Again she found herself at the little clearing, staring at the twin boulders that marked the resting place of herself and Kiriska. Emotionless the navy eyes washed over the colorful rocks again, unable to read the strange words chiseled into the stone but knowing what they said anyway. Whether the three legged lady had settle fully into the other world or still floated in this one, Ceres could not be sure. Ceres could not be certain of anything anymore, for often spans of time became lost to her and when she was fully aware and in the world of the living it was all confusion and chaos. A slow, sad and lonely chaos. Those who remembered her name, and even those who did not, often called out to her, subconscious and she came to them. She had no choice. The Sadira blood still seemed to flow through her, even if she knew that underneath her translucent feet only decomposed bones remained of her worldly body. They called to her and she found herself in locations she had never seen with living eyes. They called to her and she found herself among family members she did not know the names of. They called to her and more often than not they did not know she was among them, watching them live their lives as she was unable to.

Why she had been pulled back into the world of the living, Ceres could not guess, but merely hovered above her own grave, waiting out the moments until the black abyss of death swallowed her up again. There she felt comfortable, happy, whole. Here she felt only an empty shell, waiting for something that would never happen. There was no living being now before her, like the little black and white puppy that so often forced her from her own world, and so Ceres Sadira did not think she would spend much time wandering the earth this time. She did not bother to even take note of her surroundings, aside from the fact that she was where she would always be, buried under the frozen soil now. That is was winter, and the dead of night, did not matter to the specter. Time was eternal and she had plenty of it, many more winters would pass and Ceres would endure them as she had every one since her death, a silent observer to the snow that chilled the living.

A flash of a small child seemed to jump from one grave to another, and though it could have been any of the stillborn children that rested with Kiriska, Ceres Sadira knew it to be the hybrid child Azzia Tao. The child clung to her ghost mother in death as she had while Ceres was alive, having caught glimpses of the dead girl on the tiny island in Vapor Lake when she had been living. Even now that was all Ceres was afford, tiny glimpses, but they came more often and came with the lingering presence of coyote hybrid. "Oh Azzia." The words came more from the mind of Ceres than from her lips, but had any living being been there they would have perhaps heard the whisper on the wind. Who else had passed the abyss and knew life after death as she? At times they joined her on the other side, she knew of dead grandchildren and great grandchildren and was sorry to see so many Sadiras' lives end so soon, but was glad to welcome them all home to her. Yet for her own children she had seen none of them since life had slipped from her, and with as much emotion as the ghost could muster, she mourned them. Not their death, nor their on-going life that kept them from her, but simply the uncertainty of which world they belonged to, and the terrifying truth that she might exist for eternity never knowing.
