Amy missed civilization. She missed it deeply. Amy missed people understanding what she was talking about, and the luxuries it held. She missed the intricate games she played, now appearing on a much more primitive level. She'd allowed her empire to be destroyed in order to pursue her dream on virgin soil, it was true, but the pain was still there. While many treasures had been gained, and her power was steadily growing, Amy still missed the beauty of the European cities and the tight bustle of canines who didn't even know each other living in the same area.
She stopped at a peaceful area amongst the hills Amy found herself traveling through. Leaving the wagon below with instructions to Hadley to watch it on pain of death Amy climbed a sharp hill. She enjoyed the tight scent of the pine as it wrapped around her. Stepping up to the top Amy surveyed the land around her. The primitive part of her soul cried out, and Amy howled with pleasure. It echoed below, meaningless besides the joy it gave her to know that she was out there, and heard.
