Morning was on the rise, shedding off the hues of night as the first peeking light paved the way for the pre-dawn travelers. The way of the Nomad was to waste not an ounce of morning when there was so much more to see during the day. She had awakened when night was still clinging to the land, but the subtle warmth among the chill bid that morning was coming. She awakened Jaden in the same fashion she had during their excursion; a lick to the ear and a gentle coax to greet the morning. They were off not long after, taking a comfortable stride toward lands unknown.

The Nomad woman had regained her exhilaration for the unknown in the span of a few days. Her steps more excited and sure, eagerly covering ground that distanced the pair further from Ichika and Wentworth. She could breathe the air easier here, not fearing that her nostrils would be invaded by the pack border or the grey's scent. There was genuine freedom out in the wild. No responsibility, no worry. Only the fruit of the land, herself, and her cherished warrior. Such elation was enough to summon a howl of mirth from the female, but instead she simply smiled, raising her tail confidently; an assured queen of her own kingdom.

However she could still sense the worry of her companion. The nerve glances he took in her direction from time to time. It was as if her happiness worried him, yet at the same time, she had seen his face become warm to her smile. X'yrin was confused by this, but rather than address this unnerving change, she chose to ignore it, settling instead to take the path ahead with vigor. These were new lands under her paws. She could allow this wonder to be overthrown by concern and disease.

Terra stretched out before jolting awake. She wasn't in her mattress. In fact, she wasn't even on pack grounds! She'd have to travel a fair distance before she reached there. Nosing through the rubbish around her Terra realized she must have moved out from the city, leaving it behind. She hadn't paid attention to which direction though, so Terra wasn't sure if she was closer or farther from her pack.

Shaking herself Terra began trotting over the lands, thinking about breakfast. A fresh catch would be welcome, but it was terribly unlikely. Her skills at hunting were poor at best, and troublesome at the worst. Going hungry was an experience she was used to, though it took more out of her now. Terra wouldn't be able to shift without food to fuel her, at least not without a terrible price. As such she was stuck in lupine form until she ate. That didn't bother her overly much, as it was the form she had grown up in and had the most experience with. Terra had used her secui form a few times while traveling to the land, but her optime form had only been used recently after she had joined a pack.

Terra paused as she scented the wind. She didn't smell any prey, but she did smell wolves. Other canine's instincts would have screamed to avoid the encounter. She couldn't fight to defend herself and the wolves were unknown. She had other instincts guiding her though, ones that told her that even if they tried to kill her they would probably have food, and stealing would be an easy task. Terra trotted to the edge of their encampment and crouched, waiting. If they welcomed her Terra would come down, if not she would just take what she wanted. Manners had never been overly important to her.

The morning silence was brought by a shrill cry. Heavy wing beats pushed the air around a large, airborne frame lifting its rounded body higher as it surveyed the landscape. It had been silent stalker for a while, only swooping down occasionally to remind its master of its presence with a gentle nip on the ear. But now it was agitated. The owl's screeched raised the hairs on the female's back in alarm, her eyes darted upward to the diving creature. She kept her form as it was, large and bulked with muscle. Her companion landed on the broad of her Secui back, his talons raking through wild tresses of auburn to grasp her shoulders. "Careful!" Again he screeched, this time with a word the female could understand. His head swiveled around to the male wolf, crying the same to him.

X'yrin's pace came to an abrupt halt, her nose poised in the air, quivering to the scent on the wind. Her avian guide had been right to be on alert. So deep in the wild away from back lands, they would have undoubtedly encountered other kindred spirits. It was a shame they hadn't even captured a scent til now. A chill of excitement coursed down the woman's spine and her claws sank into the soft ground. She growled softly for Jaden's attention, turning to meet his eyes with a wide amber stare. "Should we announce ourselves?" she inquired, a smile gradually spreading on her lovely face. She would not sound their presence unless he agreed to it, or before the creature in their midst revealed themselves. It was clear she and the Shishen were not of the same mind about this venture, but she was willing to accommodate his preferences. If he chose to meet another, then it was just a turn to favor them both... if not, well, they had traveled this far alone without interference. What was another day with just the two of them?

Hi guys Big Grin

WC:300+

The morning air was crisp and the Knight could now see his breath with every passing morning and night. Winter was on its way. He would have to talk to Anann about the storage for winter. In Crimson Dreams he had regularly went hunting but as of late there was so much to do to prepare for joiners, rooms to be cleaned, houses to be taken apart, members to watch over, patrols to perform. There were so few hours in the day and too many things to be done. Although everyone seemed to be self sufficient, catching food when hungry, but they needed to get their act together and start a proper storage for the winter or there would be nothing left.

