I'm not falling, I'm just flying without wings.

White ears pricked up as the splashing waves came into view. Never had Wheatley seen so much water. Or so much sand. Eyes wide, he scrambled down the dune to stand gaping on the sands. Wheatley was awestruck by the sheerness of this place. The rangy male paused, the plunged forward across the sands, to the lapping ocean that seemed to last forever. Wheatley skidded to halt at the edge of the water, tail wagging slowly. Blue eyes scanned the beach, then spotted a jutting-out rock that was further down the beach. I bet I can see better from up there! he thought, A determined look crossing his features.

White paws pushed at the sand, sending clumps of the loose ground flying. Ears back slightly, the Wheatley bounded over a clump of seaweed, then set off down the beach, his tail and fur flying in the wind. White paws thudded against the sand, sending up a spray of the grit in his wake, almost like a boat. Wheatley skidded to a halt behind the rock, then without hesitating, jumped half-way up it. His paws scrabbled for a hold on the warm stone, then finding one, hauled himself up. Wheatley paused for a moment, catching his breath, then lifted his head and gazed out to sea.

Wheatley was again inspired by the pure beauty of the sea. Thousands of waves washed along the shore, crested with white, and the faint hint of silver from the fish that swam in the cerulean waters. He sat down, and his thoughts turned to his best friend. Baxter... he thought, a vivid picture of his buddy swimming up into his mind. A sigh escaped Wheatley, and he closed his eyes, the wind ruffling her fur, and threatening to sweep the male off the rock, and down to the golden sands below.

'Ello :] hope it's ohtay for me to post here... First post an actual Inferni member... Still an outcast lols Tongue

The black hybrid blinked as the rocky shore of the beach came into view. Red-gold eyes scanned the waves with awe and the ink-pelted girl shifted into her Lupus form to run. It took a few minutes, yes, but it was worth it; Phoenix could run like the wind forever if she had the energy, which she usually did. The little coyote-wolf mix took off as soon as her forepaws hit the ground and she shrank from the bulky halfling form to the smaller, swifter Lupus shape. Grass turned to sand as she flew over the ground, slowing down as the water neared and the waves loomed.

When she was slowed down enough, she skidded, halting at a comfortable enough pace that she didn't face-plant as she usually would have. She waved her tail as her paws hit the wet sand, and she backed up a bit, looking for maybe a rock to perch on.

Damn, she thought, as she spotted a jutting rock that would have been perfect. Taken. Being shy, she didn't want to share the rock with or even approach the other canine. The feathers behind one pierced ear shifted against the scarlet dye as she flicked her ears, looking for her own rock. She kept her eyes averted as she passed the taken one, though no ill thoughts crossed her mind about the male already sitting atop the large stone. She didn't really care that much; she just wanted to be as high up as she could so that she could maybe see where the waves formed.

Helotes is not going to attack once he figures out their Inferni members so don’t worry XD / +243

Helotes body had begun to feel better, in fact, he had decided to remove the bandages from his chest and back and now was only left with the one wrapped around the base of his tail. He was still too embarrassed to remove that one, for even though the bite marks had scabbed up, the lack of fur would look horrendous, and Helotes had pride in his physical appearance. To counter act the apparent lack of tail, he had redyed his mane that morning, the majority it now crimson rather than its natural black. He had brushed his fur, removed ticks or whatever else might have decided his pelt was a suitable home, and had bathed. All in all, he look pretty sharp, save the tail thing.

With his new found self-esteem, Helotes decided he might pay Valkyrie a visit, their last encounter had been so pleasant and he decided he’d like to perhaps relive it. Therefore he had set out the beach towards the caverns, but before they came into view he noticed two lupus figures bounding through the sand. He paused, for he did not recognize them, and for a moment his hackles raised threateningly, thinking that they were trespassers. He headed towards them quickly, claws ripping into the sand with each step. If there was to be a fight, he had the advantage of the Optime form, and he was well enough healed to be able to win this time.

ooc: Zana is under their rock, for now..

Zana had been watching the gulls from the wedged in spot she had dug under the large outcrop. She had been foolish enough to have left Saol behind in the fields and even sillier to revert for once back to her smallest form. She had not taken that form in moons and in all her knowledge she had forgotten just how weak she was when trapped on all fours. It seemed though the gulls had remembered this form and had been delighted that she had invaded the beach with little protection other than tooth and claw.

She had been watching the birds for hours after having been chased to the outcrop where she had promptly dug a makeshift den and crawled back far enough to where the birds couldn't reach her. She had thought she would be stuck there all day but the sound of others about caused her to stiffen up. While she was willing to wait til dark to escape she wasn't thrilled to be discovered by her clan mates trapped in their own lands. The tiny woman lay silent, hoping they might leave sooner than later.

