1.)
She felt as though this journey of mine was close to its end. It was as though she felt right at home as her body calmly ambled its way onto this land. The aromas of wolves filled my nose and rushed through her memory. Although she could not personally recognized any of the particular scents, it brought back memories of when her brother and herself used to all get along. That was back before they realized how light at heart she was. Hopefully that would not be a problem here. Wolves were known for being aggressive, but she did believe in her heart and mind that there was someone out there who was a lot like herself. Someone who would love me unconditionally, whether she wanted to rip the head off a beast or just cuddle. It was just a matter of patience and time to find them. Love was a hard thing to come by now a days. Her mother had told her countless times that to look for love made you nothing more than a hopeless fool. So maybe that's all she truly was; a hopeless fool. If that were the case she was perfectly alright with it. Her life was enjoyable. How many wolves could say that?
As she continued to walk further down towards the new land, the air dropped to a chilly level, worse than what was above on the surface of solid ground. The area was dark but thanks to being able to see well in the dark she was fine with it. There were a lot of places to turn and new places to enter but she just remained on her path, going straight and further down. Would anyone even be down here?

2.)
Morning was always a symbolic time, one of new life and rebirth, when the moon shrank away, bringing with it it's fears and mysterious ongoing's of the night, it's shadows and pressing darkness burned away by the glowing orb of sun, although it coated the world in blood and sent chills down the spines of superstitious coyotes, that blood-soaked appearance the the world takes when the sun rises. Not to say Insomnia didn't love the night, it was her preferred time, she had made more than her fair-share of trips out of camp to explore the world when it was soaked silver instead or red, and bats frequented the sky instead of birds. The best part was, never getting caught.

Insomnia hadn't been out all night, but she had woken up extremely early, well before the sun rose, and went out into the forest, exploring in the early morning darkness and done her own mock patrol, although she was as giddy as a pup then entire time, blundering through the dark forest, active with nocturnal creatures, giving her the feeling of not being alone. She had made a quiet return back, and was quickly rallied to join a hunting patrol. Of course, she was eager, and strangely, not a lick of exhausted irked her body, although she knew she'd feel it later. It was awhile later, and the sun was on a steady climb up, but soon, the brown tabby male appeared, slowly trekking toward where she was waiting. She beamed at him, even knowing the friendship, almost kinship she felt for the young male wasn't mutual. He seemed to like no one.

(My old cat role-play, i couldn't think of another example. >< I'm sorry)

3.)
She had been up all night. First it had been guard duty, then it was moon-high patrol, and just to make his life more miserable she went on the morning hunting patrol! Sure she wasn’t the only one who worked hard, there was always Hawkclaw, Seafang, and a few others. (Not to mention apprentices) There always seemed to be something else for her to do, it was like the clan didn’t trust her, or they were trying to get back her! The last time she had, had time for herself was when she was hunting alone in the forest and that had been, what felt like, two moons ago. (when it was really only a half-moon ago).

Now she was in his den, taking in all the sleep she could possibly take in with all the noise, noise, noise! The familiar hum of the camp rang in her ears as she closed her light brown eyes, curled her tail around to cover the tip of her cold nose. She relaxed his muscles, and tried to blur out the camp and the warriors that kept coming in and out of the den. To her delight he found himself dreaming that she was in the forest. But not just in the forest, she was in the forest alone! No funny business with apprentices that seemed to always come flying out of the bushes, like a squirrel that was leaping from tree-to-tree, and their mentors that were yelling at them telling them to slow down and tread more carefully and that they were scaring off all the prey in the forest. There was nothing that that could disrupt her peaceful dream now.

Welcome to 'Souls!

Congratulations! You've been accepted into the craziest bunch of roleplayers on the vast Internet! We encourage you to keep checking out our information; you can find a wealth of it on the RP Guide. Don't feel pressured to read it all at once -- the guide is a huge resource and is meant to be used as a reference.

If You've Joined the Game As a...
  • ... Loner, do begin considering which of the packs you'd like to join. Survival as a Loner is less realistic -- wolves and other canines are generally social creatures, preferring to live in a pack structure!
  • ... IC pack joiner, you can now begin posting -- you may start your IC pack joining thread whenever you're ready. Make sure you check the pack information to see if the leadership requires anything extra from you!
  • ... OOC pack joiner, the leader still has to respond here before you can start roleplaying -- don't worry, though; if you're rejected from the pack you'll be titled as a Loner, and you're free to pursue other packs or the same one later.
Post-Joining Process
Mandatory:
  • Make an In Character post within five days. Post a thread request to get started, or consider starting or replying to an open thread.
  • Please let us know in the Absentee Thread if you plan to be absent for more than four days.
  • Keep reading! While there's only a minimum of three topics you have to read to join the game, we provide a wealth of information for a reason -- we expect players to read and reference this material often while they roleplay at 'Souls.
Preferred:
  • If you're leaving us, please try to let us know in the Player Updates forum. There is no penalty for leaving; you're free to re-join at any time later.
Still Need a Bit of Help?

Post any questions you may have in the Questions and Help forum. Check the FAQ first, though! The Mentors can assist you with writing, roleplaying, and understanding 'Souls concepts. Failing all else, contact a staff member.

If you need help getting adjusted to your pack, you should talk to your pack leader! They can help you to understand the pack's rank system and how to get a better rank, as well as direct you to plots, potential thread partners, and active members of the pack who may be interested in engaging you.
