It had been a while since she had visited the Court, and while today she was here on goodwill of sorts she still could remember how she had spent one of her first moon quarters as a scout fixing the skulls at their borders that rumor had it, a creature from the Court itself had helped to destroy. She would be good, she would be gracious..but she would also remind the Court that respect in turn was expected. They had never shown such disrespect to the pack's lands, and while she was here with good will and offerings she would remind as well that it was a thin line between war and peace if they continued to let their members play jester across the lands.

The large mustang that she rode brought her near the lands after their prolonged expedition to the tribe. She scanned the length of sandy beaches claimed by the pack as she let the horse plot along. She grew closer to their borders, the scent of the pack stronger now as she wondered if one of the leaders would come forth this time, or if she would meet one of their pack. Once a sibling had belonged to the pack, but that was long ago and she and their king had run off on some grand adventure, abandoning their little nation to the wilds. It had lived on without it's king, but she wondered if it was the same as it use to be.

Oversized feline ears perked up as Sup-Sup crawled off her lap and sat straddled on the stallion's neck. She was certain the horse only put up with the feline because she did, but she didn't ask. As long as he let the tom live she was fine with their silent arrangement. She had grown rather fond of the cat, even if she wouldn't admit it herself. The small woman smiled at the cat as she ran a finger down its spine. She tilted her head back and gave a rather high pitched call, all coyote, all her. She leaned back on the horse's back and waited, knowing sooner or later someone would appear bringing word of the pack to exchange for greeting.

Terra licked her jaws, cleaning off the blood from the rabbit she'd killed. She still wasn't good, and the rabbit had very little meat on it. It had been on the verge of dying when Terra had surprised it, and it still had almost managed to get away. It didn't matter though as this was something she'd killed herself. It was a lot better than scavenging dead corpses. Terra still thought it was a lot of fun to steal someone else's food though. It was a test of skill and bravery. No matter how much food was provided, Terra doubted she'd ever give that up. Well, maybe if the food was really good.

Terra's ears perked at the call from the border. That was a coyote's call! Excited Terra practically tripped over her paws. It had been so long since she'd seen someone of her kind. Well actually, she hadn't seen another coyote since she'd left her birth pack. The pack of filthy hybrids in the north didn't count. They were too wolfish in their behavior.

Pushing that distasteful thought out of her mind Terra slowed as the caller came into view. The coyote was standing on two legs, so Terra paused and took the time to shift and be the same. Done that Terra let out a friendly yip, inviting the coyote to enter. Her tail wagged mad with excitement as she approached, only to catch the scent. She stopped in her tracks. It was an Inferni hybrid. Ears drooping she continued her walk forward. So much for a meeting with a fellow coyote.

The woman with the vixen like coat had been resting at peace for a while on the back of the stallion while waiting for the Court to come tending to their borders. It had been a long moment before she had finally been greeted with the call of another. Her ears perked forward as she caught the sound of another coyote. She had not expected a coyote type creature living in the Court but it shouldn't surprise her, sometimes the misguided found their ways to the packs instead of the clan where the coyotes stood firm together. The tiny woman slide off the back of her dark hued mustang and padded across the land to where the Court member stood. Her eyes were bright as she closed the distance between them, not knowing that this creature was the beast that had caused her many days worth of clean up along their borders.

She paused a few yards before the other woman, her slight height of 3' 6" standing at attention as she bowed slightly to the stranger before speaking. "I bring greetings from the Inferni clan. We've had a shift in our leadership these past few seasons and with that a whole cascade of changes have taken place in our lands. It's my duty to learn of the packs and clans that we share this territory with and to try and maintain reasonable relationships with them..." She studied the woman before her for a moment before she added. "I'm Zana, the Caelum of the clan.." she hoped that things would go easy between the two, for things had been tense between the clan and court once and she wished to learn more of the court as well as show that she would try and tread fairly with the pack.

Terra's ears swiveled forward, completely focused on the hybrid before her. She was so tiny! Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she took in the petite stature. Terra knew that coyotes were smaller than wolves, but this was tiny even for a coyote's standards! She was careful not to laugh, not quite ready to disrespect the guest that she had invited in. There would be time for games later, when she knew the hybrid better. They both had fox patterned coats, which was a delight to the red rogue, used to having her coat stick out far too much for her own liking.

