And it's with a heavy heart I say goodbye

Private for Alli/Anu <3 Backdated to before Soran left Crimson Dreams.

The sun was surprisingly warm today, considering the chill of the winter breeze, the thick blanket of snow on the ground and the low position of the sun, it's weakness compared to it's summer time heat, still somehow it was giving off a warm glow today, well comparatively warm at least. It had snowed the night before, flakes falling from the sky with steady regularity, but for now the snow had ceased, though a few fluffy clouds drifted across the sky, they seemed full to bursting point, they did suggest that there would be more snow on the way. Soran walked towards the house, her feet leaving neat prints in the snow as she did so, long legs taking her across the land quickly, she had been for a walk, partially to patrol, for at this moment the pack was still hers and it was partially an act of saying goodbye to the lands that had been her home for so long, the lands that had kept her safe and fed. She would miss them dearly, the choice to leave had not been an easy one for the sable female to make and it had been with a heavy heart that she had decided that it was time for Deuce and herself to leave, but the thrill of the new challenge had been overwhelming and she knew that it would be the right thing to do, her children and grandchildren seemed to be coping well, they did not need her so close by, besides she would always come back. Zalen and Titania had some wonderful ideas, but they were both so young, Soran could not help but think that her experience and age would be more needed with them than with the leaders of Crimson Dreams, after all Anu and Savina were experienced leaders, Soran had never had any reason to question their judgement, perhaps she would be needed to in New Dawn. It was time for her to leave, even though she was excited at the prospect of a new adventure she could not help but be sad and that was why she had been walking through the lands, dark hands brushing over the bark of the trees, saying goodbye to all that she would still love so dearly; even though she would be away from the lands she would still hold this place in her heart, as she had always done with Syemv and Aremys, she would always care for all the places that had once been her home.

The sable mother walked up the steps of the porch, heading into the manor, it was time to speak to the leaders and tell them that she was leaving. This was something that made her nervous, she knew the poor reaction Savina had had to Jazper leaving, in fact his name was almost a swear word around these lands now, she hoped that the leaders would be more understanding when she explained why she was leaving. She had decided to go and see Anu about this matter, just in case the news was taken badly, the sable leader was known for having more of a temper, so in truth Soran was taking the more cowardly route and going to talk to the calmer female. There was also the matter that Anu was the mother of her grandchildren, she needed for her to know that she would not be there and more to the point where she was going, so that if they ever needed her they would know where to find her, but they would also have the extra support from Anu. With a heavy heart the sable Censor padded into the manor, closing the door behind her, shutting out the chilly wind, she moved and padded up the stairs slowly, drinking the house in as she did so, pausing so that she might remember every detail, every sight, sound and smell of this old place before she left for the new one. Eventually the sable female reached the top of the stairs and turned, following the familiar scent of the silvery leader to her room. Her hand shook a little as she raised it slowly, she stopped and steadied herself, taking a few deep breaths and swallowing hard, she hoped more than anything that this meeting would go well, but there was of course the chance that it might all go horribly wrong, that Anu might throw her out of the lands tonight, she hoped not. It would have almost been amusing had Soran thought on this fact more carefully, the dark female, the brave warrior whose very core was steel, who was very rarely scared of any enemy or any threat, was now scared of having a little chat with someone who was so close to her. The truth was she was scared of hurting her, the last thing that she wanted to do was wound the very heart of someone she cared for so deeply. Finally she gained the courage she needed and she knocked on the door softly.
"Anu... Anu are you there? May I come in and speak to you? It's a matter of great importance." Soran called, her voice wavering a little with nerves.

One of the things that Anu had found she needed was rest. Her body was strong, perhaps stronger then before the war. Compared to another she was still frail and weak. Yet, the she-wolf's body was toned with lean muscle. The female was not a warrior, and even in her younger years Anu had never fought, but she could survive where she had thought that perhaps she would not. And for that hope she rested, allowing her body to recover and repair.

It was when she was settling down for that sort of close-eyed recovery that she heard a knock on her door. Anu had only started to arrange the fur on her bed before she noticed the noise. Come in. Anu replied, straightening and giving the dark woman a concerned look. Important was something that she did not hear from those that had come to her room in the past months. Mostly she had been visited by those wishing for a simple chat and nothing more. Is everything alright? She questioned. The dark female was no younger then Anu herself, and so she felt as if this was not a typical seeking of advice.
