Vesper
Basics

Name Meaning: Evening

Name Origin: English, archaic

Nicknames: Ves, Vesp

Birthdate: October 28, 2009

Age: Approximately 22 months

Luperci: No

Heritage: 50% Eastern Timber Wolf, 50% Northeastern Coyote

Physical Appearance

Height & Weight

45lbs, 24in tall at withers

Build: Small; compact muscle; balanced speed and strength; slender facial features.

Eyes: Light blue

Base Fur Color: Tawny

Markings: Generic timber markings. Darker streaks and dapples throughout fur, most distinct on light-colored chest. Nearly white fur around eyes.

Scars: Scratch above left eye; two toes missing on right hind paw; bite mark on right shoulder; thin, shallow gash across hips; tip of left ear missing.

Personality

Positive Traits: Independent, disciplined, reliable, flexible, good-natured.

Negative Traits: Arrogant, vengeful, cold-natured, challenging, aloof, scornful.

First Impression: Vesper first comes across as a distant individual with the capacity for arrogance and cruel mocking, a wolf who looks down on everyone and assumes they are idiots before they opens their mouths. However, once someone treats her with respect and she respects them back, the barrier comes down and Vesper becomes pretty agreeable. Females are treated with courtesy more quickly than males, who she views with skepticism. Playful teasing is a strong part of how she bonds with others, but she knows how to be serious and nurturing when a close friend needs help.

Quirks

Bad Habits: Smirking instead of smiling. Overusing sarcasm and dry remarks. Challenging others, especially in fights. Teasing, both seriously and playfully.

Obsessions: Blazing her own trail. Polishing her fighting skills. The future. Independence.

Fears: Drowning. Becoming dependent. Finding someone only to lose them. Getting caught off guard.

Beliefs & Ideals

Religion: None, but believes vaguely in reincarnation.

Prejudices: Males, especially flirtatious ones. Idiots. Dependents. Young pack leaders.

Values: Independence, intelligence, fighting ability, self-control, mutual respect, balance.

Pack Viewpoint: Born a loner, Vesper is independent and does not believe that she needs to join a pack. However, she is not against packs, and if one were to catch her fancy, she would join it. She believes that packs should consist of independent members coexisting to make life easier for each other, not for tyrannical leaders who want power or for worthless omegas to leech off those who can actually hunt.

Lifestyle & Behavior

Residence: None, tends to wander.

Favorite Haunts: Forests such as the Dampwoods.

Hobbies: Exploring new locations and prey sources. Polishing fighting skills. Mapping out the stars (in her mind).

Abilities

Skills: Fighting, hunting, astrological navigation.

Strengths: Her speed and agility is her number one strength in fights, though she has enough muscle in her jaws to give her a small edge in strength. She has trained long and hard to be able to keep her balance in fights, as well. Mentally, her independence helps her make good decisions for herself. She also has very high discipline, which helps her keep her temper under control (in most situations, at least). She is alert, meaning that it’s hard to sneak up on her.

Weaknesses: Her small size means that, when she’s pinned, she’s most likely a goner unless she’s flexible enough to wriggle out of the other’s grasp. The missing toes on her hind paw means that she has to work extra hard for balance, and it’s a weak point on her body. Mentally, jabs at her pride often get to her, and while she is good at holding her temper, when she finally loses it her mind’s gone. She’s also quite jumpy.

Family

Ancestry:

Mother: Winter – Northwestern Coyote – Deceased.

Father: Marcel – Eastern Timber Wolf – Missing, presumed to be with Sparrow.

Same Generation:

Siblings: Sparrow – Coyote-Wolf Hybrid – Missing, presumed to be with Marcel.

Half-Siblings: Unknown.

Past Packs & History

Unnamed Coyote Band:

Notable Members: Oliver, leader. Juniper, close friend of Vesper.

Description: A band consisting mostly of young coyotes, formed initially out of necessity for survival, turning soon into an excuse for the leader to exercise his power.

History: Vesper joined with the relatively small band because it interested her, and she thought that it would give her a small edge in survival; she did not believe that she needed the others, but she thought everyone would benefit. However, she soon noticed that Oliver was abusing some of the smaller wolves. In particular, he was in an abusive relationship with Juniper. Vesper comforted Juniper, and that led into a romantic relationship—one that drove Vesper to challenge Oliver for leadership so that June would no longer suffer. They fought bitterly, and though she gained deep scars, Vesper killed Oliver. However, everyone was too afraid and stunned to follow her, Juniper included, so she bitterly left them behind.

Pre-'Souls Outline:

Before birth: Winter, lone coyote, is raped by wolf, Marcel.

0 months: Vesper and Sparrow born.

8 months: Winter is injured in hunting accident. Vesper becomes main provider for the family.

9 months: Marcel kills Winter and coaxes children to join him. Vesper fights him and fails. Sparrow is taken.

9 months to 1 year, 3 months: Vesper briefly searches for her father and sister before wandering, learning to live completely on her own.

1 year, 3 months: Joins coyote band led by Oliver.

1 year, 6 months: Challenges and kills Oliver. Abandons coyote band.

1 year, 10 months: Enters ’Souls.

'Souls Outline:

1 year, 10 months: Enters ’Souls.

/*Just some general notes: You can use this to keep track of your Word of the Day or game points, too. It counts them automatically for you, then. 8D An example of this can be found in Sie's postlog (http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index ... st&p=95421). Please feel free to quote the post and lift that example, though I swear there's nothing different about that code than the code provided here! Also, remember, if you use the basic DIV shell in multiple posts, you only need to include the CSS once! That's it! And then you can control all of your archives with one CSS, if you please! If not, and you want multiple different layouts for each vespacter and you plan to customise each one, *PLEASE* remember to change your class names from .vesp to your vespacter's name or another unique identification, otherwise your CSSes will overlap and it will be bad.*/

Smile I typed all of the thread titles in my vespacter archives as properly capitalized and just set the links to display as lowercase.
