She was slowly getting accustomed to her new home. After spending several days exploring, she could admit to herself that Cour des Miracles was a beautiful place, and that she need not feel ashamed for living there despite its infinite differences from the wilds of Russia. However, the reclusive wolfdog made no attempt to enter the human buildings where her pack mates lived. For now, it would have been too much, and so she continued to sleep in the forest or on the beautiful shores of Shattered Coast.

She woke to the sun rising over the ocean, painting both the waters and the sky above a myriad of colors, pinks, oranges and purples. Her pale eyes blinked wearily in the brightness of the coming sun and she pushed herself up to sit and watch the last of the gorgeous display. It was another day, and as usual, she did not know what to do with it.

She stood and shook the sand from her speckled fur, then made her way carefully up the rocky incline of the cliffs on the path she ordinarily took to the ocean. Below, the sea hissed into the many caves that pocked the shoreline. She had visited the caves a few days ago and marveled at the perfectly smooth walls that had been carved by the ocean as if by a the most skilled sculptor.

Continuing on, the land sloped downward into a smooth meadow of grasses and bright summer wildflowers. Ahead was the forest that she had learned well to navigate, but something about the emerald grass serenely swaying in the breeze urged her to remain in the open and enjoy the cool morning air.

The sun was shining and the breeze was nice. Deep red hair soaked by the ocean. The mornings swim made her happy she felt so at ease here at the ocean. She had dressed and had figured that Jiva would be fine after all he was growing up and didn't always need mommy there to take care of him

Amaranth wanted to go onto the field and do something. The beach was nice and filled her heart with joy she needed to get a change in sights. She reached her cave home and grabbed her staff her uncle had done a wonderful job making a new staff since she broke her last one. Let us be off the field is perfect for training. she said to herself.

She had to admit she never really got excited unless she had something to do. Amaranth broke out into a run staff strapped to her back she was one of the few mighty warriors the court had. Stepping up onto the green grass she smiled. She loved the feeling of grass on her feet. The damp feeling and crisp green color. She looked out on to the field she smiled. One other was out here today well it was a great place to be after all.
