SWENTZLE BYSTRÖM
Basics

Name Meaning: Village by a stream.

Name Origin: Swedish

Nickname: Swentz

Birthdate: May 5th

Age: 3 years

Luperci: Ortus

Heritage: %75 Canis Familiaris, %25 Canis Lupus

Home & Rank: Loner

Physical Appearance

Height & Weight

Lupus: 130lbs, 25in tall

Secui: 145lbs, 37in tall

Optime 150lbs, 5ft 6in tall

Prefers xOptime form.

General: Though his genes consist primarily of his dog ancestors', Swentzle's build takes more after a wolf's. He is, in fact, very wolf-like, with the heavy-set shoulders and barrel chest of a canine much larger than he really is. He could be one of his cousins in miniature, were it not for his odd coloring and thick coat. His ears and tail, as well, give away his mixed heritage, as the former tends to flop, and the latter curls.

Eyes: His eyes are white-blue, though this is hard to see, as his pupils are normally unusually dilated. This anomaly is because he is mostly blind.

Coloration: His coat, primarily a very dark brown, is actually brindled over most of his body; it consists of blonde, black, and even some reddish-brown hues, to add to his russet fur. His fur is only one solid color—this being black—on his mane, or in Optime form, his hair.

Clothing: In Optime form, Swentzle can be found wearing a loincloth and a wrap, both made of soft, pseudo leather material. The loincloth covers only his front, and the wrap is an odd thing, which wraps around one shoulder and across his chest and back, knotting at the opposite collarbone to leave the same shoulder bare.

Accessories: Occasionally, in Optime form, he will wear strands of feathers which have been tied together in his hair. These strands hang to about his chest, and though he only wears them sometimes, they appear often enough that it's worth mentioning.

Scars: Though the wounds have long since healed, there remain the small remnants of burn marks around and in his eyes. The fur there is shorter and finer than usual, and the area is tender to the touch.

Tattoos: There are a great many tattooed runes carved into his chest, and another tattoo can be found around his upper left arm. The tattoos were cut into his skin, then dyed red, so as to mark him noticeably as a member of the Shikoba tribe.

Piercings: Swentzle has no piercings to speak of.

Personality

General: If one were to describe Swentzle in a word, it would most likely be solemn. One could say he is wise beyond his years, as well, and that perhaps he has a kind heart—but mostly, it would be his solemn nature that struck you first. He rarely, if ever, smiles, and humor of any kind seems to fly over his head. Everything is of the utmost gravity to him; having been thrown into an important role in the tribe at a young age, Swentzle soon learned that adults rarely had time to play, and so gave up useless pass-times completely. Though his demeanor softens around children—and they are most often the ones to see the rare grin—he is also somewhat sad around them, constantly wondering when they'll be forced to grow up.

Though these characteristics are his most prominent, should one happen to get close to him, they may also see a strong, protective side of him that was not previously apparent; though incredibly passive when confronted, should someone else happen to be in a bad situation--particularly if they're already well-known to him, or happen to be his friend--one may see an aggressive, confrontational face that was not there before. Nearly all the fights Swentzle has been in have been on the behalf of others; and the few that weren't were those orchestrated by his tribesmen to hone his skills. When Swentzle says, "I'm not a fighter," he has the track-record to prove it.

Traits: Solemn, wise, kind-hearted, protective, passive.

Speech

General Style: His words often come across as formal and stiff, though he doesn't mean them that way. Rarely will he use conjunctions, though as he becomes more relaxed, so too will his tones.

Beliefs & Ideals

Sexuality: Though he had a mate and child back in the tribe of Shikoba in the south, it also wasn't uncommon for men and women to take same-sex lovers among the tribe. Though he didn't do this himself, he doesn't see anything wrong with it, and has found himself attracted to other men before. You could call him bisexual if you wanted to.

Religion: The Shikoban religion was an odd, twisted thing, which relied mostly on each tribesman doing his or her part to satisfy the Great Spirits and bring about good fortune and health to the tribe as a whole. As the spiritual leader, Swentzle was expected to be in contact with the Great Spirits--who were, in reality, the forces of nature. His religious beliefs still lie with the Great Spirits; with the river, the wind, and the trees. And he believes that listening to what they tell you, and to the spirit of your Instincts, you can bring yourself good fortune.

Prejudices: Swentzle has yet to come across anything to be prejudicial toward; though he hasn't met everyone under the sun, and can't say that he doesn't dislike anyone, at the moment, he hasn't developed such feelings of dislike toward anyone.

General Beliefs: Swentzle has come to believe that, before you can rely on anyone else, you must learn to rely on yourself.

Lifestyle & Behavior

Residence: At the moment, as a Loner, Swentzle has taken up residence in the Dampwoods. He sleeps under the stars, with his companions, the Mountain Lion Fovea, the Barn Owl Citlali, and the Bison Hamza. His fire is always open to passersby, and he's often willing to share a meal, in the hopes that should he ever be in need, the favor will be remembered, and returned.

Favorite Haunts: He makes day trips up to Drifter Bay sometimes, and will travel farther south to Halifax, but the Dampwoods is his primary location.

Hobbies: Swentzle is a spiritual healer and a giver of advice, but also a fire master; often times you can find him performing rituals over a low-burning, smoking flame.

