Sira had run, run as fast and as far as she could. If her mother ever came after her, found her, she'd be dead. She had little time to marvel at the things around her, that was until she first encountered a thing she'd never seen. It was made of wood, but it wasn't a tree. This made Sira stop in her tracks. Eying the object she knew she only had a few moments before she was sure her mother would be upon her. This thing had such unexplained things that she couldn't possibly know how to describe it. Sniffing it, it smelled old, and it felt ominous to be near it. Stepping back the girl; unwittingly finding an old habitation that belonged to a human; decided it was best to get away from the thing as soon as she could. Backing away she turned and fled. The wold around her was not as she had thought, the same boring expanse as her den was. It had many different things, and one being that of a huge body of water. The largest the young female had ever seen. She was troubled and felt dizzy trying to see land on the other side. This was not good. She ran from the Bay as well. No answers were coming to her, nothng of instinct came to her that would tell her this was the world. Her mother was supposed to have taught her that.

Finally finding some wood to hide in, she relaxed, this was what she knew and loved, but as she moved through the woods, she could tell there was something different about them. She would leave quickly; but upon leaving the thick trees behind, she saw something that took her breath away.... it was rock... HUGE ROCK!!! What was the world coming to. She collapsed, and started crying. Why had she left her mothers? How was she going to live by herself, in this land she knew nothing about? She sniffed, trying to hide her face from the new world that surrounded her. She couldn't go back now mother would kill her, she would be furious.

WC:452+ - His guit for abandoning Alaki and Chishio is what makes him so concerned for others and a tatch over protective :3

Guilt had finally caused him to move from the home he had occupied for such a long time, his once slow paced life was now at full speed, the change so sudden that he had yet to truly process everything. For the whispers and rumours could no longer be ignored he had left everything behind. Although must such tales that reached him were exaggerated and based of anything but fact, the whispers of two particular wolves had concerned him, whether they be true or not. Previously he had searched for his relatives, after discovering at a later date of their slaughter; he had refused to believe none had survived and so he had stubbornly sought out survivors, only to discover his own sister's corpse. After that, he had concluded ignorance was true bliss and had deluded himself with the hope that there were survivors, that the others had made it and so he didn't need to find out the truth. But from what he had heard, he had reason to believe that two of his nephews were out there, alive but having suffered; one with a tortured past and the other know for his insanity and cruelty. A sickening feeling bloomed within his stomach, as guilt hit him hard once more. If only I had looked for them, I could have saved them, raised them. All their suffering.. it's my own fault, I was to weak, to concerned for myself that I let them rot and become what they have. Such thought consumed his mind and refused to leave, slowly spiralling endlessly down, become worse and worse each time he thought about how he'd left them, how he'd simply not bothered to find them to protect himself from possible pain.

So consumed within his own mind, he had allowed himself to wonder blindly into the woods; only a small part of his mind taking in the sights that appeared before his eyes. Scarce trees surrounded him, along with the odd rock here and there, but nothing note worthy, until the distressed whimpers of another reached his ears. Coming to a stop, he brought himself into the present, finally taking in the scene before him; a large rock and a clearly upset female. Instantly he panicked on the spot, his mouth working but at a loss for words, then he simply approached the female and knelt down before her at a cautious distance; one hand outstretched in an unsure gesture. “It's okay, you're okay” his muttered words were meaningless, for he had no clue what had upset, all he could do was try and sooth her and see if he could assist her somehow. Such a sucker for a good damsel in distress...

WC:207+ - OOC: /grin

She couldn’t help but cry, everything was so overwhelming to her that she was caught up in the whole thing, and she knew she was stuck. At the sound of the voice, the woman jumped. Never in her life had she heard a man’s voice, and the sound startled her. Her eyes went wide as she saw the man, he had one eye open, and was so strange looking. Whe... where were her.... why did the animal, was it another jackal? No it couldn’t be. Her mind was in a jumble before she was able to even get one word out of her mouth.

“What... what are you?”

Well the creature in front of her looked like her, had ears like hers, and a muzzle, but the build of the creature in front of her was so alien that she wasn’t sure how to react, though through the strangeness of his voice she could hear a soothing calm. She was far too afraid to calm down though her crying did stop she was too scared, curious and everything else to cry. She couldn’t move away because so far he had not jumped to attack her which was a good start for her.

Her tears guilt trip him :') / +346!

Confusion struck his core; clearly something had upset the fragile like female, for she seemed to helplessly whimper her distress, but no matter what, he could not deduce what was the cause of her sorrow; and that itself disturbed him... more than it probably should. It wasn't as if he saw himself as some angelic prince arriving to save the day, for he knew too well that such characters only belonged in tales, no one held such pure intentions and had such good will, nothing so innocent and pure could last long in the tainted world; everyone held some darkness within them. Still, he couldn't ignore the female, not due to unconditional kindness, but for the fact he would feel guilty leaving some strange female crying without asking if he could aid her in some way. Please, please, make it so that there is nothing I can do to help, so that I can continue on my way... The dark thought crossed his mind, but he succeed in squashing it as quickly as it came, instead he allowed himself to focus on keeping his body language relaxed and calming the female with nonsense crooning sounds and meaningless words. As the female finally acknowledge his presence she seemed... surprised? Quickly he considered what of him may have startled her, only to drop that line of thought and focus on the task at hand.