Leaving the fort early in the morning the large male made his way through the forests, the fields and out of the marked territory. There was a better chance of finding food outside of claimed lands. In the unclaimed lands loners only caught food for themselves, which often meant the prey had a better chance of keeping numbers up into the winter.

Sniffing the air as he walked the large brute found himself pausing. Ears perking up in curiosity the alpha sniffed once more. It seemed that he had walked into the middle of a silent stand off. A loner and someone form Ichika were stalled, waiting for the other to announce themselves. Not being one to sit around for long the giant lifted his head and let out a soft song announcing himself as friendly. Surly he others would follow suit quickly and get this over with. Taking a few steps forward again he sat himself down, waiting for the others to decide what to do as he pondered where the best prey would be. Maybe a deer would be a good start to the storage?

As soon as she heard the cry of welcome Terra perked up. Turning away from the pair below she trotted over to the wolf. Hello. What brings you out on this fine day? Curious she sniffed in his direction. He smelled of many wolves, but the scent wasn't blended enough for her to think of it as a pack. Maybe it was a traveling group, or people that he was living with. The scent was beginning to merge, so Terra didn't press about it. Aggravating a larger canine was rarely a good idea. That didn't mean she didn't do it, just that she thought about it first. Having found someone much more interesting Terra turned her back to the silent wolves below her. While she would have stolen from them if given the chance, Terra would take the easier route when presented. Being welcomed was much better.

I myself was visiting Halifax. I seem to have gotten myself turned a bit around though. Terra laughed to herself. She didn't really mind not knowing where she was, as long as she was secure for the winter. A pack was preferable, but Terra thought she could find her way back to Cour des Miracles given time. Right now though, the sun was shining and she was happy. Even with it bright and early Terra found herself ready to begin her day. Of course, that meant she would actually have to try and get something to eat. She didn't like that. Her hunting skills were lousy, so if she wasn't close to the pack she'd probably end up spending the better part of the day looking for prey. If she didn't find more convenient food that is.

Sorry for the wait everyone! Words – 500+

Jaden wasn’t really a morning person. He had gotten used to being up rather early lately with all the responsibilities of Ichika to fill his day. In the wilderness and without something to do he figured there might be some late sleeping to be had. Apparently he was mistaken. At least X’yrin awoke him pleasantly. Her calm introduction to the morning put the man in a good mood. Once they were up and about his weariness melted away and left him in a fine state.

Unfortunately Jaden’s mind wasn’t as sound. As they meandered along their path through lands unknown he found himself often plagued with worry. The idea of exploring new lands wasn’t foreign and he had no worries about their next meal or where they would sleep. There situation didn’t bother him. If anything, he really enjoyed being out with the female. His worries stemmed from that joy; he was afraid to loose her. X’yrin had an appetite for adventure and danger stronger then any wolf he had ever met. They were out and away from Ichika because it is what she craved. The female warrior had been very down before deciding on their excursion. Letting some of her newly found duties slip and loosing the lively energy she’d always seemed to have showed as much. Now most her former self had returned. What worried Jaden was that this trip would be too scintillating and fulfilling for her. If what she truly craved was the wild then what would keep her in Ichika? She had left her former family for it and Jaden felt he surely had less to offer her then they. He was afraid to loose his newest and truly closest friend to the allure of freedom and adventure.

But there was still time. Until they found the end of their undefined road, she wouldn’t have to make a choice. Until then, he could talk to her and learn more about her. Exactly what it was she loved so much about this lifestyle must be defined somehow. Maybe if he figured it out, he could simulate something similar in the confines of Ichika. It was a long shot but he was a fine archer. What else could be done?

The man had just banished such thoughts from his mind for the umpteenth time just that day when his companion’s pet pierced the air with screeches. Jaden’s ears fell back at the sound as he found it extremely irritating and disconcerting. The owl made a show of swooping down and landing on X’yrin’s back. “Careful!” It clarified its show as a warning he could understand and even turned to address the male wolf directly. Jaden watched his friend and waited for her response to the bird. When she growled lowly for his attention and proposed giving away their position, he knew she had smelt someone or something he had apparently missed on the air. The brute didn’t have to think about it long. Her always infectious smile reassured his trust in her judgment. He gave a silent nod of approval and found himself wondering how just how many more times he would see that charming smile.

