Shiloh had found it was easier to cope with her loss by training. She had healed Renee and found that the bird was true to his word. He hadn't left her and was loyal to her. His speech was choppy but he understood Shiloh and was helping her find strength in herself. She had prayed over the tree she was going to use and made a target by stripping some of the bark away. She stood at a distance and notched a arrow like she remembered Saxif doing and stuggled to pull back the string. She left loose the arrow and watched it land short of its mark. Shiloh knew that she needed to eat more but she also needed someone to train with. She knew that Sarian was with X'yrin and had she had been pondering if the child should stay with her. Shiloh failed at being a mother, she knew that and Sarian deserved a woman who would take care of her. X'yrin did that and Shiloh found it was easier to channel her emotions though the bow and pull back the string.

She let loose another arrow and this time it sailed close to the mark. It hit the tree with a loud thunk and landed close to the mark. She smiled softly and tried again, letting her emotions go though the bow again and this time she hit the mark. She kept shooting till she grew tired, which was fast. She sat down and Renee flew down with a couple of rabbits. He landed on her shoulder and dropped her the rabbits. "Therrrrrrre you gooooo kind Shiiiiiiloh.," he said with flap. Shiloh gutted the rabbits and gave Renee the hearts while she ate the livers. She wished someone would come and spar with her. She stroked Renee's feathers and sighed. She wasn't the best wolf to be around but she was kind. Shiloh thought back on how Jace had saved her. Why did the woman save her? They didn't get along at all and Jace had been the one to pull her out of the water. She owed Jace everything. Yet she would never talk to the woman because of how Jace viewed the world. So much to think about and get emotional about and no one to talk to. she stood and notched another arrow, letting it fly and land right in the middle of her mark. At least she could lose herself in practice....

If you don’t mind me assuming, could we say that this takes place after Breakdown? (http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index ... opic=24305 ) What kind of bird is Renee?

Neela picked her way through the trees, her left arm down by her side to try and reduce the amount of branches that caught on the fabric. Despite Neela's mistreatment of the wound she had somehow avoided infection, though the wound itself hadn't closed back up yet and had bled a small red patch onto the fresh bandages she had applied.

Neela was cleaner now, her mind more sound and her anger restrained once more within the fortress of locks and countermeasures she had created within her own mind. Her encounter with Jace had done the red-hued woman a lot of good, though it hadn't lessened her desire to leave the territory one bit. At this point in time the only thing that would stop Neela from taking her trip down to Halifax would be stormy weather, and it didn’t look like any of that was coming so the collie felt reasonably secure that her trip would be going ahead.

An odd thock sound caught Neela's ears from a clearing off to Neela's right and the collie changed course, curious as to what the source of the noise could possibly be. Coming out from the heavy tree cover she found Shiloh, eating what looked like the liver of a rabbit. Neela hung back in the trees for a while and watched curiously as Shiloh practised her archery, something that Neela had never been able to get the hang of herself.

After waiting and watching for a short while Neela stepped forward out of the tree's, her voice sounding across the clearing, soft and quiet, "Hello Shiloh." Neela's voice wasn't raised to attract attention to herself; the scent of her blood had been filtering through the air from her wound the entire tiem she had been watching, to suggest that Shiloh hadn't noticed the smell by overtly drawing attention to herself would be an insult to the younger wolf, albeit an indirect one.

Neela stepped up to stand besides Shiloh and considered the target the woman was firing at while rummaging around in her belt pouches, before pulling out a brace of throwing knives in a folding leather case, one of which she whipped out and threw towards the tree. Neela was pleased to see that the knife was reasonably accurate despite lack of practise, "Throwing is useful for a knife fighter" she explained, her voice still soft and tired from the earlier events, "How are you Shiloh?" The question was unloaded; Neela had no clue of the tragedy that had recently befallen the grey furred woman.
