Bring this farce to an end

Early morning was always his favorite time of the day, before people got up and the bustle of life started. It was a time he could relax and reflect upon the previous day before and the day ahead to come. The male found himself getting up earlier and earlier as the winter had set in. There was something unique about the crisp silence and foggy atmosphere that made his spine tingle and souls come alive, it was almost like when he was staring at the ocean in all its splendor although nothing could truly compare to the ocean's fervor, it was the closest he had found so far. The dusky boy was within a stone's throw of the courthouse but he had moved outside so that his practicing did not disturb anybody else, because Enzo was caring in that way.

He was stood facing a tree with a hastily constructed bulls eye upon it and was methodically shooting rocks at it from his slingshot trying to hit directly in the center every time. More often than not he failed in his task, hitting the outer rings. Maybe for anyone else this would be good enough for them but Lorenzo wanted to be almost perfect at it with an unwavering aim. His concentration was intense and it would be likely he wouldn't hear or notice anyone approaching until they made themselves more noticeable by talking.

sorry for the wait :x / +293

Anann pulled the hood of the black fur cloak up and over her ears to rest loosely atop her head as she made her way down the stairs of the courthouse. The winter had not yet proven harsh enough to warrant the garment, but despite the rather tolerable temperatures Anann found the extra warmth of the familiar pelt to be of comfort, like the company of an old companion. Jazper had done a fine job in crafting her prized pelt into the cloak it was today. They had come a long way from that first encounter, when Jazper had come to the borders of Cour des Miracles for a lesson on horses.

The sound of stones striking their wooden target was distinct in the still morning air and quickly drew Anann's gaze to the figure of one of Jazper's sons practicing with his slingshot. The young man seemed focused only on his crudely carved target. Not wanting to distract him from his practice Anann had remained silent as she watched from a short distance behind the lad. While only a few of the stones had struck the center of the target as she watched, the number of those that missed completely was drastically fewer. Impressive, considering the rate of fire. For there was hardly a pause between the shots as Enzo reloaded the slingshot.

Like some many of others of the pack, Anann had not yet had a chance for a personal one-on-one with Lorenzo. Naturally they had been introduced and met in passing on a few occasions, but beyond there was not much knew of the Felede. I would say your practice is serving you well. You're a pretty good shot. Anann spoke at last after watching for several minutes in silence.

The quiet and unsociable boy that he usually was he didn't know many of his pack mates, Annan was no exception to this rule. He kept to himself most times, striving to better himself so that he might prove of use should the time come. The slingshot looked positively delicate clenched between his huge paws and one would wonder how the stretchy material used to fire the stones retained its elasticity. He was pleased with his progress thus far, he hadn't been using his makeshift weapon for a significant length of time but he did practice daily for many hours.

The sound of her voice which was something he was not expecting caused his paws to jump slightly and that stone whirled away into the trees never to be seen again. He turned to see who it was that had disturbed him, emerald and violet widening as he recognized the Luna. It was a strange sight to see this huge male appearing submissive and docile to a female much shorter than himself in size and mass but he did, ears folding back and head bobbing respectfully,

"Ahh thank yee. Ah practeese a loot." An arm came to brush the long hair from his face, before the dust colored paw

Anann had tried to time her question between Lorenzo's draws, but the rapid secession of his shots had made it near impossible. He jumped a bit as she spoke and the rock completely missed the wide truck all together and went crashing through some leaves of a low hanging limb. Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to startle you. She said apologetically as the Knight turned face her. She truly hadn’t meant to, but none the less there was still a vague trace of an amused smile lingering on her lips. Lorenzo, isn’t it? There was little doubt in her mind. Anann was not one to confuse names and faces, even if introductions had been quite face to face.

As large as the young Knight was, it was really quite surprising that he had the agility to fire the small weapon as quickly as he did. It shows. She said with a pleasant smile. It was obvious from the rate of fire and accuracy that he had, indeed, spent a significant amount of time training. Though she wondered why he chose a distance weapon when he had the strength and size to make him a formidable opponent in close range combat. Still, Anann could not fault the young man. Either way, it was useful skill. But she would see him train hand to hand, or perhaps with a staff as well, if he hadn’t already.

Do you mind if I give it a try? Anann had trained with a bow and was a well enough shot if she was given time to aim, but she was no marksman by far. Still she hadn’t seen anything quite like Enzo’s slingshot. It had caught her curiosity, and if he didn’t mind, she would like to take a shot herself. Likely it would only give her more appreciation for the skill he had shown with it.

sorry for the wait and the fail post. Also, super wkward Enzo is super awkward XD

He waved off her apology with a large paw and a polite smile, the Luna was free to interrupt and scare whoever she liked upon her own lands, hell it wasn't like anybody could or would stop her. The Knight boy lowered his weapon to hang loosely by his side. Odd colored eyes observed the cream and caramel colored woman. Her pelt was the same hue as his own except his was darker more a dust and dirt that light and bright. The male shifted awkwardly, his large feet scuffing at the ground until she asked his name and his head bobbed back up,

"Yah, thas mehself." He sounded so stupid. The younger man sighed mentally and stiffened up his resolve, taking her compliment with some semblance of grace,

"Thank yee Luna. Ahh use eet to 'unt fer roostin' bird, make's eet easier eef they don't see ya acomin'" There was a stilted laugh and again he shuffled his feet awkwardly. He was a complete social klutz and he winced visibly. His mind blanked for a second as she requested to try it and his face deadpanned as the neurons shorted out. Then he fumbled to raise the weapon for her to take,
"Nae, I donny mind at all." He handed the crude slingshot over, along with a warning. "Jas be careful tha the elastic donny twang yahself. 'Urts a reet lot tha' does."
