"She's just another loose cannon"

She had wandered into this land almost five hours ago. The scent of the seas had drawn her into the area. Although as long as she had been here she had had this scene of deja vu. She felt like she had been here before a long time ago. Her heart would skip a beat each time she passed a certain land mark. Ryan felt her yellow eyes dart left and right taking in her surroundings with a certain amazement and fear.

Why would she feel as if she had been here before? It was such a strange emotion that gripped her it set her on edge. Frustration built up in her gut making her bare her fangs to the wind. She continued moving her blonde body moving through the woods with as much stealth an 8 month old could muster. Her body was tall and lanky, she would be unbelievably tall when fully grown, and agility would be on her side. At the moment she was slightly awkward still learning to completely control the huge body she was starting to get.

Her progress stopped when the trees parted to reveal a large cabin. The deja vu was at its strongest as she stared at the cabin. She didn't think about where the pack was, she was to caught up in her brain trying to figure out her odd emotions. Where was she and why did it feel so comforting to be here? Ryan growled deep in her throat, she didn't like how weak this place made her, she was very aware how off guard she was.

Terra had been rather enjoying herself this morning. She'd practiced sneaking around in her optime form, not that it had worked well. The instincts were still there, but Terra would try and aim the huge body through impossibly small gaps and cling to almost nonexistent shadows. It worked in lupus form, but in optime she couldn't be more obvious if she was singing while doing it. Some progress had been made though, as Terra had managed to find a nice hidden path she could use in optime form. True she wasn't relying on her own skill when using it, but it got her used to actually using stealth in that form.

Now she moved along in her secui form, testing the limits. Terra had used it a couple times before, just enough to realize she had too much power. While Terra could move without rustling a leaf in this form, she could easily break something without meaning to. Terra had almost lost a deer from tearing off it's leg in this form, and had thrown herself too far in one jump. Terra concentrated on moving with more care this time, jumping and slashing with a delicateness she usually lacked. She actually looked quite silly moving that way, like a giant monster taking up ballet. It was working though, and Terra was learning to gauge how much effort she put into things.

Terra sniffed the air, smelling another canine. Jovially Terra galloped forward, expecting another pack member. She let out a loud howl in greeting, ignoring it's broken form. Bursting into a clearing with a cabin in it Terra slowed down. A young pup stood there, obviously confused about where it was. Terra took another whiff, puzzled. As far as she knew there weren't any pups that age in the pack. Her hackles partly raised as she realized it wasn't a pack member. Terra wouldn't hurt the girl though. She was just a pup. Terra could forgive the trespassing. Besides, it wasn't in her nature to be as territorial as a full blooded wolf. She was much more welcoming towards strangers than the others.

Hello. What brings you here? I'm Terra. Terra moved forwards, forgetting her bulky form. Gently she sniffed the pup. She could tell the pup hadn't eaten in a while, a wanderer much like she had been for most of her life. Sympathy wouldn't be welcomed for someone who came from a world where each day was a life and death struggle. Pity was for the weak, as Terra knew too well. The only reason to help the weak would be if you could gain something from them. You do understand you're on pack territory.

"She's just another loose cannon"

She stood still trying to gather her frayed nerves. Something about this place made her feel things she should never have to interpret. The cabin was large in size, at least big enough to have held a quarter of any pack. It was impressive to say the least. Since Ryan had entered the pack lands she had forgotten about her injury and how starved she was. Walking into unknown territory was really pushing her luck, but hell what did she have to loose?

Her question would soon be answer as the presence of a very large second form wolf made itself known. Ryan wasn't a very socially graceful creature. The hair on her back rose while yellow eyes became wild in her head. Although young she was far from weak, maybe in this instance she was foolish, but it was rare. She made no move from her original position since it would be beneficial for her to see what the other wolf would do.

Words broke the silence while a light nose just barely touched her pelt. A flood of panic and anger spilled into Ryan's gut and she jumped swiftly with long legs a good yard from the other women. The touch sent sparks into her skin causing feelings she was horrified of. Physical contact had been something so rare in her life she hated when ever it happened.

Gathering herself Ryan sat very calmly with a witty smile perched on her face. The female wolf was so soft with a stranger who had just intruded on pack lands. It was good luck for her she was, but for the packs future it could mean disaster. Ignoring her first question Ryan answered the later figuring it was none of her business as to why she had wandered onto the pack lands. "Apparently, the bunch of you smell like a rotting corpse. It's hard to miss." The she wolfs husky voice dripped with the intended insult. She had no intention of letting this woman baby her like some whelp. Her only ear perked forward on her head as she awaited a reply, the left ear useless due to the lack of one. The blood had started to crust onto the missing appendage leaving a nasty mangled mess upon her head. It was something she still had to attend to.