Jaden does. "Jaden speaks." Jaden thinks.

X'yrin was a patient woman when it was warranted. There was no urgency to her proposal, simply an offer to either encounter to the new or leave it be and continue about their business. But her smile had won her her desired choice in the end, seeing her companion's agreeable nod. Her smile only grew whilst the tips of her paws danced with excitement upon the earth. A welcoming call reached her ears announcing yet another presence in the morning. A deep, proud tone like that of a wolf assured of his place within the world. X'yrin knew such a call to belong to distant comrades traveling the snow-capped mountains. To hear a likeness of her now made her heart lift and chest swell with unbridled joy. "Then let us not keep them waiting." She lifted her muzzle and sang a swift, yet beautiful song of her traveling spirit donned by a warrior's cloak and her blessed companion that took the road with her.

The resting owl lifted from the woman's back having felt the muscles beneath her russet pelt coil with the intent to spring forward. His speckled form ascended as the woman's own darted forward, led by excitement and the scent of their watchers. Determined limbs led her up the subtle slope of a hill lined with towering spires joined into a lush canopy. It was a wonder neither she nor Jaden was able to see their stalker outright, with the cover of the trees and brush being so thick. She trudged the path quickly, again announcing both herself and Jaden as she slipped through the brush into the woods where the lupine scents became stronger. Her avian companion found a place nestled between the trees and roosted, watching that would transpire from his impressive height, disinterested as always.

The woman's first glimpse was of a towering figure donned in black from tip to tail. X'yrin about halted suddenly in her steps, eyes wide at the stunning impression of power finely sculpted into defined muscle. The Nomad felt her tail go rigid uncertain whether to maintain a casual posture or let her tail sway freely with elation. "Oh my..." she uttered softly, her maw again parting with an adoring smile. She held the gesture as she at last looked to the smaller female, a little starved looking and rough; the garb of a wanderer that fed off the land. The Nomad had no qualms with waving her tail to the other and bid a greeting with kind eyes.

Transformation was always quick but never as graceful as some she had witnessed. It was a sound transition as muscle and bone realigned itself to cater to an upright form. Her stature was less impressive than the colossal male but was still worth the attention to her own abnormal height. She applied most of her weight to the balls of her feet having her stand lower than the confidently poised not as a show of weakness, but of preparation. Smiles and warm welcome aside, these were still strangers; unknown wolves to her and the Shishen, just as they were unknown to them. None the less, the maintained the pleasant calm offering her good will in a smile. "Good morning to you."

Very promptly after his call went into the air a strange female approached him. Her bouncy attitude reminded him a little of Dixie and left a soft smile on his face. Noting her strange dark socks the alpha felt it best not to comment on the odd coloration, choosing instead to answer her question. “Just out for a walk ma ‘me. “ Smelling the air subtly the large wolf quickly spoke more, “You’re from the Court.” It was a statement more than a question. He hadn’t seen her in the raid on the Tribe, maybe she was new? “How is the Court doing? I haven’t heard news from them in awhile.” Ever since moving from Crimson Dreams Jazper had been stuck.

At the girl’s predicament he chuckled, “Why yes, you have. Halifax is south of here.” Pointing casually in the direction she wanted to go Jazper opened his mouth to introduce himself, only to be interrupted by a small voice. Turning he looked down just in time to wait for another wolfess to shift. This one was quite a bit larger than the one he had already been talking to. Finally the wolfess finished her transformation and greeted him and the other girl. Looking past the russet women Jazper spotted a dark male, a companion of hers? “Good morning.” His soft Scottish accent rolled off his tongue as he smiled a crooked smile.

“I’m Jazper Rhiannon-Knight.” The introduction was finally out. “I’m the alpha male of Casa di Cavalieri, a new pack east of here.” He could smell that this new wolfess was of a pack, one he had never visited but knew the smell of. The scent was stronger closer to Anathema so he assumed she was from the north. Keeping silent the warrior allowed his body to relax into a friendly posture. His ears slanted back from their erect position and his tail lowered into a light wave as he looked at his company.

Terra's reaction to the newcomers was a silent glance. She knew her pelt was worn with travel, and didn't bother trying to fix it. Nothing she did could get rid of her lean look until she was well fed, something that being in a pack would allow her to try and do. Jazper's explanation of a new pack explained the mix of scents. It was a blend of canines from several lives getting used to living and working together. Terra knew that it would be difficult to manage, as even in an established pack there was trouble, and unless the leader was well prepared insubordination was a huge threat.

