OOC here.

He killed the rabbit, and dug in with relish. Terra's tail wagged happily at the sight. She didn't want her new friend to starve. That would be too sad. He stiffened up again though, bringing a frown to Terra's face. Maybe she shouldn't have caught the rabbit so they could have kept playing together. It wasn't her business after all, even if his stomach was growling loudly enough to hear from a distance. They'd just met. She had though, and now she'd have to face the consequences.

Never one to turn down a meal Terra sat down next to him. Taking a bite from the rabbit she swallowed. Terra wasn't extremely hungry, having just finished off her own snack a short time ago. It was the principal of the thing that mattered, so she took another couple bites before pulling back, licking the blood from her jaws. Sitting down her tail thumped lazily as she waited for Antykk to finish eating.

Totally going to bed soon I swear...maybe lol.

Something wasn't quite right. The scarred wolf had acted very unlike himself around this female; they'd played together even, if only for a moment. And they seemed to bounce back and forth between comfort and awkward tension, due in big part to his own attitude, he was sure. He thought for a moment, chewing a chunk of flesh slowly as he mulled over several possible solutions. Perhaps it was time to try something different?

Finishing off the rabbit, Antykk licked his lips clean before nudging the pile of fluff and bones aside. Standing on his fours once more, he lengthened his body in a brief stretch before concentrating all his might into lengthening his arms and legs, willing his hair to grow and hang about his eyes in long, black strings about his face. He stood before her, all six feet and seven inches of him, well-muscled and balancing on two feet as if he'd done it his whole life. He watched her carefully, for he knew how shocking this could be to those who knew not of the luperci. But he was curious to see if she DID know. Tell me Terra, he finally said, can you do this too?

OOC

Terra watched him finish off the rabbit. She pulled a bone loose and began to chew on it as he stretched out-only it wasn't just a stretch. Terra watched, her eyes widening as he turned into a luperci, hair falling down as he switched to standing on two legs. Getting such an up close view of the change was startling, not to mention he'd changed too close to her, forcing her farther back. Looking up at him Terra smiled. Easy as lying. Except around him, annoyingly enough.

Moving back Terra let her fur lengthen out as her legs shifted. Her paws stretched, forming fingers and her back curved. Long red hair fell down as her mane came out before standing up, on two legs as well now. Shaking her hair Terra let it fall down her back before giving a small spin. See? I'm one too. It had taken her a while to accept it as part of her, but that was done. Now she just had to accept she wasn't just a coyote, and had wolf blood as well.

He watched as Terra executed near the same movements that he did to bring about the change, her own limbs lengthening and shifting into a more human-like arrangement. Her hair was beautiful, falling about her face in copper tendrils that begged Antykk to run his fingers through them…but he refrained. Instead, his tail wagged softly until she finished shifting, and eventually she stood before him and declared that she was the same. He nodded, his amber hues softening as he reached out to take her into his thick arms. He gave her a gentle hug, relaxation trickling back through the tightest cracks of his being before he released her in addition to releasing another quiet chuckle.

He had often wondered what Minna would look like if she were still alive and able to change as he could, but he supposed this satisfied his curiosity enough as Terra seemed to be his beloved reincarnate, the only difference being her pelt color. She was fragile and petite with tough sinews just as Minna had been, and their voices were near identical as well. He couldn’t help but become overwhelmed by the need to hold her and kiss her and act as nothing had happened…but the hard fact that this was not his mate sent him reeling back toward reality with a monstrous headache and a hole in his heart. Though he believed in and respected a higher power, he often wondered how They could be so cruel as to taunt him with what appeared to be a near spitting-image of his beloved.

OOC

Antykk accepted her statement before pulling her in, thick arms wrapping around her tiny body. Terra felt near engulfed by it, swallowed by his larger form. It was safe and warm, and Terra nuzzled into him before he stepped back, chuckling again. Terra whined in confusion, not understanding. He hugged her, then moved away, but they had just met. His movements jumped from that of a long time friend to a near stranger, both which could be truth in Terra's discerning eyes. She had deep connections with strangers, and shattered strangers with old friends, now forever lost to her. Unless someone came from her birth pack, which she doubted. What she'd accomplished was unusual in the highest level.