Terra wasn't a fighter. She didn't even know how to fight, except for the clumsy dagger movements she had learned from Dresden. That didn't mean she couldn't defend herself or her pack. The girl was young, but that was no guarantee for Terra to go soft on her. The girl was a wanderer, yet surprisingly her survival instincts were weak. A rotting corpse, hm? I suppose it's because we actually eat well. Terra pushed forward, letting the power in her form shove herself into the other's face. Terra had kept her voice soft, but every ridge of her body stood at the ready. Unlike a fighter the movement wasn't there to be read, too unfamiliar. Instead it spoke of quick movement and silent death.

You're very ignorant for someone who's lived on their own. I'm surprised you've managed to survive. Perhaps I should fix this mistake? Weakness was not to be tolerated. Terra allowed it to exist inside her pack as long as the alpha allowed it, but she had no qualms killing those outside it that were weaker than her. She was stronger, older, and swifter than the girl. Terra might not know how to fight, but she'd fought bears and killed a cougar. A young pup wouldn't be too much difficulty. All she'd have to do is remember the fights with the pups in her pack, and she could win.

"She's just another loose cannon"

Ryan kept her eyes on the woman's every movement as she sat there calmly with her shit eating grin plastered to her face. She could admit to herself that she had been off her guard in this territory, something about it caused her to have a feeling of nostalgia and it didn't settle well with her. Ryan found the woman humorous to say the least. She stood in her large second form acting as if she could crush her like a bug. Honestly she had to know that with so much bulk she would also be much slower than her who was tall and lean and had speed on her side. Sometimes being big didn't get you the kill.

Ryan made no move when the she wolfs muscles began to bunch with tension. Getting a rise out of her had been much easier than Ryan had first intended. Someone with such a mind so easily riled would not be hard to defeat if battle did ensue. Of course Ryan wasn't really in the mood for blood and pain, she was to caught up in her mind about this territory and what it meant to her.

A bark of laughter eased from the blonde wolfs maw at the she wolfs words. Of course she was ignorant! At the young age of eight months she had yet to learn many things in this world that was understandable. "Look here you tub of lard, I may look thin in your eyes but this is the weight of a wolf who survives, not sitting of my ass filling my mouth all day long." Ryan's husky voice leaked with the apparent humor she found from the other. "As far as fixing any mistakes you wouldn't be the first to try." White fangs bared revealing a grin from the young wolf.

Deviating from the current conversation Ryan pointed her nose at the cabin and back at the woman. "What is this place anyways?" At least while she had the woman on talking terms she could pull some useful information from her and maybe put some puzzle pieces together. Suddenly Ryan remembered Jazper the black alpha reacting poorly to her name. Maybe she could find out a little more about that as well.

She didn't bother replying. Terra was thin, with the same weight as a wanderer. She hadn't yet had time to put on the weight she should have had, so being called fat was almost humorous for her. The girl had threatened the pack though, and hadn't corrected it. Without hesitation Terra lunged out, reaching for the scruff of the pup's neck. Even as she did that Terra twisted to the side, making sure her own neck wasn't exposed. Terra got ready to throw herself back, tossing the pup over her head. This pup wouldn't get away with such brazen behaviour!

Despite her size Terra was trained for speed and agility. It was her strength, not brute power. Terra's movements were silky smooth, barely visible. The pup may have survived on her own, but she obviously hadn't fought before. If she had the stupid girl would know better than to mouth off like that. Terra knew how to put on a cocky attitude, one she used herself when among strangers. Terra followed her instincts though, and they told her when she was in danger. This stupid girl had no such instincts, just guts and the feeling that she was better than those who grew up in packs. She'd be surprised when confronted by the power of one who had survived on her own for so long as well.

"She's just another loose cannon"

Ryan was waiting for the situation to go either way. She knew when you spoke big you had to play big. Of course her age hadn't saved her before and she had Carmine to thanks about her fighting experience. Ryan's yellow and gray eyes were hard as they watched her waiting for her reaction. The air was cool in the opening and it made Ryan forget yet again that she was missing her left ear. Pain had dulled out in the are and was starting to be replaced with numbness.

