Terra was glad to hear that she wasn't the only one uncertain about winter. Then again, Liam had family to group with while she didn't. Watching the puppies tumble around Terra laughed. They were so adorable! With a bat of her paw Terra knocked Lottie to the ground when she pounced. Playfully she growled at the pup, wanting to play with them. Her movement was limited though, so she couldn't roll around.

Glancing back at Liam Terra smiled. You mean like a last feast before everyone splits up? Storing food was a foreign concept to her as raw meat tends to go bad after a week or so. Her stomach was strong, but that didn't mean she was going to willingly poison herself unwittingly. When she'd eaten meat that was a couple weeks old Terra had spent the rest of the day puking it back up. She really didn't want to repeat that.

With Skoll and Lottie dancing around her, trying to knock her over, Terra walked over to Hati. He was more shy than the other two pups. Careful not to injure him Terra sniffed the pup over. She wasn't really good with puppies, though she did like them. It probably had to do with the fact that she'd never seen any puppies after she stopped being one herself.

Liam watched with a protective eye as Terra and Lottie played for a moment. Skoll and Hati lingered behind for a moment, glancing at Liam occasionally. “What do you mean 'splits up'? No one's going anywhere...” the boy said, confused. Well, Anann and her mate had left for a new pack a little up north but otherwise Liam wasn't aware of any splitting up. He assumed she was just used to that kind of lifestyle – after all, she had only been here a couple weeks.

But she was also wrong about the food – they wouldn't be having a big feast. “Nah, we're storing it for winter. Remember the cellars we went to the other day after our hunt? There's a smokehouse that allows us to keep the meat cold. That way it doesn't go bad for a lot longer.” he informed her.

Soon enough Skoll had joined his sister in the little game they'd created – attempting to make Terra fall over. Hati lingered behind though, looking a little distrustful of the older female. As Terra went and sniffed him, Liam smiled. “She's nice – don't worry, bro.” he said to the younger boy. Hati glanced at Liam; the fact that his big brother thought Terra was nice improved his trust greatly. “Liam can you play too!?” Lottie asked the moment the attention was no longer on her, but on Hati. She quickly bounced over to nibble at her brother's leg. Liam smirked as he bent down on his knees, his furry hands tickling his sister's underbelly.

The pups were so cute! Lottie tackled Liam playfully, causing Terra to laugh. Liam was usually so secure, it was amusing to watch him make a fool of himself. Still, she was a little confused. It was nice they could store food, but what did he mean they wouldn't break up? You know, go into smaller groups so it's easier to find food. It's easier to feed a small group than a large one. How can you stay together during winter? The more she heard the easier it was to believe that Terra had joined a group of mad canines. If they thought they could survive winter in a large group they were crazy.

Laying down so it would be easier for the pups to play Terra nosed at Skoll. The pup tumbled over with a push, before he leaped back at her, tiny teeth tugging at her ear. Shaking her ear Terra licked the pup, covering his face in drool. Lottie jumped in at that point, pushing Liam towards Terra, or at least trying to.

Liam always loved playing with the pups, especially now that they were getting a lot bigger and it wasn't so easy to squish them and hurt them. They were growing so fast – at almost two months they were getting bigger and somewhat stronger! Nothing close to Liam's size or strength of course, but they weren't the tiny pups they'd been the first time Liam had seen them. He remembered that day well; how his heart had swelled to accommodate the three new spots that now belonged for every one of them. They were all rough and tough, and when they ganged up on their older brother, Liam often found himself struggling to gain the upper-hand. Sometimes he wondered if Robin had been training them – or maybe his older sister 'Mara. It wouldn't surprise him either way.

Liam understood what she was saying now and he shook his head from left to right. “No, we do stay all together. We're a pack and winter doesn't change that.” he told her with a slight smile as Lottie tried to bite his ear, unsuccessfully. Liam had managed to push her onto her back and began tickling her belly again. “There's still some preys though, I think. Not all animals migrate, after all.” He had to stop talking when Lottie tried to shove him to the ground; while Liam could have easily kept from falling to the ground, he did anyway, his furry back hitting the wooden floorboard with a slight 'thud'. “Lottie,” he groaned as the little creature began licking his face. “That's for tickling me!” Lottie squealed between giggles as she pounced onto her brother again, Hati joining in. Liam glanced at Terra, who was just beside him now. “These are my siblings; you really get the whole package with 'em.” he laughed.

Terra smiled affectionately at the pups. They really were energetic, going without stop. Standing Terra joined in, pinning Liam down and licking his face before picking Lottie up and gently tossing her. Squealing the pup turned back, determined to tackle her. Will be nice to stay together. That solved her worry of spending the winter alone. Obviously food wasn't a problem for the pack here, which she found a little strange, but it was good.

