Walk with me in Hell

Conri didn't have time to look back, he only ran, knowing that the larger male would soon be after him. Unfortunately, he wasn't that educated on the layout of the Inferni lands, so he made many random twists and turns, rather hoping that he would end up somewhere that would give him an advantage. Eventually, he could hear the larger male behind him and that was about the time that he broke through the trees, coming face to face with an unknown body of water. Turning, just long enough to see the larger male growing near, Conri jumped, hitting the water with a smack.

indent Gabriel heard a splash, and soon saw why—the stranger had either leapt or fallen into a stream that had perhaps doubled due to the rainwater over the past few weeks. Balking, he skidded to a stop, nearly tumbling in himself. The fury that made his fur stand on end was not enough to force him into the muddy stream (though it looked like a small river, by this point) after his prey. Instead, the hybrid let out a series of warning barks; they were coyote-like, but deeper. That done he turned, still agitated, and stalked off into the forest.
