All to Chance

fyi...I really suck at starters. Near Southern Border of Inferni, The Dampwoods, 10am~ish. Rurik is in optime form.

If one were to ask him why he had ventured north rather than south or east, where he normally stayed, then he would tell them it was out of curiosity. Rurik had never gone very far north, or very far period. To date CdA was as far as he has been, and that hadn't turned out very well. The encounter with the man from CdA was still fairly fresh in his mind, and his back and shoulder tingled a bit when he thought about it for too long, reminding him of the bite and slash wounds he had received. They had closed now, thanks to the help of a random woman he had happened across by nothing more than purest luck. All that was left of the two wounds was a pinkish scar running from his shoulder to half way across his back where fur wouldn't grow back in, and a few pink spots on his left shoulder from the man biting him. Although his wounds were fixed, his cloak was still slashed and he only had one shirt left after making a make-shift bandage out of his other one.

This was another reason he had ventured closer to a pack, Inferni if he remembered correctly, than he normally would. He was hoping to find someone to trade with, or steal from if it came to it. He would like to avoid the second one, but if it came to the other having something he wanted and they didn't want to trade him for it then he didn't see how it could be avoided. Although there were somethings he wouldn't trade with, like his black bow staff that he was using as a walking stick, or the katana resting on his left hip, or his dagger on his right leg, or the golden chaos necklace that had been his mothers that shone in the early morning sun light against his gray shirt and dark brown cloak. He might trade for the pack he had on his back, but it would be a stretch.

Along with a trader, he was looking for a pack to join. After his encounter at CdA he knew he needed to join a pack. Had he already been in a pack he wouldn't have had to stumble around for 2 days hoping to find someone to help him, he could have gone back to the pack to get help. He didn't want to chance death from infected wounds again, or death at all if he could help it. He knew it wasn't likely that he could join Inferni. He vaguely remembered something someone told him a long time ago about Inferni being coyotes or something. He couldn't remember who told him, but that part didn't matter, he wasn't interested in joining in Inferni anyways. All he wanted to to was find someone willing to trade with him.

It wasn't that bad :3
Both pups are orange furred with deep blue eyes, they are both slightly see through as well. Makhesthai has only half an ear, is covered in scars and has a large bald patch on his throat, he is in optime form. Victory is noticably smaller than Makhesthai and is in her lupus form, she has no ears at all, and is also covered in scars, she is missing the last 5 inches of her tail and also her right rear leg.

Two orange furred streaks flashed through the dappled shadows of trees and foliage, occasionally one would slip and fall and tumble through a tree only to emerge on the other side completely unharmed. Makhesthai smiled, his sister was with him again, as poor as her pitiful life had been, he was trying to make up for it now in the time she spend with him as a ghost. Victory's squeals and laughter made the confusion of his soul reforming worthwhile. He didn't care if he had been sent her for a purpose or not, all he cared of was the younger sibling he was tasked to watch over and take care of.

The two played together happily in the gradually lightening morning, small yiips and yaps as they engaged in puppyish behavior for the first time in both their lives. The majority of their actual lives having been spent cowering in fear or attempting to feed themselves with whatever they could find. Quite suddenly the pair stumbled to a half in front of a large man and Victory hid behind her larger brother even though no one could ever hurt her again. If the man had any fear of ghosts or the dead then he was in for a shock, Makhesthai stepped forwards,

"You lost mister?"

I'm just not hittin' on much in the RP section xD

As Rurik roamed around threw the trees, he thought he heard the sound of yapping pups. He shrugged it off to his close proximity to the Inferni. He ddin't care if there were pups running around, it's what pups did after all; they ran around. However, as he continued walking he noticed that their noise seemed to be getting closer and closer. He stopped just before they tumbled in front of them. As soon as he saw they he noticed how alike they looked, so he assumed them to be bother and sister. The smaller one hid behind the larger one, meaning he was probably older. The next thing he noticed was that they seemed to be from an abusive family, judging by the missing parts of ears and numerous scars. After all this, he noticed that he could faintly see the girl threw the boy, and that he could see the ground faintly threw her.

He took a step back away from them, nervous. He had never seen a ghost, but the stories his step-father had told him never ended well when they involved ghosts. No, I'm not lost... He said, eying the two carefully. There really wasn't much he could do if they wanted to hurt him, but he would definitely try. He wasn't sure what to say to them, so he decided to ask an obvious question. Are...are you two ghosts? Or am I just seeing things again?" It wasn't exactly uncommon for Rurik to imagine things if he was too sleepy or hungry, but he seriously doubted that this was the case here.

The man they tumbled to a stop in front of took several steps back away from them, he was scared of them? Makhesthai tipped his head to the side in confusion, through the body of him Victory shivered a little, she didn't like the big fierce looking man even if he did look like he wasn't angry. The blue eyed child optime took a few steps forwards and reached out towards the man as though to reassure him that they wouldn't hurt him,

"Yes we are. Our mother killed us." While this was not technically true it was close enough to the truth, had Diablo wanted to she could have killed Makhesthai as well as victory and Strength and Knight. Though as Makhesthai's ghostly fingers touched with the man's skin the child felt himself drawing up and together and closer before sinking in through the pores. He cried out from shock only to find out it was not his voice that came out and not his body that moved.

Then it was over and Makhesthai was on his knees back in his origional position, panting hard as though he had just run a marathon, his sapphire eyes were wide with fear and Victory whimpered.

OOC Here!/### words

Rurik gasp a bit when the child not only confirmed that he was a ghost, but how he came to be a ghost as well. He would have been outraged at the mother, had it not suddenly felt like someone dumped him in a tub of ice water. As soon as the ghost-child touched him the world pitched violently and tilted left and right. He heard his voice being used and his limbs moving, but he wasn't the one doing it. Fear over came him and he tried to run, to get away, but he couldn't, as he was no longer in control of his body. That is, until the child left him. When he did, the world was suddenly still and warmth returned to him. He felt backwards, away from the two ghost, wide eyed with fear and shock. "G-get away from me!" He shouted, and scrambled to his feet to dart away. Direction didn't matter, as long as he was away from them.