Surprisingly the hybrid submitted to her, or maybe Terra shouldn't have thought that way. The bow was most definitely interpreted as submission when measured by how Terra had seen wolves act. Her own instincts for dominance and submission were there, but much less used. She often broke protocol, showing dominance to those she considered unable to put her in her place. She didn't necessarily think of herself as dominant, just loved driving them mad doing that.

Listening to the tiny hybrid talk Terra couldn't suppress a sigh. It was all just boring politics, nothing she cared for. A shift in the leadership, however...Did that mean that the hybrid who chased her away when she'd marked their borders wasn't around anymore? Mockingly Terra bowed a little, remaining taller than the hybrid she spoke with. Welcome then, Zana. I am Terra, and a horrible representation of this pack. I can give you a tour, if you'd like. Of course, you must realize that your blood holds no grounds here. Not that it held any grounds for Terra anyways. They might call themselves coyotes, but they were nothing but wolf hybrids playing a game.

Zana had only seen one other creature with a pelt like a vixen, and the other woman had been a relative of hers. She now watched this stranger who was like her in coloration but Zana could already feel that that was as far as their similarities would run. She studied the taller woman after she'd introduced herself, wondering just what this creature was thinking as she waited for a response from the lady.

IT didn't take her long at all to find out though, for as the woman spoke it seemed that Zana had found the worst canine in the pack to speak to of politics and social interactions. She would have sighed to herself but it was unbecoming of her position and she didn't like the attitude of the creature she was stuck with. She blinked for a moment as the woman spoke of Zana's blood and it holding no grounds here. The small Lykoi woman should have been offended but her sister had once come from these lands and she was rather proud she held no sway here, for she doubted the pack was any better than the rest she'd traveled through.

Her grey lilac eyes sparkled slightly as she admitted. "I should have called for a leader, but perhaps if you can take my greeting back to the pack later.." She smiled slightly if not a little bitter as she informed the woman of one thing she didn't know. "You know nothing of my blood and what it holds within these lands.. but if you would still wish to offer me a tour I would be willing to follow." She doubted that she would learn anymore than what the clan had done to the fellow from Anawaya who had informed Vesper and herself that he was a spy for their leader, but she would tolerate it for now. This was her duty and responsibility to the clan.

Terra grinned happily as the hybrid spoke. She had no problems telling the leadership that an Inferni hybrid had come to visit. That was actually something she'd do immediately. Terra wasn't too sure what to make of this offering, but it sounded like something leadership would like to listen to. As for Zana's blood, Terra didn't care at all what weight it carried. In her mind one's place was determined by their pack and their actions, not who their family was. The only exception to this was when the blood determined what you were, such as her father's blood making her a luperci.

Casually Terra strode off, already aiming for her usual path. She stopped after a few steps though. The pathways Terra usually took were rather secretive, formed for Terra's lupine shape. From the height of an optime it was indiscernible from the rest of the lands around them. On lupine however it was less well concealed, showing a slight part in the bushes. One could mistake it for a rabbit path, or even just the natural gap that sometimes formed between such bushes. A sharp eye would be able to see the larger space beyond that though. While it was too small for a wolf, a wiry coyote could easily fit in with room to spare. True, these were paths that Terra had formed herself, picking her way hidden across the land. Not all of them were used, and her scent was minimal as she varied her choices. Terra still didn't want to reveal it to someone outside of the pack though. Territorial she might not be, but secretive she was.

For a moment Terra stood there, trying to figure out where to go. It was unusual for her to move around outside her paths, as they gave her the best view point of the land around her as well as good coverage. It was even more unusual for her to be in optime, slightly disorienting her. Sniffing the air Terra at last decided on a path. Picking her way along it was a short time before they reached a large open meadow. An old swing set could be seen in one section, frozen in place. The field was almost perfectly untouched. It was a breathtaking sight. Proudly Terra looked behind her for the small female's reaction.