The court's doing fairly well. We have grown in numbers since the war ended, and our leader is returning home. While it was true there were new comers, Terra only knew of herself and the girl that she'd greeted at the borders. Her protectiveness of her pack lead her to give good news though, and the return of their leader was good indeed. While Strel had been good at caring for the pack, he had fear, and that made him a liability. Still, as long as he was protected things would be good. He had managed to put her into place after all.

Terra felt out of place as the only one to remain in lupine form, but the transformation promised to be painful on an empty stomach. Wistfully she cast her eyes towards a squirrel that had wandered near the gathering, but it would be rude to hunt in the midst of a gathering, and failing in front of strangers was not something she was eager to do.

Jaden followed in suit as X’yrin greeted their new acquaintances. A large male stood over them and prompted a quick change from both Ichikan’s into their Optime bodies but not before claiming some of X’yrin’s wonder. Her breath seemed wasted to the crimson dyed male as this other was indeed impressive in stature but little more then he himself. There was nothing overly impressive about him as long as one overlooked the odd design masking his eye. But he kept his observation to himself and shrugged off his companion’s exclamation.

Jazper’s apparent companion stood silently in response to X’yrin’s greeting. She was smallish in comparison to the tundra wolves and Jaden found her silence irritating. Often names are withheld for other reasons than simple shyness. The Alaskan took a neutral stance similar to Jazper’s and addressed him with a voice absent of wonder or anything else substantially obvious besides nutrality. It is pleasant to meet you, Jazper. The other’s odd titled pack he claimed to lead definitely rang as strange and new. Casa di Calvalieri, you say? Congratulations on your new position as leader, then. This is X’yrin and I am Jaden Ohanzee He motioned to his friend proudly. We are warriors of Ichika no-Hoen.

Once Jaden felt satisfied with his introduction he spared a glance to the silent lupus below them. And who, if I might ask, is your companion? Had he not wondered in on a conversation, the man would have assumed them travel companions just like X’yrin and himself. But, with words of a court that was growing and references to passed war, how exactly these two came to meet here was a mystery. They could have simply come into a four way meeting but the likely hood that the strangers were strange to each other seemed slim.

Pleasantries passed between them, bearing the names of each save for one that remained on four legs. Again, the female regarded the other with a smile as her name was inquired by her companion. In acknowledgement to her own name, the Nomad dipped her muzzle in a subtle bow, her loose tresses sweeping off shoulder with wild bangs veiling her eyes once more. “It is a pleasure to meet you, Master Jazper,” her spoken words hardly audible amidst the lively chatter of the woodlands. Her gentle gaze again fell upon the brilliantly toned female. “And you too, my Lady.”

A commanded respect kept her voice low and stature humble in the presence of this Alpha male, proclaimed leader or otherwise. As her head lifted and sights against settled upon his impressive size, she saw not this Knight but her Shepard in darkened form, emanating the same aura of sureness she had come to adore.

Yet his darkness bled away to only a slighter shade of grey, each blink of her captivated eyes distorting his figure more til it refined itself to a familiar form clad in steel. The Nomad averted her eyes hurriedly, disguising the action as part of her attempt to search for her avian companion that seemed lost within the dense cover. The bile of embarrassment rose to her gullet forcing the woman to swallow it down as she kept up her pretended intensions. Soundlessly, the owl swept down from his perch and onto the arm of his aimless master, hooting tauntingly in her ear as if knowing all along her failed attempt. Relieved he had played his part without making an outrageous scene, she return both gaze and smile to the towering Knight, regaining the bit of composure that had slipped from her grasp. She surveyed them both in silence, noting with curiosity that the nameless female smelled nothing like the imposing Alpha. Perhaps she had stumbled upon him as well? Subtly her lips quirked into a satisfied smile as she favored the thought of them being little more than coincidental acquaintances.

It felt good to be told that the court was fairing well, it had been present through most of his life and they had always been friendly towards Crimson Dreams. The mention of the leader returning set off a new question, “Where was he before returning?” Perhaps he was coming back from Aniwaya, but why would the leaders be there for so long after the war? Had something gone wrong? His attention returned to the other wolves in Optime forms as he male introduced himself and his companion as warriors. His ears perked at this information, “My friend and I actually hope Casa to become a home to warriors who want to fight for peace in the lands. Right now there are few of us warriors there but everyone has a job which benefits the pack.” He had hoped that more warriors would have come by now, but instead loners of various backgrounds banded together beside himself and Anann, which he was grateful for but still he needed for fighters.