A large wolf like the she wolf before her plus anger almost always would equal to a disaster. No mental control and no physical control with a rage filled mind. Ryan would know that anger was a distraction and a great mental slow down. Weather it was plain anger or just lack of intelligence on this woman's side she wasn't sure.

The large body lunged out across the yards length she had put between them earlier. Although large she had some speed, but in second form she was much bigger than Ryan's lean lanky frame. Easy enough the youth ducked left with her body low to the earth while the she wolf snapped for the nape of her neck and threw weight back as if to chuck her. Although she could get in some blows, the woman was shifted and Ryan had yet to learn or gain the confidence to experience that. She may be fast but it would only take the she wolf two or three good bites to take her down and she knew it. Survival was about loosing your pride when you had to and admitting to what you had to do.

With her body still flush to the ground Ryan rolled a good ten feet from the woman and sprang to her paws. A playful grin plastered her her maw and yellow and gray eyes sparkled. "I've been told I'm quit slippery." She continued to grin and wait the she wolfs next move. Keeping on the defensive was her best bet in this situation against such a big opponent. Now that the fight had ensued she was beginning to feel her adrenaline pump and heart race. The aching feel for blood in her mouth came, and she wandered if this woman's blood had a taste as good as her own did.

OOC have to edit. Didn't mention moving away in last post though I shoved Terra in Ryan's face last time. For fight, Terra will win, so what kind of injuries do you want? Will she run, be maimed, pinned down in a show of dominance, just add another scar to the side, ecetera. Terra can take a couple side swipes, but she is fast enough to dodge any major blows. Ironic that they fight when so alike. Need to have them meet again so they can get along. Smile

The pup had been lucky, dodging Terra's first blow. The next part wasn't so lucky. Terra's instincts kept her from raging the way she normally would. Pushed into a fight her mind was shoved down. The first moves had been filled with emotion, allowing the pup the escape. As soon as she was flung into the fight however, her instincts took over. Nothing remained of the mischievous coyote that Terra usually was. Instead a cold hard predator stood in her place, each movement drilled into her head. On her own Terra wouldn't stand a chance, but the time spent fighting with various animals had her with some knowledge. She found herself facing a mirror, the same movements she would have used against a larger opponent.

Knowing that was to her advantage though. The pup had made some distance between them. Terra would start heading for the undergrowth, using it to lose the larger opponent and injuring the creature through the gaps. Her secui form held power though, and with it a speed she was unused to. Granted, she wasn't as graceful as in lupine form, but closing the distance between them would be easy. The question was what her next move should be. The predator examined the thin pup. It wanted to mark the pup as an easy target, thin and weak, but a small voice kept whispering that wasn't the case. She was weak as well, putting them on even terms.

Terra darted to the side of the pup, closing the distance in a manner of seconds. Without pause she twisted, her feet skidding slightly beneath her, as she shoved herself underneath the pup. Most large animals left the underbelly alone, going for the top. Terra wasn't a large animal though, and all her experience taught her to aim for the underside, the weak spot. Teeth snapped out, ready to tear into the stomach.

Please avoid power-playing in fights, as it is against 'Souls rules. However, I'm stopping the fighting now. Trespassing is not acceptable in CdM. 300+

He had only been home for a few days, but already the dog King could be found moving through the kingdom with purpose. Vigilante had stayed in the house later than usual that day, content to spend the time with Ayita and their family. Their growing family had suffered a number of blows lately, with Zafier's death at the hands of the tribe and Amaranth leaving, Niro and Jiva in tow. Their family needed to recover and that was his primary focus as of late. As soon as he had left the house, however, the King had noticed the intruding scent, old as if it had entered hours prior and vaguely familiar—not a member or former member, but a mate or family member, perhaps. It was indistinct, but it was unpleasantly familiar.

Following the scent deeper into the territory, Vigilante growled to himself. Cour des Miracles seemed to be the target of a great number of trespassers, and he could not remember if that had been the case when they had been under the rule of Jacquez. Regardless, something needed to be done about this in the future. Trespassing was not acceptable normally, and with the recent troubles with AniWaya, the King was less than forgiving. Such a thing would no longer be tolerated.

"Enough!" the dog King bellowed, his secui form held rigid as he quickly assessed the situation. The trespasser was visibly young, though still an adult in his mind. She seemed to be only a bit younger than Noah and Liam were. She was old enough to know that this was pack territory, and she was also old enough to know that trespassing was not acceptable behavior. "Unless you have business here, I suggest that you leave," he said to her, his tone rough, the words pointed. Trespassers that started fights were not welcome here.

