The large timberwolf had slept in a small cave he had located the night before. The scent was stale, telling him that the owner had left quite a while back, leaving him free to claim the den for as long as he wished. The loner decided that for now it would do, until he came to know what the neighbors were like. He wasn't going to stick around if he didn't like the company.
Stepping out of the cave Thoirni shook leaves and dirt from his pelt and looked out towards the rising sun. The wolf wondered just what was in store this day and he knew the only way to find out was to take the next step into the world and explore. He let out a jaw cracking yawn and began to shamble down the small pathway from his den into the woods beyond.
