Crows and Sunflowers

Kiara had done a lot of traveling over the past several weeks but most of the traveling had been farther south. When Kiara had first come to Nova Scotia, she noticed a field of sunflowers off in the distance, but had stayed way in favor of joining the Ichika no Ho-en pack (though she didn't know that would happen at the time). Now, Kiara decided to check out the field of brightly colored flowers. When Kiara reached the sunflower field she couldn't believe her eyes. The tall stalks rose above the arctic wolfs head and from within the field, birds could be heard chattering amongst themselves.

An evil grin flashed across the young wolf's face as she contemplated all the mischief she could accomplish. Without anymore hesitation, Kiara crept into the field to search for the unsuspecting flock of birds. The she wolf's matted paw treaded silently across the cool ground as her ears flicked from side to side in order to locate the unsuspecting birds. Finally, targets spotted. A large flock of crows were only a few rows away from the huntress. Kiara tightly coiled her muscles and with a loud bark she leaped towards the surprised birds.

Feathers and dirt were whipped into the air as the scared creatures desperately tried to wing away from Kiara. With a huge grin across her face, the young wolf began to leap into the air to take a swat at any birds that were low enough to hit. Some of the black crows had decided to land back in the sunflower field aways off. Kiara quickly chased after the birds hoping to catch the birds and possibly even eat one.

Sam is in Lupus!Pardon my fail XD

It had been so long since Samantha had shifted to Lupus. The immense joy of being able to run on all fours was rather satisfying. The wind flew through the ivory girl's fur. The sunflowers all around caught her attention, and she was rather confused. She didn't know that flowers still bloomed far into October. But Sam didn't know about all of the flora and fauna of Nova Scotia, she was used to the tropical plants back in Rio. Sam was awestruck for the moment, until she heard rustling in the field. Keeping her ivory canvas parallel to the soft ground, Sam crept up. The scent was that of Kiara Amarok. One of the ichika wolves. Sam grinned and crept up closer. When she was close, she lept at the wolf (but not trying to pounce or knock her down) just to scare her or fake a pounce. "Hey Kiara, how's it goin?" She whispered as she joined in on chasing the birds.

Sam wagged her tail in a friendly manner. "Mind if I join?" She giggled and kept her sea green eyes on the crows. Kiara was a rebel, fun in every way. Sam knew that this would be entertaining. When she saw Kiara chasing the crows, after squacking and flapping their wings, they returned to the field. "Silly birds... Soon the chase would be on and the field erupting birds.

Sorry, forgot about the flowers. Though according to one site I found they have been known to bloom in october! Must be a good year for sunflowers! ^_^ Sorry for the short post.

Kiara didn't even notice Samantha come up from behind her and yelped in surprise when the luperci suddenly leapt out from the sunflowers. Kiara turned around to face Samantha, happy to see a friendly face. The young wolf had not gotten to know a lot of the wolves in Ichika but recognized Samantha. Kiara crept closer to the she wolf and bent low to whisper in return, Hey Samantha, did notice you. Kiara looked at Samantha and saw how she was in her lupus form. Most of the luperci Kiara had encountered remained in their optime form so Kiara became curious as to how the change came about. However, now was not the time to ponder such things as there were birds to scare. Kiara turned her sapphire eyes towards the spot where the black birds had landed. I always welcome a partner in crime. How bout we turn this into a contest. Lets see who can scare the most crows without making them fly out of the field. Kiara tilted her head in the direction of the fields edge. It would be hard to shepherd the birds and would make for an exciting challenge.
