once so fine

These were not lands that she was unfamiliar with. Truthfully she knew most of these lands by heart, but where she was heading for now had once been home, when she had been the plaything to a king. She had been foolish and brash to think that just laying claim to the king had been enough, no, now she would take that next step and become what she was destine to be. It was in her blood, it was her heritage, and soon she would take it down a darker path than it had ever padded within the Sadira line.

How she wished that Haku was still alive to walk beside her, of course they'd fight and bicker the whole way, but when they were together their souls had twisted into something so outlandish it had left her craving more. No other leader had ever been able to give her what her cousin had done for her, and she didn't believe she would ever find another now who could either. Now she would take the throne and find her own souls to twist.

Emerald orbs gazed upon the borders of what was once a place she was proud to have helped form, not it seemed to be little more than nothing. The scents of a few elder members still lingered in the lands but new blood was plenty. She bared her fangs at the idea and padded slowly along the edge of the lands, careful to stay a distance away in case some young overzealous pack member decided they wanted glory and fame for their silly pack. If it happened though they would soon find that she was not what they were expecting.
