FIRST
Svara lay as a wolf on her side in the high pasture grasses. The cool fall air drifted over her coat and lifted the red hairs gently releaving it of any heat she had felt before. Her breathing was slow and tranquil as she naped lightly enough to wake if danger was near. She was close to the border, the horses could be heard from where she lay their wickers distant, but still heard. She'd only been home a week, and she had encountered Leroy and Jac, a boy, and Ayita. All of them thought she would never return, it was dispicable to think how little faith they had had in her. Not once did the red she wolf think she deserved their skeptical ways.

Lifting her head she nipped at her belly to relieve it of a bug before groaning and letting her head fall back to the earth. It was late afternoon and the sun was drifting closer to the horizon with every hour. It teased her as it got closer and closer to becoming night. One day over, only the rest of life to live. Her belly rose and fell with each breath, the scars moving with each intake of air. How easy it would be to stop breathing, but that would require her to give up this war entitled "Life". Svara didn't have it in her to quit, not ever.

A sound of movment made her ears twitch, her paws shifted ready to lift her weight if it moved closer. The sound only got closer. Rolling to her belly and then onto her paws the red bitch pinned her ears as she took a few steps towards the sound. The grass was tall almost enough to hide her, but just short enough to reveal her back. Stalking with light steps on long legs she found the source of movement in an orange and black pelted male. Svara's ears perked as she watched him from a distance. He hadn't entered the territory so there was no need to adress him, not that she would even if he did. As the packs omega she didn't even attempt to poke her nose in their affairs. They had made it quit clear she wasn't welcome to either. All the better since she liked trouble anyways. Her yellow eyes watched the male with interest from her position.

SECOND

If only he understood. Her breath was hot in her lungs this close to him, it was wild and untamed. The loss of control in her life was what made her change her style so drastically. The collar, a symbol maybe? Or was it more then that? A simple sign of her stataus that she couldn't let go of now? Her breath was hot as it escaped her lungs and out her mouth. The grin was still on her face as he spoke to her, Yellow eyes still watching with a dule stare conveying bordum. There was no boredum in this situation.

His words did not escape her. Out of everyone she believed he was one of the only ones who had truely liked her for who she was before she left, not that that was some condolence to her, it just was. Still she accepted the information with an open mind that he might still be what she was looking for... Svara watched as he squated down his heat invading her own. A noise caught in her throat wanting to emerge and let him know of her saticfaction.

His hand hooked on the collar. The grin had faded to a calculating face mixed with thought and intelligance. His words conved his feelings about the leather collar. Grinning sadistically again Svara stuck her face closer to his. "Something like that. If it bothers you so much, take it off." Her tone was husky and low her yellow eyes lighting up with new fire. Already her body was urging her on for more. She expected him to work, if he didn't she didn't know what she would do.

THIRD

Svara walked along the sands still a little irritated with Jacquez. It wasn't as if he had done anything wrong, but she was lonely and he hadn't fixed what she had hoped he would. Wasn't really his fault that her ego was in pieces. Still the red she wolf refused to go to Leroy to find her comfort. Her ex-mate would only make it an ordeal and she didn't want that at the moment. Pushing a hand through her bangs she let a rough sigh ease past her lips. What was she going to do about her ego? Looking down at the scars she already knew what it felt like to be considered ugly.

The scent of Ruri made her stop. Concern for the blind girl made Svara move in that direction. Her long pony tail moved behind her with her swift turn in that direction. She found the girl sitting on the Cabin steps. She had stopped living here after the pack had been formed and Leroy built her a house. It would be time that Ruri moved into the house with them and got her own room. With out a word she came and sat down beside the blind girl on the steps. This close to her Svara's heart stopped at what she smelt. It couldn't be what she thought. Why did the girl smell of Haku soul!

"Ruri...Who have you spoken to lately? I need to know it's important." The constables voice was demanding, but not to harsh to the girl. Why was his smell on Ruri? It would mean he had to enter their lands, Ruri wouldn't leave the pack lands. Had he come to find if she had lived? Svara was sure he had heard from others that she had survived, maybe Cwmfen?

Welcome to 'Souls!

Congratulations! You've been accepted into the craziest bunch of roleplayers on the vast Internet! We encourage you to keep checking out our information; you can find a wealth of it on the RP Guide. Don't feel pressured to read it all at once -- the guide is a huge resource and is meant to be used as a reference.

If You've Joined the Game As a...
  • ... Loner, do begin considering which of the packs you'd like to join. Survival as a Loner is less realistic -- wolves and other canines are generally social creatures, preferring to live in a pack structure!
  • ... IC pack joiner, you can now begin posting -- you may start your IC pack joining thread whenever you're ready. Make sure you check the pack information to see if the leadership requires anything extra from you!
  • ... OOC pack joiner, the leader still has to respond here before you can start roleplaying -- don't worry, though; if you're rejected from the pack you'll be titled as a Loner, and you're free to pursue other packs or the same one later.
Post-Joining Process
Mandatory:
  • Make an In Character post within five days. Post a thread request to get started, or consider starting or replying to an open thread.
  • Please let us know in the Absentee Thread if you plan to be absent for more than four days.
  • Keep reading! While there's only a minimum of three topics you have to read to join the game, we provide a wealth of information for a reason -- we expect players to read and reference this material often while they roleplay at 'Souls.
Preferred:
  • If you're leaving us, please try to let us know in the Player Updates forum. There is no penalty for leaving; you're free to re-join at any time later.
Still Need a Bit of Help?

Post any questions you may have in the Questions and Help forum. Check the FAQ first, though! The Mentors can assist you with writing, roleplaying, and understanding 'Souls concepts. Failing all else, contact a staff member.

If you need help getting adjusted to your pack, you should talk to your pack leader! They can help you to understand the pack's rank system and how to get a better rank, as well as direct you to plots, potential thread partners, and active members of the pack who may be interested in engaging you.
