OOC

The feel of the snow under her feet, watching the goal grow closer. It all fueled Terra's playful spirit. Lifting her head she yipped into the air, letting the land carry it across. It looked like she was going to win. Glancing over her shoulder she spotted Oak, working on closing the distance. It didn't seem that he was working on racing towards the lake though. It took a minute, but she realized that the lake was no longer the target. It appeared her flashing tail was.

Barking with laughter Terra worked on putting on a burst of speed. Zig zagging across the ground Terra tried to make his intended target harder to catch. If she'd just kept going in a straight line it was obvious what would have happened. She would have been caught, pinned underneath him. She would stare into those soft blue eyes, he would lick her...Terra didn't really know what might happen from there, but she shook the thought away, trying to keep herself from getting caught instead of intentionally giving up. She had slowed down a tad, though she didn't realize it.

[html]if he catches her is your choice ^^... also so sorry for the wait!

She was quick, but his long wolf legs and wide paws made traveling in the snow easy. The drifts were not even high, for the winter’s mildness had kept it from snowing as it had the year before. Still, Terra of the Court was quick and once she realized that it was not the lake he was running for she began to maneuver in the hopes of avoiding him. Oak was a keen hunter, and as any hunter had to be he was patient and diligent. For a moment she was not a coyote but prey that fought for life and he a predator wishing to steal it.

Oak veered with her, and zagged as she did. He was gaining inches, but the intensity of a hunter waned when he remembered that it was just a game and his seriousness would be frowned upon. Still he kept pace, and moved to cut her off. Oak then pushed off his back legs as he drew just a bit closer in the hopes of pouncing on her.

OOC

Oak was driving her like prey, and Terra didn't care. At any moment she could break the pattern, having the maneuver built into her mind like it was in all hunters. She knew what would change it, allow her to escape. Instead she played her part, and played it well, moving and weaving like any prey would. Cheeky grins revealed that she wasn't thinking like any prey though. Oak moved to cut her off, and Terra found herself forced to step back, rapidly changing direction.

For a moment the game was forgotten, her mind working on finding an escape from the devious wolf before her. Giving up was not an option. She could dive underneath him, turn her teeth on him and startle him into letting her go. The moment passed, and Terra found herself waiting to be caught. Oak leaped into the air, young strong muscles bunched underneath him. Terra kept running for a moment before twisting, exposing her belly as her green eyes flashed at him, caught and pinned underneath. You win.

[html]wrap this up?

Large paws stretched out into the air, and to his surprise when they fell back to the snow there was a coyote beneath him. She teased him, calling him a winner and Oak remained on top of her for a prolonged moment. Realizing that it was far from appropriate the Dreaming wolf took the necessary steps back to allow her to stand. He then flopped into the snow, his breath coming from his mouth and his ears back as he regained his energy.

Mouth open wide in a smile he laughed at their antics and wondered if they would ever actually get to the lake as he had promised. But, he figured it didn’t matter. They were having enough fun right where they were. It was not the tour that he was supposed to give, but he had a feeling that she didn’t care much about that anymore.

OOC sure

Oak was above her, strong and powerful. He stood there for a long moment, declaring his dominance over her. Her feral mind automatically accepted and adjusted to this, not realizing it might have been subconscious on Oak's part. Happily she reached up, licking his chin before he stepped off. Rolling over Terra grinned at the panting wolf, tail beating at the snow. This was fun. Hardly as satisfying as she would wish, but that was alright. She still had time to get the burning to stop. Her image of Oak managing to bottle it, sooth her with his cool touch had her tail twisting to curl into her side, ears partly laid back with relaxation and anticipation.

Of course, that wouldn't be happening, much as Terra wished it. Laughter rose from the brown wolf, and Terra stuck her nose into the snow, feeling the coolness on her hot body. Playfully she snapped at the snow, tasting it's coldness and swallowing it down. It was peaceful where they were, though most certainly nowhere near where they had originally been aiming for. That was just fine. Relaxed and happy she was content to spend the day with Oak, just letting it slide by until the moon summoned her home.