The female's firsts words were.. interesting. The question vague and so he wasn't sure how exactly to answer her, but soon assumed that she referred to his mixed heritage. Shrugging and flashing the girl a lopsided grin, he shrugged his shoulders slightly, the motion causing the black scarf around his neck to sway slightly before falling still once more. “I'm half wolf, half dog. Norwegian elkhound was the human name of my dog species, if that's what you were referring to?” he answered her, keeping a close reign on his voice as to not startle the female. Thankfully it seemed as if the female was calming down some; her crying had ceased... for now.

Her eyes opened wide as he spoke, so she hadn't imagined it? His voice wasn't anything like her mothers. He spoke of wolf and dog and human, those words meant nothing to the jackal. Looking him up and down again, she couldn't help but think... wolf and dog must be the same thing... then again she'd neve seen either. As much as she wanted to ask what those were there was a far more pressing matter.

“Um... um, what happened to your breasts... did something steal them?”

She covered up her own, looking around nervoustly. Not wanting anyone to steal hers. They were not functional, but they were still a part of her. She wanted every last bit of her. She had considerably calmed down by his words, finally coming to a conclusion that wolves and dogs were some other form of Jackals. Though his ears were far too small and muzzle to short, and body too stocky.... she had only seen her mother, so she wasn't sure what would be considered jackal like.

He will never take her seriously again.... +318!

His singular red eye stared upon the female, waiting to see if he'd correctly answered her... inquiry. No matter how he looked at the question she had asked him, he could only jump to the logical conclusion that she was inquiring about his heritage; not many had encountered Norwegian Elkhounds before and it wouldn't be the first time he'd been questioned about his dog half. Patiently he waited, still knelt down before the child-like female, possibly prepared for everything but what she threw at him next. As she spoke the words, he simply blinked a few times, considering if he'd heard her correctly, then he waited to see if she was seriously asking him such a question, only to find genuine curiosity upon the others face. Scrunching up his nose, he simply stared at her, completely dumbfounded, the silence seemingly stretching on as he tried to process the fact he'd just been asked where his breast were; and worse, if someone had stolen them. It's too much...no longer able to keep a straight face he fell backwards, his back hitting the soft dirt with a low 'thump', his arms wrapping around his stomach as he succumbed to helpless laughter, his rib cage aching in complaint, but still he couldn't help but laugh.

Eventually the laughing fit subsided and he remained sprawled out upon the floor, sheepishly looking up to the female, unsure if she would take offence at his laughter or altogether how she would react. Though to redeem himself, he attempted to gather a sense of calm and answer her question as seriously as he could... slumped across the floor as he was. “I don't have any .. breasts.. because, well. I'm not female like you, i'm male.” he paused, considering if that was enough of an explanation... never before had he been in a situation where he needed to explain gender difference to a barely-adult female.

OOC: Ok i think this was horrifying but seeing as my muse level is at a low i'll post it anyway and hope to give you soemthing much better in return.

The wolf- dog thing, whatever he was started laughing. Sira backed up a little wondering if he was crazy, looking back and forth between her, she wasn't sure if he was crazy or not. She had watched as he fell over, at first wondering if he had a stomach ache and was about to go over there but the laughter kept her at bay. She didn't know what to do at this and she watched him curiously until he stopped laughing enough to spit out a few words. She knew what a female was she and her mother were females, but the term male had never come up nor had she been told about the different genders, even her kills she couldn't investigate as her mother either started in on it and left her no room to look one over, or she would go and prepare it for the winter. She was frowning as he finally spoke, wondering if he thought she was a joke. When he said he wasn't a female but a male she game him an incredulous look.

“Oookay, what the heck is a male?”

The only difference she saw in it was that it didn't have a fe in front of it. That meant little to her other than it was different. She was a little hurt that he was laughing at her, but he was also far kinder than her mother would have been so she was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, she was sure if he continued she would just walk away..

Heh, he's soo not distracted / +372!