Terra looked up at his face, eyes sparkling brightly. Why are you like this? You're a stranger one minute, a close friend the next. Which one are you? His behavior was such a conflict to her small mind as she stepped back, posed to flee if necessary. She already had one crazy friend, and that was hard enough to handle, never knowing when Belle might snap and turn violent. If he was another one, she couldn't accept him. Her wildness just wouldn't allow it.

The large male could tell from her body language alone that his flighty behavior had upset her, but her words confirmed the suspicion. He himself couldn't quite tell how he felt about this canine, his own confusion very much apparent on his face as he tried to decipher his emotions. She was so much like his former mate that being with her would take a very long time to get used to. But there was something so slightly different about her that kept him tethered to her, that he already couldn't bear the thought of losing her. So he extended his hands to her, offering another hug if she wanted it, and said, I'm sorry that I've confused you Terra; I did not intend to do so. It's just...you're so much like my past love that it scares me to get close to you, despite how much I want to be your friend. Does that make sense?

His brows pinched together in question as he looked at her, hoping beyond hope that this would not upset her further. It was true that he wanted to be near her; his basest male instinct and desire to mate saw to that. But he had been attracted to her from the very first moment he saw her; surely she could see that? Large ears flattening against his head, he lowered his muzzle shyly and looked at her with more submission now than indifference, something he was very unused to but capable of portraying all the same.

OOC

Terra watched suspiciously as he held his arms out for another hug. He spoke about being afraid, because she was so much like his last love. Tossing her head contemptuously Terra snuggled back into his arms, enjoying the warmth. Her eyes looked up, meeting his. She knew nothing of love, though she did know about losing those one cared about. Her entire pack had been left behind when she'd discovered what she was, and Terra would probably never see them again. The pain that came with that was familiar. Still...

His submissive behavior was a little amusing to the coyote, considering how much bigger he was to her. Playfully she reached up, licking his cheek. Well, I'm not her, and I won't disappear. At least, not if you ask me nicely. Terra's tail wagged playfully. This was more her grounds, tricks and veiled words. The wrong words would send her spinning out, teasing him with a flash as she disappeared. The right words would keep her there in his arms.

It felt nice to have someone to hold, for he hadn’t been able to enjoy the sensation for quite some time. He gave the tiny hybrid a gentle squeeze, and then eventually allowed himself the pleasure of running his fingers through her hair. It was absolutely mind-blowing to him how one creature could so easily chip away at the cold exterior that had formed like a callous over the many months since that tragic summer night. He supposed that perhaps this was part of the reason why he felt so inclined to stay by Terra’s side. Either way, he didn’t feel bad about letting his boyish side come out to play and flirt with this girl now. No, he would indulge in every minute of it.

Terra then spoke to him again, her words like a riddle and possessing her usual playful air. Antykk nudged his snout against her forehead and growled teasingly in return: Then I’ll make sure and send you away with a bite and nice smack to your backside. He chuckled again, stroking the fae’s back as his tail fanned happily behind him. He didn’t intend to send her away, but if a playful dismissal could encourage her to return to him again, he supposed he could indulge her at least once.

His touch was surprising, but felt good. Terra rubbed her head against him as he played with her long hair, relaxing in the sensation. It was like she was being groomed by her mother again when she was a tiny pup, safe and secure where nothing could harm her. That was the way she planned on keeping it too. Where nothing could harm her. Even as she teased wolves and stole from bears, Terra always measured the risk, always kept a chance of surviving there, even if it was only a slim one.

A playful growl answered Terra's words, sparking laughter from her. This was something she could enjoy, and would spend every minute of it with him. She smiled as her back was stroked before looking up at him. You wouldn't dare. Her eyes teased, knowing that he probably would, but pretending that he wouldn't. I'm being good, see? Her hand reached up, pulling a strand of hair out of his face. You wouldn't punish little old me for that, would you?

