small pp of Dalgina, hope you dont mind Bria

He heard his sister's scared whines and fought the urge to go and comfort her, Kiara had to know it was not okay to lie to Dalgina or to Honrin. Her yelp didn't please him, he was not a ruthless bloodthirsty boy but a grim sense of satisfaction settled into his muscles, hopefully she had learned her lesson, he didn't take nicely to people lying. She was astonished at first as he growled at her, his body moved to protect the direction in which Dalgina had fled, he was her protector and they didn't need Kiara to look after them, that was what Mahn and Ghurana were for.

She was so much bigger than him when she finally did stand up and the boy worked hard not to back down or lower his tail and hackles. It was a face off for at most a few seconds before Honrin was knocked to the ground and held there. At first he struggled and snarled, outraged at her treatment of himself, didn't she know who he was! He tried to bite the paw that held him down but he couldn't gather up the leverage to do so. Eventually he fell still and stoically refused to look at the white she wolf. He was angry for himself.

He sat up when she commanded him to and felt Dalgina press in close to his side, as Kiara stared at him the boy twisted his head away from her, using the action of licking Dalgina's nose to hide his avoidance of her staring. When he did return his head forwards his eyes were on her chest rather than her face, and his voice bit out accusingly,

"You lied! Mahn says not to lie, its bad to do." There was still a small growl to his voice but not enough to warrant being pushed to the ground again or to be snapped at for.

Dalgina watched as her new friend curled up, whimpering in pain. Honrin had done something very bad, making someone hurt like that. She wondered if Olnayni really deserved that for lying. Lying was bad, that was clear. Hurting someone over that was confusing to the small pup though. She didn't know if her ronkyha, always so strong and wise was right in what he did, or if he'd made a mistake. Kiara did manage to get to her feet though. Dalgina covered her head with her paws as a brief struggle ensued. Peeking out Dalgina saw Honrin pinned down. The sight was almost painful to see.

Summoned out of her hiding place Dalgina slunk over tail tucked low. Unsure of what to do Dalgina whined, looking to her ronkyha for assurance. He still didn't seem very reassuring to Dalgina, angry and fierce. She pressed against his side, looking for protection from the larger white wolf. A tongue ran across her nose, and Dalgina pressed in even closer. The poor pup didn't know what to make of Olnayni anymore, her new friend turning into someone very frightening.

Kiara loved her job. She loved being the Ikusei of the pack. Laughing and playing with puppies was always something she looked forward to. However, like all jobs, puppy sitting had its bad points. Scoldings, for example, were never fun. Even those who gave the scolding hated doing it and Kiara was no exception. Seeing the fear in Dalgina and the anger in Hornin was not something Kiara wanted to face. However, the lesson needed to be taught. With unusual patience Kiara listened to Hornin's protests and she did her best not so show emotion on her face. The Ikusei wasn't mad, not really. She was upset and hated to see the puppies in distress.

"Hornin, you are right. Lying is bad, and for that I am sorry. However, your response was just as bad if not worse. Violence is NEVER the answer. Your fangs and claws are not for fighting. They are only meant to be used for hunting and in the most impossible of situations. You can only use violence when someone is trying to hurt you or you family, neither of which I was trying to do. Do you understand now, why I am mad?"

By the end of her speech, Kiara's face had softened. Hopefully both Hornin and Dalgina would understand what Kiara was trying to say. This was a difficult lesson and one many would never learn. The white female just hoped that she had impressed upon the two young wolves the values that made Ichika no Ho-en so wonderful.

The older wolf looked from Hornin to Dalgina. A lesson in violence was very important, but another lesson had to be taught as well: the difference between lying and pretending. By this time, all of Kiara's previous fierceness had dissipated. She still tried to hold herself in a dominant manner, for the sake of the lesson. "Hornin, Dalgina. Have you ever heard of acting?"

herp derp, Jace is a fail

The boy took after his mother with her stubbornness coursing through his veins. He sat stiffly where he had raised himself from the floor. Childish fury raged through him. This wasn't fair! He was being punished by a woman who was not his family, not of his blood for defending his own sister. None of it made sense to the honor and family orientated young boy. He huffed and looked away from Kiara sourly. She made the balls of light and dark dance around like crazy, as though they were excited although he couldn't figure out what about.

Dalgina pressed in closer to him and Honrin sighed less forcefully, turning his golden luminous gaze back to the pup sitter's body. Eyes lingering over the wounds he had pounced on to punish her. Her words filled his mind and shame crept up his spine, he was wrong to make her hurt in body just because she had done something he didn't like. The boy was smart and picked up on things fast. The boy had no understanding of her acting for fun's sake, as part of the game. He didn't really do games very well. A throb of depression filtered through him and the child's shoulder's slumped even more. He could feel things now but he could sense that if Dalgina left he would return to his emotionless state he experienced earlier. A cold shiver swept through him, that state was.. awful. It felt like his souls has been sucked out and replaced by numbness.