Upon the ground he gazed up to her, chest still rising and falling heavily from his sudden burst of laughter, a teasing smile planted on his lips. The more he looked at the female, the more and more... inappropriate thoughts passed through his head, skimming across his mind before being promptly locked away; the Jackal was a child, barely an adult and he wouldn't allow himself to have such thoughts, especially on a first meeting... but that doesn't stop her eyes from being such a beautiful colour... Thankfully the other asked him a question, giving his wandering mind something to concentrate on. Slowly he planned out his answer, carefully picking his words and choosing how best to answer the girl; clearly her parents had lacked parenting skills, for one of her age to be so unaware of the world. It was a curious thing to witness, a pretty, child like jackal, untainted by the world awaiting to be shaped and grow, to learn and witness the horrors and beauty of reality. It took him awhile to mentally finish the answer and then he began his rather poor explanation. “Males are similar to females; but often larger, my muscular, no breasts and have deeper voices” he started, the description was vague and basic, but hey, he'd never been in such a situation before and so he was just as clueless as the female in some ways.

“For a female to have a child, they need to sleep with a male. Stuff happens, things get abit hot and hey presto, the female is pregnant with her kids” it was so strange, explaining something as fundamentally basic as gender to a rather pretty stranger, but he felt that he needed to; as If he did not answer her she would ask someone else, someone maybe not as well behaved as himself. “Eeer, so basically males are just like females. They have slightly different personalities and bodies, but still kinda the same” he looked up to her, propping himself up slightly but still not bothering to get up. “Did your parents not speak of any of this?” he asked, his voice soft and kind, unsure how such a personal question may be received by the girl.

WC:238+ - OOC: She feels so stupid XD

Sira was starting to regret asking the difference between males and females, She had no idea how complex of a difference they were from each other, and then his whole spew about getting pups made her gawp at him. She blinked a little, unsure of what to say, and knew she didn't want to get into detail with this....whole stuff happens, though she was curious how children came to the world, her mother never explained nor had any more pups. She bit her lip on his question about parents, She didn't really know much about parents other than her mother used the word once as being her parent, or mother, looking down she shrugged.

“My mom taught me how to hunt, she didn't really teach me too much more than that...”

The young woman's face grew hot, but did not show its color under all her fur but it was no doubt that she was embarrassed as it seemed she should be aware of all this, looking back at Cain she wondered if he would laugh at her again, it mde her feel that she should really be alone.

“Um, I guess I should go, I don't belong here I'm sorry.”

She said and turned to head back to where she came from, back to the life her mother had provided her, it seemed that was all Sira could live up to.

Mean Cain be all a total suck-up know it all now xD / +354!

Everything about the female he had shrugged off lightly, laughed at her and not taken her the slightest bit seriously; sure, he'd answered her questions well enough, but he'd only seen the pretty face and clueless exterior, not paying much attention to how his carefree attitude towards the others ignorance of the world may effect her. Listening to the female now he realised just how rude he'd been and he slowly sat up, all the humour drained from him and his eyes soft and serious. Tilting his head to the side, he simply looked at the other in silence, considering her, debating what was right and what he should do. Part of him wanted to tell her to head home to her mum and continue her sheltered like; that would be the smart and least bothersome thing to do, she was a stranger, some barely turned adult whom wasn't his offspring and by no means his responsibility, but the fact that the girl had headed out alone spoke of her wishes, clearly the girl wanted to learn and experience the world and escape from her past life. That or he was putting one and one together and getting ten, but looking at the situation that was the conclusion to reach. “And who says you don't belong here?” he asked her, keeping his voice mellow and quiet so not to startle nor upset her.

“Ya know, you can belong wherever you want and do as you please and you shouldn't let others tell you otherwise” he spoke the sentence and then reconsidered. “Although basic courtesy and manners applies regardless of the situation and where you are” he smiled at that, finding humour in telling another to follow customs and manners, neither of which he paid much heed to. “What is it you want to do? Surely you have somewhere you wish to go, something you wish to see or maybe something you want to learn about?” he was unsure on what to do and why he spoke the words, it just rubbed him the wrong way that the girl was so sheltered and untaught of the world.

WC:266+ - OOC: stop being so emotional gawd Sira!!

She stopped at his question, trying to be strong and not cry again, biting her lip, she turned to face him, though her eyes were down at his feet than focused on his eyes. The answer was easy. She just wasn't sure if he would start laughing at her again, she wasn't sure of anything. Takinga deep breath, she said in a shaky voice.

“My mom... my mom said I would never survive outside our forest, that I was nothing, I couldn't do anything right...”

She said. He continued on speaking, and her ears perked slightly. Though after a little while he spoke nothing but gibberish, he did finally ask a question that hit right deep down inside her, looking over the landscape that she had just seen with her own eyes she turned back to him.

“My only thought was getting away from my mom, I … I didn't know how hard it would be...”

She said controling her breathing so she wouldn't cry in front of him. Not again, she wanted to look strong, not like a weakling. She could, after all, hunt for her own food, so she wouldn't starve, but she knew of nothing more than that, the instinct to live, and she knew there was far more to life than that, but she didn't know where to start, and wasn't sure why she was waiting for him to help her, though part of her wanted to run, a bigger part hoped he would want to help her rather than tease her like ha had in the beginning.