With all three puppies pushing Terra staggered, falling over. Squealing they attacked her now exposed belly. She growled softly, trying to push them away without damaging them. It was difficult, as they kept on bounding back immediately. Go tackle your brother already! Willingly enough Hati turned around, hiding behind Liam. She laughed at the sight of the big eyes staring from behind him.

All of a sudden Liam was pinned down by Terra and his face broke out into a smirk. “Careful now, wouldn't want to make your injury even worse.” he said, although his words were followed with a laugh, showing that he wasn't completely serious.

He nibbled at his new friend's ear playfully, willing her to get off of him. “Yeah – we're definitely sticking together.” he said, half-laughing as Hati barked at him. Liam poked his younger brother with his damp nose, which made the little boy giggle. Liam's own laughter joined in before his attention was turned on Terra again. She seemed to really like his sister – Lottie liked Terra too, by the looks of it. But now all of the three pups were trying to push her to the ground and Liam just looked from a feet or two away, smirking to himself.

After a few moments, Hati now hiding behind him, Liam went and picked up Lottie, who squirmed in his arms. “Terra is hurt, don't be too rough.” he said to his little sister as he urged Skoll to back off. “Are you guys hungry?” he added to the three little ones. He and Terra had eaten a little but the pups hadn't. He wasn't sure how long they'd gone without food – had his mother fed them before leaving him to babysit?

Standing Terra shook her fur out. It was mussed by the pups, making it look like she'd been crawling through the underbrush. She smiled affectionately at the pups as they gathered around their big brother, complaining about their hunger. You certainly take good care of them. She wondered if she should leave so Liam could concentrate on them. With her leg Terra was just another thing he had to watch out for. Walking over Terra picked up Skoll, holding him in her mouth.

Which way to the food? Her voice was muffled by the fur, but Liam probably understood.

ooc: Eek, I was so sure I'd posted. Guess not. LOL (312 words)

Liam smirked at Terra at her words; he was grateful that the three pups were in his life. He remembered how he'd felt prior to their birth – so many mixed emotions, varying from excitement to fear. Fear that he wouldn't be getting any attention from his parents anymore because his younger siblings would be hogging all of it. That wasn't the case though – sure, his parents' attention was now divided a little more so that three little ones were added to the equation, but Liam knew his parents loved him and wouldn't abandon him. Now, almost two months later, Liam really couldn't see his life without younger siblings running around. He spent so much time with them, they occupied such a big spot in his heart. “Thanks, I try my best.” he replied, glancing down at the three wolves in their lupus forms. They weren't able to shift yet, but in four months they would. Liam was looking forward to their first shifts, almost as much as he'd looked forward to his.

Liam straightened up and ran a hand through his hair, perhaps musing it even more than it already was – his hair had always been pretty wacky, even when he was in his lupus form. He glanced at Terra again, simultaneously Lottie nibbled at his leg. Liam picked her up into his arms and ignored her restless squirming. When Terra spoke an amused smile crept onto his face. “We probably have something in the kitchen, if not then I can always go hunt real quick.” he said, dropping Lottie so that she and Hati followed him into the kitchen at a furiously fast pace, chanting and squealing intelligible words. He assumed Terra would follow with Skoll, so he didn't really glance back to make sure, already looking around, his nose working to scope out the food.

OOC: Wrap up?

Dropping Skoll in the kitchen Terra padded over to Liam, sniffing for food. There was some nearby, but it wasn't very fresh. It was a couple days old at least. Still, food was food. She nudged open the cupboard the smell had been coming from, uncovering a couple dead hares. Their skin wasn't broken, so their necks must have been broken. Terra dragged them out from underneath before tearing them open.

The puppies squealed happily, pushing each other around as they struggled to get the best of the meat. Gingerly Terra stepped around, making sure they weren't injured. She wanted to help, but wasn't too sure what to do in the situation. She was much more comfortable playing around than caring for pups.

ooc: Alright, I wrapped up Liam's end. If you want to reply, go ahead but I'm finished. =) (252 words)

Liam smiled as Terra found some food, watching with a keen eye as she dragged the hares out. The puppies were going frantic, hunger evident in their eyes – it was as though they hadn't eaten for weeks, when in all honesty they had most likely eaten a meal or two in the last twelve hours. At their age though, they were growing a lot, not to mention moving and playing a lot, therefore they needed a lot more fuel than the average full-grown adult. Liam was almost done growing but he still found himself getting hungry pretty easily. He also remembered what it was like when he was younger – especially when he was around five months. To think his siblings would be even hungrier in the near future.

When Terra opened the hares so that the tender red meat inside was present, Liam saw the three pups glance at him. “You guys go ahead.” he said. It only took those four words for the pups to go nuts, savagely tearing at the meat and quenching their hunger. Liam chuckled, glancing at Terra. “When my folks get back I'll go to the hotel and check on things there – see if I'm needed for anything. If you want, we can walk back together at that point.” he offered. Until then they could just hang around. Liam's parents were bound to come back any moment now. It wasn't often they went away for long periods of time without checking in.