There was a sense of discomfort within the Knight as he noted the female’s gazes going up and down his body. He was aware of his own size and that he was not the least attractive of the males he had come upon in his life but he was not sure of the other male’s relation to X’yrin and thus was left speechless. Answering Jaden’s question Jazper spoke up, his Scottish accent a little thicker in his discomfort with the females gaze, “I don’t know.” He was about to ask her when a bird, an owl to be exact, swept down onto the red haired wolfess’s arm. His gaze quickly went from the bird to the girl, “You train birds?” He questioned. It was rare for someone to keep a bird as a pet, horses sure, but birds were something completely different. Only once before had he known a wolf to take a liking to the flying sort of pet.

In reply to Jazper's questions she simply flicked her ears back. Terra didn't actually know where he'd been, just that he'd been gone. She knew that he was coming back, but the details of it were unknown to her. It was embarrassing to be caught without the knowledge, and at the same time couldn't deny it. If it appeared she was withholding information they could swiftly turn on her, and not all the speed in the world could save her.

They were really interested in her name, which made Terra quite uncomfortable. Giving out a name when there was lack of trust was simply asking for trouble. Her instincts screamed at her to remain silent, but she had to give something. The female had responded rather strangely to Terra, not in a way that rubbed her wrong, but unlike the hostility in her companion the warrior seemed to respect Terra. The source of that she couldn't fathom, especially as she was granted a title. A name would be given though.

She bobbed her head shortly before the gather. Her posture wasn't submissive in any way, claiming equal grounds with the others. My name is Fleta. It was a name she'd used before when traveling. It kept her identity hidden, and her unrelated to the actions. They might be able to place her smell, but asking for Fleta would be useless as the girl was far away back in Terra's birth pack.

ooc: For the sake of moving this on, I'll have Jaden be silent til his player returns from hiatus, or til we end.

Momentary mental lapse was forgotten once a topic more suited to her interest came to life within the small gathering. Once given the name of the young she-wolf, X’yrin again smiled and dipped her head in acknowledgement. “A pleasure.” Yet her eyes fell upon the male again, shamelessly wandering his form whilst recollection of his words resounded in her ears. A pack or warriors. The Nomad certainly did not lack the enthusiasm upon hearing such a delight. Envisioning such a pack was like seeing a larger family of the Exultare in her mind’s eye. A vast number of individuals of strength and ability coming together for the betterment of each other and themselves… a pack of weathered and experienced souls… of unique skill and art… of scars and wounds that told stores of their overcome of danger.

Her fanciful dream was however shattered by her owl’s appearance garnering the Knight’s attention to it than herself. “If I could train birds, I would teach this one not to be as annoying,” she replied with a soft chuckle. Quickly she dropped her arm forcing the owl’s talons from its perch to hastily span his great wings and keep himself aloft just long enough to drift upon her left shoulder. “But we have a system,” she continued. “Slowly he comprehends… but I needn’t do or say much for his assistance. Truth be told, by culture does not permit the domestication of animals… not even the large beasts I have seen others ride. We believe that if a creature is meant to be tamed, it will want to of its own accord and come to look upon their companion as ‘friend’ instead of ‘master’.”

And of its own will the bird was aloft again, stretching his wings to their fullest to push against the air and glide the short distance from his prior perch to the developed shoulder of the Knight.

At last the lupus female spoke a name and Jazper added his own small bow “It’s nice to meet you Fleta.” He found it odd that she did not know where her leader had been, maybe he had been gone for only a short while or she had joined after he left. At some point or another he would have to go to the other packs himself and find out the latest news from all. It was good for him to get out of the pack while he could. Anann was more than capable of taking care of things in the fort, heck, most of the pack was reliable enough to hold their own without leaders watching their every step regardless. Even still, the thought of home kept the leader wondering if everything was all right without him.

Jazper had thought about having a pet for a long time, ever since he was a pup he had been interested in the world around him and the animals within it. However, he was a hunter at heart, a fighter and a dominator and because of this he could not see himself keeping any animal he could eat as a companion. Perhaps he would learn to ride horses better some time in his life, as he was willing to admit they could be a large help for traveling while carrying items, but they were not to be befriended, only trained and used like cattle.

