The Trees Have Ears

.: OOC :. Please allow Zana to post first. PP of Zana at the beginning.

It was at dusk that the two had set out, Helotes in his Lupus form and Zana in her Secui. They were nearly the same size like this, and they moved as one, shoulder to shoulder, as they exited Inferni territory. Tonight they were going to have a bit of fun and see if they could scrounge up any info from the Anathema pack. This spying trip was to test their mettle both in stealth and patience, for it may mean hours spent lying in one place in silence. Still, Helotes was quite jazzed up about the whole prospect of sneaking about undetected on another pack’s land.

Helotes glanced over at Zana, adoring this form he was seeing her in for the first time, she nearly looked normal here, still on the small side but nothing out of the ordinary. Though Helotes loved Zana in all forms, this one made him realize that sometimes he wished she was his size at all times. Shaking his head slightly to rid himself of these thoughts, the two of them pressed onward, swiftly moving south towards Anathema.

They had discussed that if they were to find any useful information on this trip that they would report back to Ezekiel, otherwise this was just a bit of fun for them, especially Helotes, who had become more and more jaded and bored. Almost there I think. He whispered as the scents began to change, smelling less like woods and more likes wolves.

ooc: Sorry, at a con, just saw this thread.

ic: Zana's gate flowed like water over the lands, a gentle ripple in the grasses and little more than pawprints and whispers to tell the world she had been there. Helotes movement beside her was just as elegant, the slightly smaller woman realized as she caught her cousins' rolling muscles rise and fall as he stayed in the lead. She shifted her gaze away from his fit body as she almost let a small stone catch her paw and send her stumbling. She caught herself barely, adjusting her step for a mere second to sidestep before carrying on after Helotes with a soft sigh.

While the woman had gone seeking along the borders of other lands before just to gather the new layout and territorial mapping of the world she lived in she hadn't gone looking for trouble. She wouldn't mind a scrap if it came down to it but she wasn't hoping for one either. A small grin split her maw at the excitement of testing their skills and the challenge that lay ahead. Her mind was a buzz with wild ideas of the news they could bring home, if anyone was stupid enough to air their dirty laundry in public. Oh the possibilities.

The thinning of the woods and the change of the scent around them thrilled her blood as she raised her lilac orbs to gaze about when Helotes voice called softly. She stopped right at his shoulder, her muzzle right near his ear as she growled softly. "..and now the fun begins..." Her eyes were alight with mischief as she shifted her weight from one paw to the other, her shoulders shifting slightly, the muscles rolling as the only sound that greeted them so far was the everyday business of the forest creatures.