The brute could sense this girl enjoyed affection, and to a certain extent it didn’t surprise him; what creature DIDN’T love to be cared for? So he assumed it only fair to return her nuzzle when she reached up to move the hair from his face. He then blinked a time or two before holding her gaze again and chuckled softly, that elusive smile teasing his lips. This was all so strange to him, for it had been so long since he’d reacted to a female this way that the movements were foreign as well as was his smile…he didn’t smile. He hadn’t felt it in him to smile. But Terra almost forced him to smile, and he was okay with that.

It was strange, too, that he was acting so chummy with a fae he’d barely met. But again, there was something about Terra…Either way, he was enjoying himself and wasn’t about to put a stop to it. Lifting her off the ground, Antykk spun around but once before setting her down again and burying his muzzle in her neck and hair. Yes, you’re being an absolute angel, he teased, nipping at her neck before pulling away. But perhaps you’re a glutton for punishment? He looked at her then, a brow raised and a smirk on his face. He could bite and wrestle and tease until the sun went down, but he knew that eventually they’d have to part ways and count on Fate to bring them together again…that is, if it was meant to be. And though it pained him to think of leaving the young lass, the anticipation of when he was going to see her again made him feel youthful and alive. Thus, Antykk was very much ‘a glutton for punishment.’

OOC here.

Terra whined happily as she was nuzzled. Being picked up was a surprise for her though, and Terra yipped out. She clung onto him, looking at his eyes, a grin on his face. All she could do was trust him as they spun around, the wind pulling at her hair. Placed down on the ground Terra took a deep breath, trying to settle her mind. What was that? She didn't use optime much, and the experience was new for her. Looking back Terra felt him bury into her neck, hair covering his face from sight. She'd liked the spinning part. Yes, that was fun. Surprising, but fun.

Terra's neck was nipped, and she growled before nipping him back on the ear, pulling on it. Her hands slapped at his arm playfully. Isn't it the other way around? Her eyebrows raised as she smirked at him before pushing him away, breaking free of his arms. She stood ready to tackle him, eyes dancing playfully.

While he had expected Terra to react in one way or another, Antykk didn’t expect she’d hit him. For a moment his lips curled up in a soft snarl, but then they relaxed again once he realized it had been more of a teasing pat than a hostile strike. He really needed to calm down and actually get into their game; remaining in his serious state of mind would only prove destructive to their play.

Pausing for a moment, Antykk thought back to the days when he and Minna played together: How had he acted? What had he sounded like? What did they do together? All questions quickly answered with certain snippets of memory that played out like a scene of a play before his mind’s eye. Smile, he thought, don’t forget to smile. And so he did just that – allowing a grin to spread across his grey lips, he lowered his stance in order to catch the ready-to-pounce canine now standing before him. His tail swished mischievously, a dull light playing across his amber eyes as he imagined himself young again, playing with his dear Minna as if they were pups. His muscles relaxed, his breathing steadied, and he almost thought that, for a moment, he felt…joy.

OOC here.

It took a little bit for Antykk to relax into their game. Really, was it so strange for her to be so playful? This wasn't the first time Terra had had to teach someone how to play. First there was Eclipse, a wolf just her age in a peace pack. She'd been surrounded by adults with no one near her age to goof off with. Then there was Augustus, a scarred wolf that hadn't had any joys in childhood. Terra had played with both of them, teaching them the finer points of how to relax. It seemed she would be doing the exact same thing here, helping a much older wolf this time. She didn't mind though, digging into the opportunity with glee.

Playing on two legs was new for her though. She'd never done it before, all her games on four legs before this. Unless one counted the rather clumsy tackle aimed at Augustus, and she'd quickly shifted onto all fours so that it would be easy. Unaware that the lower stance was designed to catch her Terra flung herself forwards, only to be caught in his grasp. Squealing in surprise Terra twisted around, finding herself face to face with him. She growled playfully, tongue flicking out to catch him across the face. That wasn't fair, catching her like that, but her eyes still sparkled brightly.