OOC I apologize if I powerplayed

The instant Terra heard the voice bellow she backed off. She knew that voice, even if she'd never heard it before. It was of the alpha, the one strong enough to lead above all others. Terra pulled herself away from the pup, cowering beneath the power she felt radiating from the dog. A slight whimper escaped her lips as she tucked her tail up. Creeping forwards a little Terra lowered her head, not making contact, silently apologizing for her actions. She didn't know quite what was wrong yet, haven't yet snapped out of the haze the fight had created.

Terra glanced behind her, hoping the pup would know what had happened and submit. All she wanted was to make her alpha happy. This was not a happy alpha. If she could melt intro the ground Terra would have done it. Ears flat against her head she heard the king pronounce the wrongdoings, and let out a small sigh of relief. She hadn't been the one in the wrong. Still, she had fought when that wasn't what the alpha wished for. Her mind cleared Terra flattened her ears, hoping to be forgiven.

"She's just another loose cannon"

ooc: Hey meg long time no talk! Sorry about the trespassing I'll ask you next time. I forgot about that completely. I'm still getting back into the souls vibe. Sorry if this is a little here and there to I didn't get to post in the right order lol

Although she was ready to fight she hadn't really been inclined to. Though it wasn't surprising that fighting had ensued after how she had spoke to the she wolf. Ryan had a feeling that the fight had nothing to do with her trespassing and more to do with anger and an injured pride. Either way she was in no mood to get torn into or tear into another. It seemed that the she wolf was determined to make this a fight, and Ryan didn't know how to avoid blood shed on either side at the rate it was going.

The woman had made her move taking position behind her and then towards her under belly. Quick young paws dodged left but not with out some teeth scraping her slightly. The wound was hardly anything unbearable, if anything just something for her to take into consideration. Ryan settled on her large paws a good ten feet away again. This time her face was void of any emotion a mask as she got lost in her own thoughts.

Her inner dabbling was soon interrupted by the sound of a male voice. It held a domineering tone of an alpha so Ryan was sure she was meeting the next pack leader in only a few days. Great She thought with a mental groan. There was never anything appealing about meeting pack leaders. There had only been five she had met counting Jazper in her short life, most of those experiences had told her that they didn't usually like her. Surprise Surprise. Ryan's yellow eyes watched him carefully while her usual shit eating grin plastered itself back on her face. It was the best facade in any situation, also the easiest one to maintain.

He spoke harshly expelling her from the land. Which was obviously what was expected. What Ryan had not expected was the other she wolf to go flush to the ground and grovel like a dead animal. She blonde red girl cringed openly at the display. It was like watching a mentally retarded wolf have an episode. That simple thought made her chuckle openly. She really couldn't help herself. Getting to her large but young paws she gave her girlish smirk and nodded her head to the male. If he wanted to have his servants lick his paws then that was no problem to her.

Ryan stole one last look at the cabin, it was strange how she felt something about this territory. It was like a lurking emotion that almost felt nagging at the back of her head. She mentally shrugged it off. Most likely she would never know about it anyways so what point was there to dwell on it?

Instead of arguing or being an insolent child while attempting to get out of trouble, as the King had expected the young trespasser to do, she turned on her heel and walked away. He huffed, watching her go for a moment before he turned to Terra, noting the submissive stance and behavior for the first time since he found the fighting pair. Vigilante had never demanded formal respect or submission in the manner that Jacquez had, but he had grown in his role as King and had come to expect it, though not normally in such a theatrical, perhaps intense, manner.

“Come on,” he said calmly. “We will stay back far enough that we should not be seen, but I wish to follow her, to ensure that she leaves.” Vigilante did not know whether or not he expected her to try and cause trouble again, but he wanted to be certain that she left the territory. The strangely familiar scent was still making the dog mutt’s nose tingle unpleasantly. He could recognize the scent as being familiar, but not whose it was.

The King began walking in the same direction that the young wolf had gone in, expecting Terra to walk beside him. He turned his large, soot face in her direction. “We have not yet been introduced. I am Vigilante Haskel,” he told her. He waited a moment, giving her time to respond and introduce herself before he asked, “Did she give you her name?” Perhaps if she had, it would solve the mystery of the strangely and unpleasantly familiar scent.

