Sky so Blue
#1
Everything was still and quiet, the silence of the dark room broken only by the steady breathing of the hybrid that slept within, curled up on a pile of furs, and the gentler sounds of the same for the small pups who also lay asleep, curled against their mother's belly, their small furry forms rising and falling with their breathing but otherwise stirring little.

At least that was true for three of the pups, for one was awake, and bored.

And as anybody who knew Keldava, which admittedly was very few people beyond her immediate family, would say, " A bored Keldava is a curious Keldava." At the moment Keldava was curled up besides her mother and siblings, grumbling internally at the heavy paw of her mother which currently rested over her back. For the last five minutes, though with no way nor knowledge of telling the time it felt like an eternity to the young girl, Keldava had been wiggling gently, trying to get free without waking Mahnaya. If Mahnaya was awake she would probably make Keldava go back to sleep, but Keldava had already been to sleep! If Mahnaya didn't tell Keldava to go back to sleep then Keldava was free to do whatever she wanted, and Mahnaya couldn’t tell her anything if she was asleep!

Satisfied with this logic Keldava continued her efforts, eventually managing to worm her way free. Instantly brown eyes shot open from their half awake state, becoming bright and wide as she scanned around the room. For the most part the room was dark but bright light shone in from the window and beyond that, a glimpse of the tochina, so blue and pretty!

Keldava stared at the sight for a while, entranced by the blue of the sky and the bright light coming in through the small gap before she turned away, determination blazing in the puppy's eyes, she would go outside today and see that sky properly! Still, and the very thought caused Keldava's ears to fold back against her head, it wouldn’t be very fun going outside alone, with nobody to share the sights and smells with.

Moving with a clumsy approximation of stealth that somehow miraculously didn’t wake Jace up Keldava made her way back over to her mother and surveyed her siblings. Dora' was trapped by Mahnaya's leg similar to how Keldava had been and even if her sister did manage to get loose Keldava doubted that the timid she wolf would want to come with her. 'Rin was similarly out of the question as he would want 'Dora to come with them which left…

"'Gina!" Keldava hissed, the whisper uncomfortably loud in the quiet room. 'Gina was sleeping towards the outside of the bundle and could easily move without disturbing anybody, and 'Keldava was sure that she had seen her sister leaving the house before, though where she went was beyond the brown puppy's imagining. "'Gina wake up!" Keldava's tail wagged furiously at the thought of exploring outside with her sister.

Dalgina nuzzled happily into the blankets. She was dreaming of snowflakes. Each time one brushed against her she would jump to another one, floating through the tochina. Her laughter floated through the dream as she moved, the tochina slowly changing from blue to purple and back again. Relaxed, light as a feather, she drifted through the air. Nothing could be better for her. A smile flitted on her face before a voice called. In the dream Dalgina looked around, before the call came again and Dalgina realized she'd been asleep.

Jerking up Dalgina looked around sleepily, peering through the room. Everything was nice and quiet, just a sliver of light coming in. Focusing Dalgina turned and her eyes landed on her tingla. Keldava? Why wake me up? I was dreaming about snowflakes. Dalgina was a little grumpy to leave such a pretty dream behind, but she agreeable stretched out, yawning. Her pink tongue curled up as she stretched upwards before settling back down. Wide awake now Dalgina disentangled herself from the blankets.

Happily Dalgina licked her sister, excited about what they would be doing. Keldava always had an idea up her sleeve, making it a lot of fun for them to run around together. While Dalgina was more slow paced, stopping to look at things and admire them, Keldava was always racing off to the next new thing, eager to learn everything about it right that instant.

Keldava's tail wagged furiously as her sister slowly grumbled herself awake, the hyperactive puppy barely restraining herself from bouncing about in excitement. Keldava returned her sister's greeting lick twofold and more, showering her sisters face and ears with quick, excited licks before she backed off and sat down with a quiet thump, tongue hanging down as she panted and spoke, "Want to explore! See the Tochina!" Keldava let out an exited whine at the thought of finally venturing outside without Mahnaya hovering over her shoulder the entire time. As much as Keldava loved her Mahnaya she seemed to have no sense of adventure! Always making Keldava come in early and not letting her go look at anything that looked or smelled interesting.