OOC: Heh, same here Taryn, and sorry I took a while guys.

As a particularly strong gust of wind blew, Wheatley sub-consciously tried digging his claws into the stone. It didn't work, and all he got was sore paws. He snuffled into the oncoming breeze, and caught the faint scent of others. Turning, he looked around. First, he saw nothing but sand, but then his eyes focused on a dark figure. He couldn't be sure exactly what it was, but Wheatley had his suspicions of it being a coyote. Wheatley shrugged, and turned back to the ocean. Still, he kept a ear slightly to the side to listen, just in case. He heard paws on sand passing behind him, and he supposed it to be the figure. Not wanting to be rude, he waited until the steps had passed before seeing what, or who, it was.

It was nobody he knew, and Wheatley knew he should take the chance to meet someone, but a sudden shyness stopped him. Where did that come from? he thought, averting his gaze back to the waves. Wheatley’s ears pricked again as he heard more footfalls. This time, they were further away, though at a faster gait. He noticed another difference too. Instead of the four-footed patter of a lupus, it was the two-footed thumps of a luperci in optime form. Wheatley tensed, and swung round, scanning the beach for the source of the noise. Unfortunately, he didn’t see the source, as the wind blew sand up, and almost into his eyes.

Nervously, he looked again, and still his search was fruitless. On edge, Wheatley stood up again, ready to flee or fight, whatever came up. Hopefully he didn’t need to do either.

OOC: Sooo sorry for being so late >.< I started driver's ed yesterday and that plus school plus end-of-the-trimester-homework-that-I-actually-don't-have-any-time-for takes up my WHOLE FREAKIN' DAY. ... That was a bit of an outburst. Sorry.

Phoenix passed, aware that she wasn't being watched until she was on the other side of the rock. Either the other coyote - as she suspected he was - hadn't noticed her, or just wanted to be subtler than if he had turned and watched her the whole trip around the big rock. She was somewhat grateful, but either way didn't really care, as long as it didn't seem she was being put in a spotlight of some sort.

A scent reached Nyx's nose as she passed, issuing from under the big rock. It smelled like another coyote hybrid, and, being rather flighty and not really wanting to fight, the ink-pelted canine bolted forward full-speed the moment her brain registered the scent. She didn't go very far, as she heard the heavy footfalls of a bipedal approaching the big rock, and she hadn't planned on racing halfway around the ocean anyway. She paused and turned around, determining that she was at a safe running distance and could get away if anything went wrong. She definitely wasn't used to pack life yet, and had suspicions of everyone else even though they were pack mates. She would definitely have some trust issues to fix.

HEY! He called out loudly, dominantly, in a tone that told all parties within his site to halt or else. A sudden gust of winder picked up the sand and threw it into the air like it was smoke making Helotes hesitate but soon he could see again. He was aside the rock now, and the sudden scent of Zana hit his black nose. He paused, looking for the source of the smell; it was emanated from underneath the rock. He couldn’t understand this, and he stood there shocked for a moment. There was only one reason someone would be under the ground.

Suddenly visages of Zana being ripped to shreds by these two unknown coyotes flashed past his vision and he snarled up at the coyote on the rock, pointed a sharp clawed finger at him, You! Stay right there. He then sprinted to the other side of the rock where the female had run, and quickly jumped in front of her, blocking her path.

He snarled viciously at her, showing sharp, white teeth, hackles fully raised and eyes like fire, What did you two do to Zana? HUH? Answer me now before I rip your throats out! He was angry now, if anything had happened to his little cousin he would go on a rampage until all participants lay bloody at his feet.

She believed she was growing even more doomed as the scents of others and drumming feet approached over the sands. The girl sighed and laid her head upon her paws, closing her eyes and praying that this would be all over soon and she could go back to hiding in the quiet of a beach deserted by coyotes. It seemed she would never be so lucky though. Within seconds a voice she knew very well seemed to fill the air and her own name was being thrown out as threats seemed to explode.

Lilac eyes opened quickly as she realized that Helotes was probably about to eat some poor new clan member for breakfast because of her own misfortunes and foolish actions. "Helotes, no!" She yelled out as she began to try and shove her way out of the tiny hole she'd wedged herself into. She had hoped that she wouldn't have had to show herself to the rest of the clan in this form, but it seemed that someone at least would see just how tiny she was in her feral form.

Her small body squeezed out from under the rock as the smallest member of Inferni showed herself in her smallest form. All seven pounds, nine inches of height scrambled up onto the rocks, her tail tucked between her legs as she refused to look up at those present, her ears pinned back against her skull as she waited for the laughter and taunting to begin.[/html]