A sigh of relief escaped her at the alpha's friendly attitude. Standing up from the ground she shook herself, letting the dirt that had collected fall off. She glanced at the retreating wolf's back before hearing his next words. Sharply she turned, her full attention focused. Briskly Terra trotted up beside him, staying just behind his shoulder. Even with the relaxed atmosphere Terra still felt forced to show respect. The single display of power had woken dormant instincts that told her to submit. Normally Terra would have shaken it off and just done the bare minimum of submission, but she was still new. Terra didn't want anything to jeopardize her place in the pack. If her instincts told her to submit, Terra wasn't going to argue. Listening to them had saved her more than once.

Terra. I'm afraid I didn't learn her name. I was more interested in beating respect into the one who insulted my pack. Terra glanced to the side, embarrassed of her actions. A better canine than her would have considered what behavior the alpha demanded of them before leaping into battle. Instead she'd let anger cloud her mind and given into her instincts. Granted, she had managed to give the girl a blow, but if Terra hadn't been stopped she would have kept on going until the pup died or submitted. Considering how the girl had even given attitude to the alpha, Terra doubted submission was going to happen.

"She's just another loose cannon"

Ryan's ear flicked back as she walked away, clearly hearing their voices but not what they said. Though she was certain she didn't hear what they said cause she was focusing on something else completely. Her brain was transfixed on the territory she was in and the strange creeping feeling it brought up along her spine. It wasn't a feeling she appreciated and it made her mind wander, that was a death sentence if she ever knew one.

It was because her mind was so lost in thought she didn't really focus on the other two or what they were doing. Although partially it was because she was hungry and her gut was dragging her mind in vicious circles along with uneasy notions. This had to be the longest the blonde she wolf had gone without food, since almost thirteen days was a record. A large gurgling sound made her only ear pin back in disgust.

Ryans bright yellow eyes peered out into nearby area as she started to muse of all the little critters crawling around in the brush. Focus ass or you'll get yourself killed. The thought was harsh and one sided. Shaking her head forcefully she tried to focus on her slightly throbbing missing ear. The wound was still caked with old blood and ripped into a nasty shred upon her head. Stopping, Ryan took a minute to roll things over in her head slowly. She wasn't up to par in this area, something about it put her on edge along with the fact she was starving.

The border was only another mile farther and her paws seemed glued in place. The red eared wolf was feeling stuck and didn't know what was pulling her more. Curiosity had her brain doing cartwheels while her stomach was trying to rule out. She had completely forgotten about the two only moments before, so lost in her own thoughts and dilemma. What's wrong with me? Ryan mused as she stood there.

Whoa, I'm soooo sorry! I never realized this had been replied to. D: Syd, did you want further interaction...? If so, please let me know and I'll have him speak to her again in my next post.

There were members of the pack that he did not recognize immediately—Strelein could accept members, naturally, as could members of the council when there were any—and Terra had been one up them until now. Vigilante did not tend to pass judgement on other canines upon the first meeting unless they were clearly bad souls. Terra did not seem to be one, though perhaps a little quick to act without giving a situation all the thought it needed, as evidenced by the rapid fight and the lack of a name. She seemed embarrassed by her own actions, however, so he did not further the conversation there. It wasn't necessary.

The dog King kept his head held high as they followed the trespasser from a distance, green eyes narrowing when she ceased moving, turning her head to look around her. He felt a deep rumbling in his chest, threatening to spill out of his muzzle in a threatening growl, but for the moment he contained it. He would give her a chance to continue moving and to leave their territory peacefully before he made another move towards her. Slowing his own steps, he asked Terra, "How are you settling into the kingdom?"

When the pup came to a halt in front of them, Terra thought nothing of it. Her ideas about territory and intruders were extremely flexible, to the point where the only way one could be considered an intruder in her mind would be if they approached a pack wolf on the territory without permission. Other than that she had no problems with strangers running amok on pack lands. The alpha clearly felt differently though, as she glanced over to find him holding himself in a much more threatening position again. Did this pup want to die?

Distracted by the king's threatening pose it took Terra longer to respond to his question. Instinctively she'd distanced herself, though her body language hadn't grown more submissive in nature. If anything the time spent walking had lent a more dominant air to her posture as she naturally slid out from the submission her instincts had forced upon her. Not being extremely dominant or submissive, she tended to hold herself proudly even if she did acknowledge another. It's rather strange, honestly. The canines here know so much I don't. I didn't grow up around luperci, so your ways tend to be curious for me. I really want to learn about all of it, and everyone I've met so far is really friendly.