Too excited to stay still Keldava dashed over to the length of wood blocking the puppies off from the rest of the house and started replaying her master plan, "Me climb, Tingla push! Then Tingla climb and I will pull!" Keldava then stood there, tail wagging and feeling rather proud of herself for working this out, and waited for Dalgina to respond.

Keldava managed to stay still for all of two seconds before her mounting excitement became too great for the puppy to hold in. Spinning on the spot Keldava ran up to the wood and launched herself upwards, small claws scrabbling against the wood for purchase. Keldava never tdoubted for a second that her sister was right behind her, puppyish naivety and excitement combining to make her assume that Dalgina must agree with her cunning plan!

Dalgina whined a little as her face was promptly given a wet slobbery bath by her tingla. Rubbing at her face she listened to the talk, her tail beginning to wag faster. Going outside and seeing the tochina sounded like lots of fun to her. They'd been taken outside before by their Mahn, so she didn't see anything wrong with what they were doing. Dalgina had gotten out of the nursery before, but at that point she'd been much more interested at staring at the sunlight filtering through than going anywhere. She'd just been trying to get closer. The only time she'd done anything else like this was going treasure hunting with Pandora. She'd been so proud, working to help Mahn find the treasure from the story.

Listening to the plan Dalgina trotted over. She shook her head. Dalgina didn't want to be under Keldava's stinky butt. No. I climb you push. You climb I pull. That made more sense to her. Convinced that Keldava would agree Dalgina began climbing up her tingla's back as she scratched at the wood excitedly. Dalgina pushed with all her might, halfway up and sure that she'd be coming down the other side with a whoosh. It was like the first time she'd gotten out, except that Keldava didn't flatten out like the stuffies had. There was a lot more wriggling though.

Ze PP, eet was approved by you no?

Keldava let out an indignant, but quiet because the puppy was all to aware of Mahnaya's presence behind her, squeak as she felt claws digging into her back as 'Gina used her as a springboard to climb the wood. Unable to drop without causing a painful and noisy pileup Keldava somehow managed to hang onto the wood until she felt teeth in her scruff helping her up the rest of the way.

Keldava balanced on the wood and sent a disquieted glance towards her tingla, "You heavy." she muttered, stretching her shoulder muscles before she suddenly perked up, realising where she was. Below her lay the master bedroom and from there, the outside! Tail whipping like a propeller Keldava launched herself down off the wood, taking the impact running, and raced through the house. As she rounded the corne rout of the bedroom she could see a small glimmer of light where the front door had been left ajar and sped through it, her fur just scraping the sides of the gap.

Outside the house the midday sun was shining bright and Keldava couldn’t contain her excitement at finally being outside, spinning around and letting out a high-pitched yap as she did so. Keldava sat down facing the house, panting as she waited for 'Gina to emerge. The little puppy was quivering with the desire to run but she didn’t move, waiting steadfastly for her sister so that they could both explore together.

OOC vhy yes eet vas

Dalgina watched her tingla race away unhappily. They had just gotten over, and now Keldava left her behind? Unwilling to stay that way Dalgina bounded forward, large puppy feet scrambling as she scurried over the floor. She reached the front door, carelessly left open, and bounded through. Her paws hit olnayni, and Dalgina backpedaled for a second before she got used to it. Tail wagging Dalgina surveyed the outside. It was so big, the tochina reaching above them.

Forgetting Keldava the dreamy puppy wandered around, staring up at the tochina. Standing up on her hind legs she batted at the air. It was so big and wonderful, and all hanging right there in front of her! She barked happily, falling over before she twisted back onto her feet. Spinning around Dalgina continued to look up, awed by the beauty. She could just play here forever, uncaring of what was around her and just watching the world pass by.