Habits: He burns incense almost constantly, and though there isn't anything particularly intoxicating about the scents, they often give away his position to passersby. It is, in a sense, his way of declaring his tribe and his whereabouts to others; this was a tradition where he came from, and a way to tell friend from foe.

Substances: Aside from his incense, his rabid Chile addiction, and his occasional taste for alcohol, Swentzle doesn't use any substances.

Abilities

Skills: Swentz is quite skilled in the ways of medicine, as well as survival. He knows odd facts, such as what water sources are best to drink from, and has a vast supply of herbs that he'll hand over willingly if a healer proves more skilled than he is.

Strengths: His sense of hearing has become keener due to his lack of eyesight, as has his sense of smell. Though they're not much greater than a normal canine's, he wields them well in the lack of his other sense.

Weaknesses: On top of his partial blindness, one might say Swentzle relies too much on the kindness of others. You could call him naive, and you'd probably be right.

History

Past Packs & Ranks:

Shikoba

Rank: Zvezdan

Mates:

Anzhela: Mated for almost a year, Anzhela gave him his daughter, Shevon, before tragedy forced Swentzle to abandon his family and head north.

General: Swentzle grew up in the tribe of the Shikoba, and trained to be the Medicine Man. He'd taken over the position by the age of two, but only three months later was forced to give up the job, as a roving group of strangers set fire to the village and he lost most of his eyesight in the attack. He spent enough time there to train his replacement, and then he left, heading north in the hopes that there might be a cure along the way. Sadly, there was none.

A week after settling into an area known to the locals as the Dampwoods, he found himself in need of a wagon and supplies. He went to an area known as Freetown, and there ran into an old friend from a neighboring tribe back home, Antiman. Antiman was pleased to see him, and helped him trade for the things he needed. They swapped stories, and Antiman agreed to bring word of his whereabouts back to the Shikobans, before they parted ways.

.vsca-credit { width:95%; margin:0 auto; font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:10px; text-transform:uppercase; letter-spacing:.05px; text-align:right;}
/*Just some general notes: You can use this to keep track of your Word of the Day or game points, too. It counts them automatically for you, then. 8D An example of this can be found in Sie's postlog (http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index ... st&p=95421). Please feel free to quote the post and lift that example, though I swear there's nothing different about that code than the code provided here! Also, remember, if you use the basic DIV shell in multiple posts, you only need to include the CSS once! That's it! And then you can control all of your archives with one CSS, if you please! If not, and you want multiple different layouts for each character and you plan to customise each one, *PLEASE* remember to change your class names from .char to your character's name or another unique identification, otherwise your CSSes will overlap and it will be bad.*/
.char-archive {width:95%; margin:0 auto; font-family:'times new roman', times, serif; font-size:14px;}
/* Main DIV control. This controls your base text. If you want a background or border, you can add them here. You can combine this with my pure css table tutorial, sort of, and set a background image with padding to make it pretty, if you want. Big Grin*/
.char-archive li {padding:2px 0px; margin:0px; list-style-type: decimal-leading-zero; font-weight:bold;}
/*This controls the list items and gives them 2px padding on the top and bottom, 0px padding to the left and right, and a leading zero on the list numbers. It also makes the font weight of the numbers bold.*/
.char-archive li em {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; letter-spacing:-.1px; line-height:16px; font-style:normal; font-weight:normal; }
/*This is so that we can use a different text/font weight/color/etc for our numbers, and have our actual list item content text differ from the numbers. COOL RITE? */
.char-archive ol { list-style-position:inside; padding:0px; margin:0px; }
/* This sets the position of the numbers inside; you can also have them display outside, if you like, which will push all of the text over to the right and separate out the numbers to the left slightly. I wouldn't mess with the padding or margin unless you want to add spacing around your archive list.*/
.char-archive p {text-indent:25px; margin:0px; padding:0px; }

Please remember to mark your mature threads in their titles, the first post with the provided warnings, (http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index ... t&p=107437), and in profiles, archives, and post logs. Anywhere you can give people a heads up about a mature thread is good.*/
.char-archive li a {text-transform:lowercase;}
/*Controls the links used in your list items. If you want all of them to display upper or lowercase, I would recommend setting it via CSS rather than manually typing it in capitalized or all lowercase, because it is far, far easier to go back and change things later if you use CSS to set such things. Smile I typed all of the thread titles in my character archives as properly capitalized and just set the links to display as lowercase. Remember, the fact that the a tag is declared after the li tag means that only links within your list items will change; any links outside of this (e.g., where the Wiki Profile / Detailed Profile links are) are not affected.*/
.char-post {font-size:15px; color:#8C0404;}
/*If you want to use the little symbols, this controls their color and size. I like for the symbols to stick out from the rest of the text, hence the color. They also don't look very good at smaller sizes, that is why they are set for 15px. Feel free to experiment, of course. :3*/

/*This is the separator control. Font variables and so forth. A note for the separators, you have to place them WITHIN a list item tag (li) in order for them to function properly for every instance except the first one, which is placed outside of the first ordered list tag (ol). An example of this has been done for you--please remember this, otherwise the separators are liable to break something somehow and you will have to rescue your codez and it will not be fun. */

/*Makes your character notes float to the right. You can change this to left, just remember to set char-post float to right too.*/
.char-list {clear:both; padding-top:10px;}
/*This makes your list clear the title and character notes divs. Don't touch this.;P You can change the padding so that there is a different amount between the thread list and your upper two divs; beyond that leave this part alone.*/
