He had stumbled into the abandoned city of Halifax. He was warned about these places, that there were shadows, and goblins whom lived here in these cities. There were spirits here too, he knew that they were, he could feel them if he concentrated hard enough. He had his Elk with him, the beast following close behind him, and he was in his Optime form, for the ability of being able to use his thumbs, just in case he needed to open some doors or something like that since this was a city. He was around to look for things that could be of use. More like gifts, for Siv, when he saw her again, because he knew he would see her again, there was no avoiding it, since the gods had already lead both the woman and the man in the lands. The gifts would consist of human treasures, as well as whatever pretty natural things he could find as well, meaning feathers and the like. He also wanted to find some new things for himself. The male already had found himself a discarded backpack, as if someone did not know how to use it or something. It was old, and it had some holes in it, but nothing big enough for things to fall out unless they were really small. He had a solution though, because he figured if he could find some needles while he was out here, he would be able to just sew it back together and fix it. Either that, or he could find some bones and make a bone needle and sow it if he needed to. In that case, the only thing he needed to find was some type of thread.

Reykr walked through the city with his hand holding onto the reigns that were on the elk's face, and the other hand holding his backpack on his back. He also had his very feral looking clothing on at the moment, so he almost looked like a caveman in the future or something like that. He wore a bear-cloak on his shoulders, with the paws around his neck, and then a fully skinned fox pelt that he wore as a loincloth. He moved rather slowly, because he didn't know what buildings to go inside of, because he simply could not read any of the old signs. He ended up just going into random buildings, and sometimes having to fight with Val, the Elk because he would try to come into the building with Rey and Val was just too big to get in there. " I swear that you are retarded, sometimes." he spoke to the dumb animal as he pushed the beast out of the stores and then go back to searching for what he was trying to get. Sooner or later he would get lucky and find himself a jackpot of things. This included some needles, and also some good fabrics that were good enough for what he needed them for. He also was able to find some leather bags that still had gold in them, a rare find indeed. Sure, stealing it off of a skeleton was no big deal for him, as long as the spirit was not so inclined to haunt him because of a few shiny coins and a leather pouch.

Rey had sighed lightly as he started to grow hungry. There were no real big meals around, and even though the male had been a hunter in his last pack, he was finding it hard to always have to provide for himself, and if he didn't then he starved. This was why he was on the leaner side than when he was back in the Hearg. He had looked around and he had found himself some good rope, only half of it had been chewed by rats, but the other side was really strong and sturdy, so he took this as well. He thought about what else he could get around these parts, if he was lucky, he would be able to catch a snack or two while he was looking around. The city was so big, that it was hard to choose where to stop and where to just pass by. He wanted to also see if he could find some more tools that he could use for wood working when he is able to build things again. He wanted to build a cart for Val the Elk so that he could have Val the elk pull things around. If he could find already made wheels, that would be perfect, or really any good pieces of wood that he would be able to work with.

So he searched for these things, and he also thought of more things he can search for, nails, rings, blankets and things that he could use for Elk's maintenance, like a brush of sorts. Or he could just make that out of bone if he was able to find himself something small to eat. So he continued the search, trotting through the streets to find the next building he could raid for his shopping pleasure.

Since his meeting with Alder, Trent had spent some time in his optime form. His shifting was still very uncontrolled, much to Trent's endless frustration, but he knew he needed to simply accept it for now. Today, Trent was also in his optime form, after a rather painful shift this morning. He thought it ought to get better in time, but so far it hadn't gotten better at all.

Sebastian had told him that he resided near Halifax city and, after some searching, Trent had finally found the place. It was rather creepy to walk through a place with so many foreign landmarks; Trent had never seen many of the things that resided here, like buildings. He looked, perhaps, like a humanoid, but Trent felt far from it.

It was not Alder, who'd been friendly, or Sebastian, who'd invited him to the city, but the dark male that witnessed his first shift that was on Trent's mind. But damn it, he should be thinking of some hot chick instead. Trent scratched his cheek, a dark frown on his face as he walked through the city. Hunger raged through Trent, and he clasped his arms around his waist and shivered. He was cold, although more from the lack of energy that the hunger and shifting had cost him than from the weather. Wind blew past him as he walked through the eerie uninhabited city when he noticed another on the streets.

It wasn't Sebastian, though. Trent tilted his head and glanced at the other, wiping his long, cinnamon mane partially out of his face so he could see better. He swallowed, unsure whether or not to approach the other male. He'd met primarily males here so far, and Trent wasn't sure if meeting another would do him any good. He needed some pretty girls to drive the bad thoughts of the grey male he had met during his first shifting away. Not another male to remind him of his... condition.

However, it would be rude to turn away a meeting when the other had most likely already seen him anyway. To turn away now seemed stupid and evasive, and so far Trent's experiences with the wolves in these lands had been positive enough. He swallowed dryly and nervously approached the other wolf in optime form, who seemed to be gathering things from the street. Ah, hello..? he called out awkwardly from a small distance, and he offered a forced, nervous smile at the other male.

Large ears swiveled back around, and then the pause of the elk and a turn of it's head had made Rey wonder what the beast was hearing. Val also took in deep breaths, snorting out the air as he tried to identify the smell. He couldn't though because he knew not of these lands. Reykr looked where the beast had looked, but saw nothing with his sweet corn eyes. He took a deep breath to try and get the scent that his steed did, and he did find a scent that was unfamiliar on the land. Another Luperci no doubt. Reykr's hackles on his back stood up, if only because he was soon able to identify the scent to belong to a male. He did not feel as if he wanted to be nasty, but he was always prepared for it because the last males that the man had met had been quick to gang-up on the hunter and steal everything of his, including his steed. The attack set his travel back a good week as well as the fact that he needed to track them and find a way to dispose of them so that he could have all of his things back. He had been successful, obviously since he had all of his things now.

