warrior’s heart to see that the girl before him did not believe that he would save her. Suddenly the game changed and his attention was no longer so focused. His little girl struggled and was pulled, unconscious, to the ground, Savina launched at one of the guardians, killing him in seconds and in that same moment all hell broke loose. The Dreamers all launched into action, attacking the group before them.

Although the Knight held both father and warrior instincts it was not the fight instincts that clicked in but the defense. Rushing forward he crouched low over his daughters frail body, golden eyes flickering with anger at the monsters and fear for his pack and family. Teeth now gleamed a pearly white and he salivated fiercely daring one of the opposers to come within biting distance. Massive paws dug into the ground, refusing to budge for the sack of poor little Fia beneath his Halfling mass. They wouldn’t take her away from him again. Even as Anu was held at knifepoint the warrior stayed even when he wanted to free his friend from the evils of these wolves.

As soon as she had moved her fellow Dreamers had moved with them. She had been able to feel their own rage radiating around here like the rays of the sun on a scorching summer day. They had only been waiting for an excuse to attack and their Consul had given it to them. Savina was unsure of whether or not her action had been the wisest, but she had been unable to take any more tripe from these cretins. It was clear that diplomacy would solve nothing. Maska had been pompous and without a drop of humility for his action of war from the very start. He expected her to defer to him and she would not. She did not fear him, or his thugs. The Italian would give them all good reason to fear her, however.

The Dreaming leader spit out the sad remains of the AniWayan's throat in disgust and sharpened emerald eyes surveyed the chaos that had broken out in her wake. Leonard and Gotham were fighting the wolves who had made to move against her and Jazper was protecting his fallen daughter. There was only one other wolf Savina wanted to sink her teeth into. She searched the scene for Maska, but he had moved, and when she found him vicious snarl erupted from her throat. "DREAMERS STAND DOWN," she bellowed. Her body desired nothing but to continue the fight, but she would not risk Anu's life to satisfy her rage.

Her feral gaze connected with the sickly man's again, and they shone with a deadly madness that few had seen in those green depths. "I will not attempt to treat with a creature such as you any longer. It was a courtesy to even offer you diplomacy when you found such a thing beneath yourself," she growled, her voice taking on a deeper pitch. "I promise you, if you harm her any further—or gods forbid—kill her, I will not rest until you all are dead and sent to the deepest pits of hell." There was no hesitation, no waver in her voice. It would be clear to any who looked upon the ebon wolf that she meant those words with every fiber of her soul.

An angry jerk of her head sent a signal to her packmates to leave off and head back towards their home. They could not save Anu today—a fact that burned in her gut like a hot iron—but they would take Fia back to safety. The Consul waited until all of those that came with her were moving away and then gave the sorry excuse for a man one last look. "If any of yours try to hinder our way home, we will kill them too." The bloodstained leader's eyes shifted remorsefully onto her friend before she turned to leave.

Slight powerplay of them leaving. Anyone still welcome to post and stuff after this! Anyone from AW who wants to kill off their character can have them follow the Dreamers, I guess? Anyone looking to kill someone from AW can kill a PNPC (powerplay them following the Dreamers). Kill just one, please Smile

The femme was rigid as he held the knife to her throat and he smiled slyly at Savina as she ordered her "warriors" to stand down. It was truly entertaining. He noted, satisfied, that they did not dare lay hands on Claudius. How easy it was to navigate these wolves - how undaring they were. They would not go the full length in the defense of their home. Clearly, they did not burn with the same passions as he did, and their attempt at defending themselves against the conflict was weak, pathetic. With this rash, brutish reaction it would appear almost wanted full-blown war; they could have it. This had been a mere taste, a foreplay. AniWayan Guardians could dance better than this. The Dreamers miserably stepped on each other's toes, and Maska knew exactly how to play them from now on. She spat with contempt at what he was doing, and he answered her coolly. "You know what it is I seek. It is the simplest thing to give it to me." He did not know the hell she spoke of, and she clearly did not understand justice and. How dare she disrupt the balance further? Her attack was futile, though Maska was displeased at losing one of his more faithful Guardians. Diplomacy was beneath him? It would seem she was the one to bare her fangs first. Still, he smiled as the Marino woman spat her useless threats and signalled her packmembers to leave. He did not worry about any Guardians she might kill; he had so many now! So many, and they were all willing to die for him - could the same be said about her underlings? They had come and retrieved one prisoner, but the ace remained. As they went, he tightened his grip on the precious femme, but shouted after the defeated leader. "Don't you worry! I'll make sure she is treated well..." While he had no intention of harming her, Savina didn't know that, and clearly she thought him capable of hideous things.

Once they were gone, he relaxed his blade. Harshly, he turned the femme's body around and pushed her into the arms of the closest Guardian. "Take her back." With a grim face he turned to Thel's body, wordlessly signalling for the other Guardians to help him. They would have a burial to tend to tonight, and AniWaya would know who was responsible.

OOc: Lol, leo didn’t get to kill anyone XD

Leon's arm froze at Savina's command, his body rigidly still as the male below him slowly regained consciousness. His blade rested just beside the wolf's neck, before slowly dropping away. His body shook as he followed his matron's command, backing slowly from his near victim, eyes downcast. He paused as he hit Thel's body, and his rage resurfaced. His eyes found the archer he had knocked down earlier rising back to his feet as the he passed.

The Timber watched the thin leader carefully while he knocked the male back to the ground as he passed, growling a challenge to the archer. As he stopped beside her, Savina signaled all the dreamers the turn about and withdraw. With a grimace, Leon lowered his weapon and watched as he waited for most of the other dreamers to head off before backing after them slowly, waiting for Savina to catch up before finally turning his back on their enemies.
