Sitting in her room Terra stared out the window. The stars glistened brightly in the cold, making everything seem closer. It was a sharp light, piercing through the shadows around them despite it being a new moon. Comfortable in her mattress Terra recalled the tales she'd been told, of wonder and mischief and dark nights. It was a perfect night for all of this, the animals tucked into their warm dens, avoiding the darkness of the night. It was a perfect time to share stories and talk together. She just needed to find someone to share the night with first.

Daintily she stepped out of the hole, as gracefully as any creature could hope to be. The light reflected in her eyes, turning the jade green a spiteful gold. Silent as the grave she slunk down the stairs, careful to not make any noise. Outside she sat, watching the sky. There was no movement, but it didn't matter. It was hers, a treasure to watch and hold. Leaning back her head Terra howled, an eery sound echoing her coyote ancestors. Only the length of it revealed her twin heritage. Content Terra waited, wondering if another would come to share the night.

Sorry for the wait on this! New year has been a tad hectic Smile

The young patchwork female was padding about in the lands, her injured hand had healed nicely thanks to Liam, he had managed to fix it for her. She could not help but feel a fool for injuring it, having slipped and caught hold of the one plank of wood that had a nail sticking out of it, what a terribly foolish for thing to have done; but nowhere near as embarrassing as the moment that she had kissed Liam, his head had been so close to hers and she could not help herself, she was worried that now she had spoiled everything, he had been her best friend before it had happened, what if he didn't want to be her friend anymore? She had had to get out of the house tonight, Linden was badgering her as to why she had been so embarrassed when she had arrived home that very day and she was getting close to breaking point, there was a risk that she would tell him just to shut him up at the moment, but then the teasing would be merciless, he would chase her all over the lands, teasing her about what had happened. She already felt enough of a fool without her big brother taunting her about it. The idea that he might be understanding, more mature than she gave him credit for, never even crossed her mind, after all he was her big brother and therefore stupid and a pain, that was his job, even though he had been a wonderful playmate. Something had to be done about the problem of kissing Liam, what could she say to him to apologise? There would have to be something that she could do, she had left his birthday present on the steps of his house, knocked and run away, but she could not avoid him forever, besides, she missed him greatly, she wanted to see him again, to play with him, go on another adventure maybe... perhaps cuddle up next to him and kiss him. Robin flinched at the thought, now even her brain was betraying her! What was she going to do? She had to fight these strange and stupid feelings!

A howl cut through the night and Robin's bi-coloured ears turned to catch the sound, the voice was familiar to her, but it was one that she had not heard for a long time, the young female's tail began to wag cheerfully as she thought about the half coyote female that she had helped find a bedroom in the hotel. Perhaps the older female would be able to give her some advice? She seemed like the type that might know something about these feelings, she was a girl after all and as she was a bit older maybe she would remember how stupid the feeling was? Surely she would know something, perhaps it was just a phase that all girls Robin's age went through and that she would grow out of it? Oh how the patchwork female hoped so, then she and Liam could go back to their uncomplicated routine, without any risk of mushy stuff happening. Robin lifted her head and let out a cheerful howl, signalling that she was on her way and then she set off in a quick bounding pace towards Terra. It didn't take the small female long to reach the familiar half coyote, she grinned as she approached the female, her long tail began to wag quickly as she approached. She reached up and brushed her mane out of her eyes.
"Hey Terra! How are you? I haven't seen you in ages!" The young Aatte greeted her pack mate, putting extra emphasis on the word ages to make it seem like it had been even longer since they had last seen one another. She couldn't help but be very pleased to see the friendly female.

It wasn't long before her howl was answered by another. Ears pricked Terra stood up, watching for who would come. Soon enough a brown haired luperci appeared on the horizon. It was Robin, a wolf that Terra hadn't seen since she'd first moved into the pack. Tail wagging Terra shifted into optime form. Just as her form finished snapping into place Robin reached her, excited and pleased at her presence. Terra grinned at the enthusiastic greeting.

I was just thinking the same thing! We really haven't seen each other in a long time. Terra reached out to touch Robin's shoulder, just a brief touch as greeting. If they were in lupine Terra would have brushed against her, but this was the best she could do in optime. I'm doing quite well. I came outside because it's the perfect night for sharing tales. Will you join me? She hoped Robin would. It would be nice to swap stories with someone close to her own age.
