WC:422+ / Here ya go Smile Set at night in the dampwoods. Alaki has his albino crow Beyaz with him ^^

Beneath him he felt his feet crunch the dead leaves before the harsh sound of crunching dead matter reached his ears, the scattered pine needles doing little to reduce the infuriating sound of dead leaves crunching. Unperturbed, he continued forward through the darkness, weaving his way through the maze of trees from memory more than sight, his blue eyes straining to sight anything in the darkness for tonight the moons white glow filtered through the dying trees little, leaving the damp woods seemingly darker than usual. With each step forward his Katana brushed lightly against his jean cladded leg, the only other blade he carried with him that night was a small dagger, wrapped to his left forearm with leather straps and a buckle.

The nights air was cool, caressing and chilling his two legged form and tempting him to turn back and return to the warmth of his pack. Yet as night had come the grey coloured rakeeb found himself wrestles, unable to remain still he had made sure Miwa was sound asleep and made his way out into the neighbouring woods with only Beyaz as company, the albino crow perched upon his shoulder silently as the pest did so normally. Without any destination he felt a small need to approach Inferni in search of a certain red coyote, but such thought were quickly put aside as he considered the potential consequences of being found lingering upon the coyote clans borders by anyone but the red male, which left him aimlessly wondering throughout the pines of the Dampwoods.

Stepping over a raised tree root, he paused and raised his head, dark ears swirling as they tried to pinpoint the sound; running water. Staring in the direction the distinct sound was coming from he considered altering his course to find the source and with nothing better to do he followed through with the idea, stumbling upon a small stream within a matter of minutes. Stopping before the water he crouched down and ran his hand through it, feeling the biting chill as the liquid wrapped itself around his hand.

Scooping up some water in his hands, he tossed it at Beyaz, the crow instantly digging it's nails into his shoulder and releasing an ear splintering caw. Throwing his head back he laughed unmercifully at the pests distress. As his laughter faded he stroked Beyaz's chest lightly, stepping back from the stream “You cannot deny you had that coming” he provoked the bird, getting nothing more than a red beady-eyed stare in return.

Here we go again.

Insomnia walked down the dark, chilly path, humming softly to herself. She stopped slowly and started sniffing around. "Hmm...how curious..." she mutters to herself, her slim head cocked to one side. Her paws shift against the gravely ground as she sniffs carefully at the strange scent that wafts over the clump of ferns. Closing her gold eyes, she racks her memory for the name of it...well, it's a fellow wolf for certain, but no one that she knows. It's not a scent that she would have remembered from her bad memory loss from when she was a young pup. After a short, yet ever-tiring, journey, the canine stopped again. Her muzzle dropped to the ground and she let out a sigh of relief as her nose touched the cool liquid of the river. She quickly began to lap up the water, inwardly thanking the moon for her guidance as her thirst was quenched. Before long, she stopped and breathed heavily, glad to finally have a moment's rest. Her icy blue eyes scanned the opposing banks of the water. The moon was lighting them well for her, and she couldn't see any others yet. The wolf felt a little more comforted by this but sighed still. I need to remember...

As his laughter fell to silence, he turned away from the river and sunk into the depths of the dark trees once more. Only after making it past the tree line a few paces he paused, holding himself deadly still as blue eyes roamed the area around him, ears straining to hear the out of place sound once more. When nothing moved and all he heard was silence he shrugged it off as his imagination and went to carry on his way just as the sound of movement reached him once more, this time he turned quickly and silently, staring back out to the river and making out a dark shape now by the river he had previously stopped out. Standing there he watched the other for a moment, unsure whether he wanted to greet the other or simply ignore the strange canine and continue on his way.

Before he could make a choice, Beyaz cawed loudly alerting everyone and everything to their presence. Although teaching the bird to alert him when it noticed an approaching stranger, it seemed the crow had quickly learned how to abuse the knowledge and annoy it's owner. Scowling at the albino crow for a moment to make his displeasure known to the pest, he turned to face the direction of the river, peering through the spaces between the trees to see if the other had noticed himself and the white crow. With nothing better to occupy his time and no real reason to already head back to Anathema, that and the fact Beyaz had so politely alerted their presence, he re-traced his steps and made his way back to the river, emerging from the trees on the opposing river bank to the female.

“Hey” he called out, awkwardly as he was in all initial meetings.