"I'm sorry." The words were small and quiet like the boy himself. At her question he shook his head. He didn't remove his eyes from the floor where they had fallen. He wished he could redo the last few minutes so that he hadn't jumped on her and made her hurt.

Kiara's words were still strict, but at least it sounded like the same kind of strictness Mahn used when scolding them instead of something terrifying now. Dalgina's tail remained low, but she was no longer shaking with fear. Her eyes widened as Kiara explained that lying and violence was really bad. Dalgina nodded her head eagerly, ready to agree to not hurting anyone. She didn't want that. Dalgina liked it better when everyone was happy and playing.

Honrin's apology was surprising for Dalgina. She'd never thought of her ronkyha doing something wrong. She nuzzled him gently, licking his chin. Whining softly her tail wagged briefly, trying to cheer him up. It was alright. Everything would be just right. Her eyes returned to Kiara at the last word, her head cocked to the side. What's acting? Her voice was hesitant, but some of the initial curiosity had returned to her.

When Hornin spoke his words of apology Kiara wanted to sigh with relief, and she almost did too. It took a great amount of control for her to remain steadfast and strong. The Ikusei had managed to get her lesson across to the young puppies. Hopefully they would remember the white wolf's words and would refrain from harming other's again. Kiara gave Hornin and approving smile. Although he didn't always act like it, Hornin was fairly wise and adult for a pup his age.

Dalgina's question wasn't surprising, her curiosity was getting the better of her. "Well acting is when...when you try to tell a story through your actions rather than just saying the story aloud. In order to tell the story you have to pretend that you are a character in the story. There are times however, when you can act without needing to be in a story. That is what I was doing earlier. I was acting. Now, you have to know when it is appropriate to act and when it is not. Knowing the difference is a tricky thing, and as you two saw earlier, I had picked the wrong time to act. Do you understand?" Kiara felt that it was important for the puppies, especially Hornin, to understand the delicate art of acting. After all, acting while playing could be very fun and Kiara loved to do it. If they didn't understand the difference between acting and lying, then playtime could be very difficult. At the same time, Kiara didn't want to make it look like she was justifying lying.

With all the serious talk the atmosphere in Jace's house had become stale and tense. It was a terrible feeling and one the pups were picking up on. Kiara turned to Hornin, his small frown a seemingly perpetual part of his face. The older wolf gave him a toothy grin. "Let me show you an example of acting." Kiara focused on her words and shifted her voice into a deeper register making her voice sound comical and less than frightening. "Grrr, I'm an evil wolf and I eat puppies for breakfast" With her tail wagging high in the air she half-jumped next to Hornin, hoping he would enjoy the game.

As smart as he was, her explanation of this 'acting' this was overcomplicated for his mind and thus he failed to grasp the concept. At her question of whether or not he understood the small pup simply shook his head with a confused tint to this eyes though his face retained its small frown and stoic setting. A ball of light flickered past him and the child's gaze moved to follow it for a second before snapping back to Kiara. The golden orbs lit up again with their glowing other-worldliness seeming to burn from within. The light boy looked to his dark sibling as she nuzzled him noting her confused expression as well.

His head snapped back to Kiara at her put upon deeper voice blinking in surprised as she rose to her feet and roared at them with language. He leaped backwards as she lunged towards him and barked at her. Characteristically taking after his mother the bark was deep and booming instead of the typical yap that most children had, of course it was no rival to Jace but it was noticeable in its own right. Subtly the edge of his tail flicked giving away his amusement but if one was not looking exactly at it at the time then they would not have noticed it at all.

Dalgina focused on Kiara as much as she could, soaking in the explanation about acting. It was story telling. Except without the story. Which made no sense, really. How could it be story telling if there was no story to tell? Unless they were living a story. The confused expression on her face faded as she lit up with the idea of them being inside a story. Then they'd be acting all the time! Wait, that still didn't make sense. It was very pretty to imagine though, all of them living an amazing adventure.

She nuzzled Honrin briefly before Kiara leaped towards them. Startled Dalgina leaped back with a yelp. Her tail wagged behind her, excited by what had happened. She wasn't too sure if they were playing again yet, but it looked like Honrin was enjoying himself, barking at the adult. Dalgina turned and ran behind Kiara, barking at her from behind. Happily she leaped for Kiara's tail, planning on biting it and using it to pull Kiara around after her.
