tangled in those dreams [p]

I hope you still wanted to have a thread. I’m SO SORRY it took this long. >_____> For pearrrrl! Set on the northern part of the pack’s claimed coastland.

Little Eli wasn’t so little anymore. He must have gone through some major growth spurt because the pup felt surer on his feet and had gotten larger. His feet and head were still disproportionately larger than the rest of his body; surely he would look like a pup for much longer yet. The pair had gotten quite close; Ezra still kept a close eye on his son despite his rapid growth. There were still scary things that could hurt the boy and Ezra didn’t want anything that went bump in the night to scare the only thing left he had left in his life.

Everything had fallen apart. Ever was gone, he was sure of it. The realization hit him like a spray of bullets every time he found himself thinking about her. He missed her compassion, her love, her everything. There was quite a large, gaping hole in his chest that made it difficult to breathe. He still couldn’t understand why she left in the first place. She had given a beautiful, innocent child life and even though only one pup survived Eli shouldn’t have been blamed for his sibling’s death. The child was truly a ray of light in Ezra’s life; without him, he would be in a much darker, dangerous place. He didn’t dare think about what life would be like if he was truly alone.

Together, the pair was going nowhere in particular today. Eli had taken to his father’s habit of running, which the Major was pleased with. The duo set off and followed the beach from their bungalow directly north. Ezra tended to head west most times, but he wanted to show his son somewhere new today. The north was an unexplored territory and the two males were determined to conquer it. Ezra urged his son on with a game of tag, laughing as the pup attempted to keep up, sand flying behind them.

Pearl had gone to the northern part of the territory to explore. She really liked to be in this pack. They were all nice but she had admittedly been shy. So she didn’t really know many people. She had met a few but not more than once or twice. She had been busy cooking stuff, trying out different methods and ingredients.

When she arrived, she found a sandy beach and she felt the urge to dance. It was her main hobby after cooking and in some ways enjoyed it more. It let her be creative while still allowing her to move and was actually hard work sometimes. So she started to hum and then twirl and move her legs and arms.

She soon was moving without humming and was in her own world. But she could hear things around her. The most prominent was the waves, which she used as her music. But she could also hear two sets of paws running, an adult one and a lighter one that must have come from a child. She kept dancing but swirled to see two figures come towards her. She slowed and watched them since she didn’t quite know them.

omg its too early to be making any coherent sense I apologize for this shitty post.

Ezra’s mammoth frame quickly enveloped their son as they finally came to a screeching halt, the two bursting into a fit of giggles on the sandy beach. Ezra had tackled Eli, licking his face as he curled around his son. The two had rolled together from the force of the sudden stop. Finally content, Ezra looked at his son happily. There wasn’t any more the hybrid could ask for in life. It was days like these that kept him going.

The Major hadn’t noticed the female initially. She was curiously staring back at Ezra and was dancing rather slowly on the beach a ways away. Rolling over onto his side, the secui man looked over, duo-toned eyes carefully inspecting her. She was part of the pack, that was for sure, but he hadn’t seen her before. She was quite pretty, too; her figure reminded the major of Sage, and vaguely wondered where that lady had run off too lately. “Fancy day for a tackle, isn’t it?” the major said with a grin. He didn’t know what else to say but wanted to share his high spirits with the lovely coyote lady before him, if she so desired.
