Daddy dearest

Can add Hati in if you want? Not sure what he looks like X3

"DADDY!!" For such a little child she sure had a huge voice as it echoed around the house that they lived in. "Daddyy!! The little girl child was bored, after the excitement she had had yesterday with Caspa and the tree she was now searching for something to do or somebody to annoy, the object she wished to disturb this time just happened to be her father. she knew he was around here somewhere she had smelled him earlier. He was hiding from her! The girl growled in an annoyed way and put her nose to the ground, using her very limited tracking skills, her only training had consisted of finding her brothers, to attempt her find her daddy.

Her journey brought her to the top of the stairs and she eyed the wooden steps warily, last time she had come down these earlier she had stumbled and tumbled down several stairs to the bottom. It had not been a pleasant experience for her. So she was careful as she slowly made her way down the stairs, leaping from the last step with a happy yip, she hadn't fallen this time! The girl kept her nose to the floor with her tail wagging high in the air behind her, seeking out the one who did not want to be found.

Sorry for the wait <3 Let me know if the pp isn't okay, I can definitely change it, I just thought it'd be cute. xD

The doggish King had heard the small girl's voice from outside their large home. Though there was a light dusting of snow on the ground, he had been outside with Nádherné, speaking softly to the stallion in words the horse could not understand. Vigilante had never learned the language of the horses as some of the kingdom's members had done. There was always more to do and such a skill fell by the wayside. Briefly he wondered if he should make an effort to learn it, but as he ran a mottled hand over the horse's dark, satiny fur, he knew that he did not have the time or patience to learn the language of quiet nicks and snorts.

With a final pat on the horse's neck, he left Nádherné to his own devices outside, striding to the door of the Victorian home that his late brother-in-law had fixed up for them. He ducked through the doorway, his frame far too large for most of the human dwellings, unfortunately. This house had taller ceilings, though, so that least that wasn't a problem. Quickly he reached down, scooping the cinnamon-furred girl up in his arms with a fatherly laugh, licking the top of her head affectionately. "Yes, my little princess?"

no worries! ^^ PP is fine And i'm going off the fact that Marie said Lottie was very smart to make her speaking a little more advanced than it should be ^^

Heavy footsteps were the only warning she got of the behemoth approaching before he was upon her. The girl squealed with joy while she was hefted up and swung through the air, her white pawed feet kicking out at the hands that held her. She wriggled around furiously as a wet tongue swiped across the top of her head.

"Daddy! I love you Daddy. Whe' yo be? Lottie look, no find. 'Koll an Hati hide. No play wi' Lottie." The girl pouted at this comment, her brother's were meanies who hid from her, the child's ears flicked irritably backwards for a few seconds before pulling forwards as much as the floppy audits could at her father.

"Daddy play Lottie. Go walk?" She was asking in her disjointed way if he would take her for a walk and play with her. The King was a busy man and sometimes she didn't get to see him for what felt like forever. There had been a time not long back where she hadn't seen him at all for a very long time, she had missed him then and both she, Skoll and Hati had been filled with sadness despite their young age. Her breath came out in a huff as blue pools looked up at him.

The eyes that looked into his were nearly a perfect blend of her parents, a rich sea green hue. It was strange how eerily they looked like a perfect blend, as if someone had taken her mother's and father's eyes and simply placed them over each other. His little girl truly was beautiful, he thought, and he loved her dearly. It was strange to realize that, though he was not one to play favorites normally, there was an extremely soft spot in his heart that Lottie occupied.

With a laugh that brought a twinkle and warmth to his eyes, the King placed the squirming girl back on the floor, shifting his body to his little-used lupus form, the most appropriate one for romping with his young children. "I love you, too, Lottie," he replied, "and would love to play and walk. Where would you like to go?" Snow-tipped muzzle nudged the door open again, indicating that she was free to lead the way. They were not allowed to go far without supervision, but with her father, the girl was free to pick anywhere to explore, as long as it was within the pack's territory.

She squirmed even more as she was placed back down onto the wooden floor boards and ran circles around Vigilante as he shifted into a form that better matched her own. Charlotte couldn't wait until she could shift, she could do all sorts of things then! Maybe then mama would see what a big grown up girl she was and let go other places! Her excitement was such it was almost sense worthy on the air, a delicate hint of puppy hood and childish dreams laid bare. The girl child wriggled as her father completed his change her youthful exuberance clear to see. She trotted after him to the door that led to the outside and thought about where she would like to go, then the image came to her, she had seen it in mama's books,

"Beach! Lottie go see sea?" The ocean had looked very big in that story book mama had shown her. Lottie didn't really have a sense of the vastness and how huge the ocean really was, in her mind it stretched on to about the size of a small lake and then ended there as that was really the largest space she could envision all at once, when she would see the sea it would be an awesome moment of discovery for her.

Don't worry about it <3 308 words

It amazed him still just how excited his young children got when they saw him, even after he had been gone for such a long time during his occupied leadership in AniWaya. He had been almost certain that his children were going to hold it against him and would grow to resent him because he had not been there for a part of their lives, but this did not seem to be the case, and for that he was so very grateful. He did not know if that was something he could thank Ayita for, as he did not know how she had handled them in his absence (and he knew it had to have been difficult), or if it was something that could be attributed to their young age, but either way, he was grateful for it.

Spending individual time with his children was good for him, he knew, and it was extremely important to their development. That was why he had hated being away for as long as he had. Their conception had not been planned and they could not have been born at a worse time, but perhaps it was not important. They had all survived and their family seemed more whole now, more complete than it had felt before. Liam was still here, and while it would have been whole only if Amaranth and Noah were still in the kingdom, their family was strong. He loved his family more than anything, more than eh ever expected he could.

"As you wish, Princess," he said with a mock bow, leading them away from the house and towards the beach. Given how cold it was, they could not play in the water and they would not stay for long, but the cinnamon girl could nose around in the sand and maybe they could dig for shells.

She giggled as she bowed to her, well she was a princess after all! He should bow to her, everyone should bow to her! She giggled again as the image of Skoll and Hati bowing to her came to her mind. She realized she had fallen behind slightly and raced to catch up with him, taking four or five of her short steps for every one of his large strides. Her blue pools were wide as she took in the wintery wonderland around them, shrieking with joy as she sunk into the snow. The young girl charged forwards leaving deep impressions of her four paws and stomach as she bounded.

For the many thousands of memories in her years that Charlotte would accumulate, the millions of thoughts she would have and ideas considered and discarded, this memory would be one that was never forgotten, the first time her daddy had taken her to see the ocean. The trees they passed on their way were skeleton guardians with their leafless branches stretching wide and embracing, Caspa's lesson from the day before still echoed around her mind but these trees were up tall, they were alive and not dead like the fallen down one.

The cinnamon girl tripped suddenly on a concealed stone and stumbled forwards into the cold frosty white crystals. She came up spluttering in a hilarious way with flakes attached to her muzzle and eyelashes. She shook her head and stuck out her tongue,

Cold! Ground make Lottie cold!