His pupils dilated as the cinnamon, chocolate, and cream man had come from seemingly nowhere and he started to walk towards the cola and bronze wolfdog. Rey stood completely still, and his tail had raised to a more dominant position and his ears were positioned high on his head and towards the other loner. He held back a growl because the other male already seemed to be nervous about even approaching him. The hungry hunter watched the other male closely though, and when the other had spoken to him, he gave a small nod of his head. Greetings, who are you? spoke Reykr as he took Val's reigns in his hand to keep the beast from straying away, or just in case he needed to make a quick get away. He doubted it though, from the looks of it, this being didn't even look comfortable in his own skin. You from around here? Know any good hunting spots? asked the male, his voice slightly authoritative, a Reykr Helsi that only other males seemed to be able to see.

Trent couldn't really get an idea whether the other was friendly or hostile; at least he didn't jump at him in assault, but neither was he being especially heart-warming. The coywolf shifted his weight nervously, but felt relieved at the other's first words. If he had been feeling hostile, then he probably wouldn't have asked a question to get to know Trent in any way. And in his experience, 'greetings' was a pretty friendly greeting.

Trent cleared his throat and wiped a few strands of long mane from his face nervously. "I'm Trent." He hoped that the other would give something in return; a name, an identity, anything. As far as Trent could tell, he didn't belong to any pack, but then, he wasn't sure if his nose was reliable at all with all the strange, new scents the city was showing him. For all he knew, he might've just not smelled the present scent of a pack, of other wolves, dogs or coyotes, simply because the city clogged up his nose and drove out all of the scents that weren't junk city smell.

The other luperci's next question took away some of Trent's initial positivity, since he had no good answer to the other's question. Trent didn't know any good hunting spots, sadly, especially with all of the new city smells overpowering the other, good smells. He shook his head, hoping that the negative answer wouldn't discourage the other too much. "Ah, no -- I mean, it's my first time here. Ah... What do you hunt here?" He hoped it wasn't too dumb a question, but Trent had gotten curious; he was used to hunting in forests or plains, but not in cities.

Reykr did not have to work hard for a name, for the cinnamon haired male readily gave the teak man his name. Reykr briefly thought about giving his own name to the skittish looking male, but with the way the other male was looking at him, he could tell that it was expected to give his name. That made him think even more about giving his actual name. His longer than normal ears fell back on his head lightly before he tipped his head away slightly. Reykr. the male simply spoke his name, showing little trust, and even smaller amount of hospitality. Reykr did not owe this male anything, so why would he feel the need to be warm with this male? He didn't, so he was slightly more cold than he usually was, and he was ten times colder than he was with females. Hell, you could easily tell the difference in the male when he was faced with another male. Reykr had never really liked other males, for he was under the impression that all other men were competition, as primitive as that thought was. It was true to him because he was always taught in the way of the hunter. He was a hunter, and the females were always the prey, other males were other hunters, and sometimes, hunters can want the same prey. Reykr did not like that.

When the other shook his head and told him that he had never been here before, Reykr sighed lightly and put his arms across his broad chest. His tail flicked lightly when the male went on to ask Rey what there was to hunt in the concrete jungle and the male looked at the other one and shrugged his shoulders. The only thing I've seen 'round so far is mostly birds, but there are some rats about too. Other than that, I haven't found much. spoke the male gruffly as he stood there and pet his steed. Reykr was hungry, and he wanted to eat something, but the only food around was Val, and there was no way that Reykr was going to kill his best friend. There was no way in hell that he would ever do that. Val had to be broken before Reykr would even consider eating the stag. After he did the deed he probably wouldn't want to live with himself either. The gods had given him this steed for a reason, and that reason was to not kill it. That's what Reykr believed.

Sweetcorn eyes looked back at Trent. Two pairs of eyes are better than one. Would you like to join me in finding something to eat? the male asked Trent as he tilted his head at the shorter luperci.

Reykr. That gave Trent a name, at least, which was a comforting thought. It was as though he was no longer conversing with a total stranger, but with someone whose name he knew. Sure, in truth he was still very much a stranger, but Trent was great at fooling himself into feeling more comfortable around the stranger.

Trent was actually rather surprised that Reykr was trying to hunt something here, in this place of stones. He hadn't really thought there was anything good in there, anything edible. Trent didn't say so though, since he didn't want to look the fool. He just nodded when Reykr asked him to look for stuff. "Yeah, okay." Birds, and rats. Trent didn't really like rats, although he liked some of the bigger birds. He just had never been one for tiny things; he preferred larger catches. Lately though, he'd been living off of the tiny stuff only, since he definitely couldn't bring down larger prey by himself.

Thinking about larger meat, Trent wondered aloud, "Maybe we'll find a deer, or something." He wasn't sure if deer did come to this city, but if rats and birds did, then why not deer? Trent, who knew nothing about Reykr other than that he was here to hunt stuff and look for food, felt kind of awkward, having nothing more useful to say. He glanced around, but so far saw nothing edible. This place didn't look like the kind of place that, well, living food would hide out.