X’yrin’s birds were impressive and the warrior understood her message, nodding along and listening with bright yellow eyes full of curiosity. He wasn’t one to shut out another’s thoughts and took pride in opening himself up to other’s ways of living for the sake of knowledge and understanding."I don't keep any animal's myself but a lot of my pack members own horses." Suddenly the large bird took flight and made it’s way down onto his own shoulder, the extra weight still light to the large male. Chuckling a little he sighed, “Needed a little more room did we?”

Terra laughed lightly at X'yrin's comment. She found the owl rather amusing, and the fact that it didn't obey even more so. She didn't think of pets the same way the other canines of the region seemed to. Other species were simply food or not food. The owl had the luck of falling under not food. As it flew into the air Terra pushed herself onto her hind legs, balancing there for a moment as she watched the owl.

Terra promptly dropped back down as the bird landed on Jazper's shoulder. She felt a little jealous, wanting to play with the beautiful bird herself. It wasn't her style to push on others though. Lie, steal, and manipulate Terra could handle, and used all the time. Pushing what she wanted was something else entirely. Terra knew enough about the world to respect other people, especially when they could kill her with a single blow.

Yawning Terra reached up and scratched behind her ear. What brings you out here? I came out to explore myself. The long travel had changed the girl more than she was willing to admit. Pack life, while something that Terra would remain with as long as possible, now battled with her innate need to travel. She compromised. When Terra found herself useful to the other pack members and needing a rest, Terra stayed inside the pack. When being troublesome and restless she headed out to bother those that weren't associated with the pack, keeping herself in good terms and trouble away from the pack.

ooc: Shall we wrap this up everyone? Smile Feel free to assume she and Jaden left after your posts.

“Horses, sir?” The she-wolf inquired with an amused trill to her voice. Truly it wasn’t that hard to fathom, but envisioning a band of warriors on beasts they could devour was nothing short of amusing in her eyes. Those four-legged creatures were hardly anything the woman would consider attempting to tame… let alone ride when her nameless companion was more than a handful for her. And what purpose did they serve other than to further distance the civilized wolves from their primal roots. She supposed it was a matter of preference, really.

The owl hooted softly upon the giant’s shoulder before again spreading his wings to take flight a return to the outstretched arm of his handler. His razor talons gently graced the limb before his weightless body hobbled to her shoulder and again found his sturdy perch. “Well sir Knight,” her tail swayed fondly at the name. “Should our paths meet again and you find yourself a nuisance like this one, I would be glad to teach you to speak to it. Or perhaps coax it to hunt for you.” Her amused smile never waned, not even when the mentioned nuisance struck the side of her head with a speckled wing. In turn she grabbed the appendage and held it lightly between her fingers silently urging him not to be showy again for the sake of his ego.

When the young Fleta addressed her and her Shishen, she released her umber grasp and gave the girl her full attention. “My companion and I are exploring as well. But this is more of a hunting party to bring back an early stock for our home.” An ear twitched thoughtfully as she recalled the reason for their early rise. So wrapped up in conversation as well as the enthusiasm for meeting new faces, the thought about left her mind. “Which reminds me, my friends, we will have to continue onward. But surely this will not be the last time we meet each other…” Her soft amber gaze returned purposefully to the obsidian giant, lingering on golden sights before granting the young female with the same courtesy.

After asking a for Fleta’s name, Jaden didn’t speak much. The conversation itself seemed to take a turn away from everything to do with Jaden and he was fine with that. The unimpressive male and the prone-to-silence Fleta didn’t seem to have anything overly important to say anyway. They simply conversed pleasantly with his fellow Ichikan and admired her bird.

Once the Owl seemed to be finished fluttering itself about a question was somewhat directed in Jaden’s direction to which he still gave no answer. Silence was something that could be settled into and he had grown comfortable letting X’yrin speak. She explained briefly their exploration and hunting plans. She then drew the meeting between them all to a close. They had wasted enough time here. His companion said a pleasant goodbye and he followed it up by clearing he throat to break his personal silence. It was pleasant to meet you both. Good luck on your travels and with your new pack, Jazper. He nodded kindly with respect to Jazper and managed to do the same for the other female. After that, he looked to X’yrin for an indication of when she was ready and waited for her to take her leave before following.

Jaden does. "Jaden speaks." Jaden thinks.
